This is animated kind of for practice, kind of just because I think is fun and intresting to mix comic and animation, and yeah I guess a bit of revange, if thats the right word on this case cause there was another comic I wanted to do this with and chickened out of it (maybe the correct for of it would be avenge?🤔)

Now let me go into story mode:

When I was starting this au I was just gonna do One's concept design and the one scene that got stuck in my head: him dropping down for his introduction, and that was it

So I thought "I could make this an animatic" and I started storyboarding it on my sketchbook and then went "wait this is too much work, I don't wanna do it.... I'm gonna make it a comic" but there was That Shot that I had in mind and so clearly and I wanted to see it in motion so bad

Animation in comics is something that has gotten stuck in my head for close to a decade, long ago (in a galaxy far far away) I saw these zelda comics by Zac Gorman

I think it was the first time I saw a comic animated, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then I saw a gifset of the How to Train Your Dragon "Downed Dragon" scene with Hiccup walking on the forest and it was composed as a comic, but they were gifs of the movie, I think that's what settled it in my mind that I would want to tell a story that way at some point

But I didnt know how to animate or make comics

So I started practicing, one step at the time, I decided to start with making comics (I started drawing my httyd fic since it basically was already scripted, but I realized how complicated that was and gave up lmao)

I've used the putting some animation to comics before, in small forms and not that often, really, but I was practicing for that moment when I had a Big Story for me to tell in that medium. Thing I have now and I'm working on!

So I took on httyd comics again and used another au I had to practice long form comics and animation on comics with it. I realized at some point that I was biting more than I could chew and decided to tone it down and keep it to just comic, I would get the oportunity to practice animation-comic making at some other point

And so this au came in taking down my door

I used what I had storyboarded as thumbnails for the comic and decided to make some small bits with simple animation and That Shot fully animated frame by frame (the original idea I could never make it look good so I settled for something simpler, I still want to try and re-do that animation, not to change the comic, but just as a bonus mostly for myself)

So yeah

It's been for pratice when I finally get to do my original story (that I'm working on rn)

Just cause I want to cause it looks cools and I've been mening to do something like this for so long

And I'm avenging that first httyd comic I tried to do and kinda the current httyd comic cause I took out the animation of that one

As for tips for biginer animators?

I should say learn the animation principles since those are your bases, everyone hates doing the bouncing ball cause is boring but is actually a good start.

but honeslty? chose a guy and go nuts with it <- thats my tip of how to improve on anything art related, making fanart of httyd has gotten me this far

Chapter 11

Dom gently picks me up off the bed. I watch Damian leave the room as Dom adjusts his grip on me as I had begun to slip. He slowly walks out of the room me in his arms.

His touch is incredibly gentle and I find myself struggling to not fall asleep. I love bath time but I never stay awake long enough for my hair wash. I don't let myself fall asleep on the way upstairs. We get to the bathroom and Dom brushes my hair so it can be washed correctly.

Dom gently places me in the lukewarm water of the tub filled by Damian. I sit happily as he washes the sweat off of me. I succeed in staying awake for my hair wash. I close my eyes as Dom scrubs my scalp with his nails. I have never been more relaxed in my life. He finishes washing me and he helps me out of the tub.

He drys me off and Finn walks into the bathroom to take over. Dom drains the bath before leaving. He helps me step into my onesie trying his best to not let the sleeves get in the puddles on the floor. "you have a good bath?" Finn asks slipping a sleeve onto one of my arms. "yeah, I tried really hard to stay awake for it" I mumble to him.

"you know you don't have to stay awake," he says slipping the other sleeve onto me. "I know but I never stay awake long enough for the hair wash," I say as he begins to do my buttons. "is that your favorite part?" he asks. I hum in response as he finishes up with my buttons.

Rhea walks into the bathroom to get another bath for herself started and the shower going for the boys. Finn takes my hand and starts leading me out of the bathroom. "oh I almost forgot to tell you" I say to Finn making Rhea turn her head to look at us. "what is it, sweetie?" he asks.

"you missed a hole at the bottom," I say referring to my buttons. Rhea laughs at Finn as he kneels to redo my buttons. "why didn't you tell me?" he asks smiling and I furrow my brows in confusion and annoyance. "I just did!" I whine making Finn and Rhea laugh as well as Damian who had just entered the bathroom.

Damian make his way over to the sink and grabs a pair of tweezers from the counter. He bigin to pluck the hairs growing between his eyebrows.

"I meant when you noticed I missed one" Finn explains. "oh because I wanted to keep talking," I say setting off another shorter round of chuckles. "you still have to have dinner you have plenty of time to talk," he says almost done with my button.

Once Damians done with his eyebrows he takes his sweatpants off and gets in the shower started for him by Rhea.

"so I should tell you now you missed another one," I say. "do you want me to do it?" Rhea asks as Finn starts doing my buttons for the third time. He nods his head  in defeat and gets in the shower with Damian. Rhea does my buttons properly on the first try. She takes the hair bush on the bathroom counter before grabbing my hand and taking me to the bedroom.

She sits me on the bed and brushes my hair quickly so she can get to her bath before the water is cold. Once she's done she picks me up and takes me downstairs where Dom is starting dinner in the kitchen. "Dom go have your shower Finn will be down here to do dinner in 2 seconds," she tells him.

"but he just got in the shower," I say confused as I look up at Rhea. "he isn't washing his hair and he's super fast," she says as Finn walks downstairs soaking wet and still in his towel behind Rhea."go shower Dom, I don't need your sweat dripping into my food" he jokes as he makes his way to the kitchen. "I don't need your dirty shower water dripping into my food" Dom jokes back as he leaves to take a shower.

"Oh, and Dom!" Rhea calls out as Dom was now upstairs. "yeah?!" he calls back. "tell Princess Damian to hurry up I don't want y/n to be alone for too long" she tells him and only gets footsteps as a response. She rolls her eye and mumbles under her breath "I can't see you nod your fucking head".

She places me on the couch and tells me to stay there while I wait for Damian. She then leaves to go take her now very cold bath. Finn checks up on me every few minutes while we wait for Damian. I sit watching the stairs waiting for Damian to come down. "Daddy!" I call out when I finally see him coming down.

"Hello sweetheart," he says making his way to the couch. "what the hell took you so long?" Finn asks from the kitchen. "Dom decided to be a brat so I taught him a bit of a lesson before handing him off to Rhea" he responds and it finally clicks why there are 2 high chairs and enough room for 2 people in my crib.

"We still haven't told her," Finn says in a hushed voice as he peaks around the corner. "oh... It was time she knew, it's not like she's gonna disobey him when he isn't little. Plus he has been dying to go into little space" Damian says neither of the boys acknowledging me. "probably why he was being bratty" Finn says going back to the kitchen.

Finally, Damian looks at me and begins to clarify. "Dom's a little too sweetie, that's why there's enough space for the 2 of you. You're still our baby girl and when he's not little he's your daddy, okay?" he says sitting down next to me. "okay" I say happily not really caring and just glad I'm not confused anymore.

"do you have any questions?" Damian asks expecting me to be less than thrilled that I'd have to share my things and my daddies and mommy. "no, I'm just happy I'm not confused anymore. I had no idea what the other high chair was for, I don't know a lot of things I'm confused all the time" I state in a monotone voice and watch as Damian tries his hardest to not laugh at me.

Rhea and Dom come downstairs just in time for Finn to call out that dinner is ready. I get put in my high chair and Dom asks to not use his as the hardwood would hurt. It takes me a second to understand but i get it. I sit happily in my high chair as Damian feeds me.

We finish dinner and Damian takes me upstairs to put me in bed. I overhear Rhea talking to Dom about giving me a night alone in my crib as I had just found out before I am put in my crib. Damian not knowing about the bouncing thing kisses me good night and leaves me in my crib.

For quite a while I am awake in my crib listening to the 3 voices downstairs. Rhea, Finn, and Damian clean up after dinner while Dom sleeps in their room. Their voices are comforting but are barely enough to make me slightly tired.

The noise begins to slowly die out and I hear them one by one go up the stairs and to bed. I lay quietly in my crib. The noise of my daddies and mommy downstairs is now gone along with the comfort. It's the first time I've slept alone here and I can't help but feel lonely and out of place.

I want to go and get someone but I don't know how to get out and they might be mad if I tried. Especially if I hurt myself. I stay lying still. I hold my teddy bear tight and pretend I'm not alone. I hear the floorboards creak but it doesn't sound like the ones on the stairs. It sounds much closer. I feel the eyes of someone staring at me.

It doesn't feel comforting but I know it's one of my daddies. I can smell his cologne though I've never smelt this one before. Despite how odd everything feels I roll onto my side my eyes still shut and fall asleep knowing I'm not alone.

If I'd known who was standing over me I'm sure there would have been no hesitation to call for help.

Chapter 12

When I wake I am nowhere near where I want to be. I try to peel myself off of the concrete floor but I can't. The ropes around my wrists are tight. I look around and see no one. I want to scream but I know it will not be my mommy or daddies that will show.

I have been stolen from my bed. Unless there is another room in our basement I haven't seen and they're having fun? No. They wouldn't leave. They'd wait for me to wake up and they aren't here.

This isn't my home I have been stolen. If I ever want to get home I better find a way out. It might still be night. I might have had a full night's sleep and it's morning. My mommy and daddies might be getting breakfast ready and not know I am gone. They might've checked on me during the night and found me gone.

They might think I ran.

They might be searching right now. They might just find a new girl. Whatever they are doing doesn't matter. They might be close to finding me already. They might never find me.

I have to stop thinking about them and crying. I must get out. The rope on my right wrist feels weaker than the left. It's only a slight difference but it's there. I begin to wiggle my right arm and try to free it. The knots are still tight and it burns.

I can feel my skin peeling from the roughness of the rope. I have to ignore it. I'm getting closer. The knots are loosening and the pain is worsening. Finally, after a hard struggle, I have freed myself. Well, one arm.

I slip the loose rope off of my arm and reach over to my other arm. I begin to tug at the rope. I struggle with the tight knots for minutes on end. I have made no progress and I have never been more frustrated. My concentration begins to slip.

I'm not getting out. No one has come. Whether I am speaking of my kidnappers or my loves it does not matter. My kidnappers may leave me to starve. Even if my loves were looking for me they may never find me.

I lay still and let my tears fall. Again, I've been kidnapped and I pray to god I do not fall for my kidnappers this time. I hear footsteps approaching. My heart starts to pound. More tears fall and I stop myself from sobbing. Don't make them mad.

I don't want to die. Maybe it will be quick. Clearly, these kidnappers didn't stalk me. They would have been too horrified to take me away if they found out I had only been taken from my true life a few weeks ago. Maybe it has been months. I'm not sure but, I'll think of anything other than whoever is headed my way.

I hear the door knob twist and I close my eyes. I don't want to see what kills me. I will die happily if I don't know how beforehand. If they have a knife I don't want to see it. If they have a gun I don't want to see it. I don't want to see them.

The door creaks and a sob wracks through my body. Footsteps walk towards me. Instead of a gun to my head, a knife to my neck, or hands around my throat I get something unexpected.

A hug. This isn't the hug of my loves though. I know how they feel and how they hug. This isn't it. Whoever's hugging me begins to hush me. That's not them. I'm sure now. Though I let them hug me. I say the most insulting things in my head.

I refuse to find comfort in this person. I sob harder and he doesn't let go. They shush me more. I want to cry more to disobey them. I hear a man's voice tell me it's alright. I almost don't recognize it. He sounds mad. Not angry mad. Crazy mad.

I want to ask if it's him. I try to speak and the words get caught in my throat. I have to stop crying. I open my eyes by accident and see he's wearing a mask. I have to stop crying or I may never know. I take the deepest breaths I can between sobs. My sobs begin to quiet down. I breathe shakily. Tears continue to blur my vision.

The tears on my face begin to dry. No more fall. I give myself a small pep talk in my head before speaking.

Chapter 13

"yes?" He replies. Oh God. Why did he wait till I was happy to want me again? I begin to try and push him off.  I push him onto the floor next to me but he's quick to sit up and stop me from getting free. He's grabbing at my wrists and I'm pulling away. "I'm trying to help you!" He yells trying to reason. "With what? I was happy!" I scream back at him.

"You might not understand now but you will soon" he say trying to pin me down. "Fuck you!" I yell continuing to try and fight him but I continue to fail. He begins to shush me and it does nothing. I manage to get my wrist free and land a punch to his chest but it's weak. I'm weak. I'm not going to win this fight. "Little bitch" he says delivering a punch to my chest to give me a taste of my own medicine. The wind is knocked out of me and stop trying to fight him as I lay on my back fighting for air.

"Don't ever fucking hit me again" he says sternly looking at me with wild eyes. I'm still trying to breathe so all I do is nod my head. We sit in silence as I catch my breath. He continues to stare at me barely blinking the whole time. Once I'm able to take deep breaths again I begin talking again. "Your a stupid motherfucker" I start and he laughs at me. "I was the happiest I had ever been. If you cared about anyone but yourself you would of left me there"

"I love you y/n" he says. "No you don't you-" "I have always l-" "shut the fuck up!" I scream at him effortlessly shutting him up. "Let me go dumb bitch!" I continue to scream my voice cracking. He staring at me blanking. I think he's finally starting to realize that what ever delusional story he made in his head will never be true.

I want to continue screaming at him but before I can I'm punched in the face knocking me out cold.

The sand underneath my feet is wet. I look to my right and the waves of the ocean are crashing back towards me. The crystal clear water splashes against my feet before retreating back. I begin to walk along this seemingly never ending beach. It's warm and the sun is shining directly above me. There's no clouds in the sky. I look down at the ground and notice a shell on the ground. I bend down and pick it up. I hold it up between by thumb and my finger to look at it.

The shell it covered in sand so I stop walking for a second to wash it off. The waves crash against my hand and I almost drop the shell. I hold it up again and get a better look at it. It's the shape of a rounded triangle and almost flat. The front of it is an off white color with darker lines on it. The back is purple at the top and mostly at the middle but it fades into pink near the end of the middle section before turning an off white again except for a pink patch at the bottom left corner.

I bring my arm down and begins admiring the sea. My finger tips glide over the smooth back of the shell absentmindedly. Then I notice something a short distance a head of me. It looks like a bridge to no where. (Google Adelaide jetty if you don't know what I'm talking about). I pick up the pace of my steps in order to get there quicker. There's a small sand slope leading up to it. I climb up the sand under my feet no longer hard and wet but soft and hot. It's much harder to walk on.

My left foot makes contact with the grey looking wood first. As my right foot makes contact with the wood I drop the shell. I look to the ground in hopes of finding it again but it's no where to be seen. I decide to continue walking instead of looking for it. I walk down the middle of it for a few seconds before vering off to the left to look at the water. My hand glides along the grey wooden railing. I stare at the water. I notice that I'm getting close to the end. The bridge abruptly stops and there's no railings covering the end. I continue walking at the same pace as I have no desire to be at the end any quicker.

Eventually I slow down as I near the end. I hold onto the side railing as I look over the edge the water more beautiful then ever. I grip the railing tight as I dangle my foot over the edge not sure if I want to jump in. My foot returns to the wood and I shake my head back up a step. I turn around to go back to the beach but I am met with a figure I don't recognize. I don't have time to question them as the place their hands on my shoulders and push me backwards into the ocean.

To my horror when I hit the water I begin to burn all over. Not the kind of burning you get when you belly flop onto water the kink you imagine when you think of being submerged in acid. My eye close or I think they do either way everything is black. Then the burning from my body moves to just my chest and throat.

I wake up fully from my nightmare in someones arms. I coughing up copious amounts of salt water onto the wooden floor underneath me. "Are you okay sweetie?" I hear Rhea say above me. I continue to cough and  desperately try to catch my breath. Once the waters out of me I take a deep breath in and roll onto my back laying in Rheas lap. "I'm okay mommy" I say my eyes adjusting to the darkness of the night to look at her.

My hand reaches up to the side of my head a sharp pain shoot through it. When I pull my hand away I see blood. "Don't panic it's a small cut head wounds just bleed a lot" Rhea says. I hear yelling coming from the beach. When I sit up to look I can faintly see Damian and Finn standing over what looks like Edge and Dom standing off to the side.

Chapter 14

The kidnapping situation from Rheas pov

We've been trying to stay as calm as possible but that's very difficult. We've been asking every one we know if they know where edge lives. Who the else would take her from us. He got booted from the judgement day for good reasons. We're don't have any boss and he knows damn well what we thought of him sneaking his way into her life and getting to with her whilst never making a plan to take her yet promising we'd have our turn soon.

We never thought he would take her from us. "Rhea, Dom, Damian!" Finn yells from down stairs. I immediately rush away from y/ns crib and sprint downstairs. I bump into Dom on my way almost knocking him over. "What?!" We all ask. "I know where he lives hurry!" Finn yells heading towards to the door. We all follow.

When we get there the place is a wreck. Door wide open, car gone, garage open. Finn and Dom check the house while me and Damian split up and use our enhanced speed to search the area. He lives a couple blocks away from the beach and I end up going there on my search. I can see a man in the distance dragging a girl along the beach. I can't see them clearly but I do what we all agreed on and head back to the house to get Finn and Dom. I go as fast as I can.

Sprint up the steps to edges front door resisting the urge to scream that I found them but I know that will raise suspicion. I go through the front door and start yelling. "Guys! Guys!" I yell until I hear them call back in response "Yeah?!". They rush over to me and once their in ear shot and I don't need to yell I tell them. "I saw a guy dragging a girl by her hair at the beach I couldn't get a good look at them but it's a safe bet" I say. "I'll find Damian" Dom says before running off in the direction Damian went in.

Me and Finn race to the beach. When we get there we see the one of the people. We're a fair distance away from the jetty but I can see the man standing next to one of the posts underneath the jetty holding something under the water. Me and Finn run towards them as fast as we can on the sand. I see Damian and Dom appear on the other side of the beach somewhat close to the jetty though we are closer at this point. Their looking around and clearly can't see us or them.

"Damian! Dom! Here!" I scream at the top of my lungs and they both start heading our way. But I also got the mans attention. The man takes whatever he's holding out of the water and I can see clearly it's Y/N he smashes her head into the side of the post before leaving her face down. My worries double I take notice of the fact she didn't make any noise when she came out of the water. The man turns around and I can see that it's Edge. He begins heading out of the water. He barely gets out before Finn tackles him.

"Help Y/N" Finn says I assume he's directing the command at me and I head into the water. "Bitch deserves to die!" Edge yells followed by the sound of punches landing. I swim to Y/n she's still warm when I grab her but her chest is still. I grab her with one arm and climb up the nearest post half way. Easy for me hard for a human. I slide her under the railing before climbing the rest of the way. I jump the railing and lay Y/N flat on her back. I put my ear to her chest and hear nothing.

I open my left hand finger opened and  put my fingers through the gaps holding onto my other hand. I place them on her chest and begin giving her CPR. It feels like hours of me sitting here trying to get her to breath before she does. She starts coughing and gasping. She's spitting water everywhere. I roll her onto her side so she doesn't choke on her own vomit.

Are you okay sweetie?" I ask her. She continue to cough and desperately try to catch her breath. Once the waters out of her she takes a deep breath in and roll onto her back laying in my lap. "I'm okay mommy" she say looking up at me.

Her hand reaches up to the side of her head. When she pulls her hand away we both see blood. "Don't panic it's a small cut head wounds just bleed a lot" I say to calm her through I know that head injury is something to worry about. We hear yelling coming from the beach. She sits up to look I look over at the beach too I can faintly see Damian and Finn standing over what looks like Edge and Dom standing off to the side.

When do you think the rest of hs^2 will come out? Did you even like it? I did, and honestly don't know why some people don't.

I think some people don't like the epilogues because it undid the happy ending homestuck suposedly had, and the characters changed to much, therefore, they won't like hs^2 by default, being a continuation of it.

Surprisingly i liked Hs^2 more than the epilogue, it felt more like old homestuck in a way, while the epilogues were a completely new format and a very diferent story. I think what i actually liked of Hs^2 was the new kids. The old characters were irrecognizable at times, but this kids were the protagonists for the first time and it reminded me of the biginings of the story, and when the alpha kids are introduced, taking you back to the begining again, with all the introductions too.
