During last night’s session, we had a real fun time. In the span of 10 days, we had to fight 5 different birchnutter trees, we discovered the Pig King, who happened to be setup RIGHT next to the Dragonfly’s territory, went absolutely wild, just absolutely feral in chat- between lots of puns and swearing-, and in general just had a ton of fun! Unfortunately, my connection cut out quite a few times and at the end it got bad enough that it was cutting out every couple of minutes. We fought through a fight with Deerclops, tricking him into battling the Dragonfly who quickly and easily kicked his ass for us. All in all, a very successful session!! We had quite the cast last night, featuring: @strawberrychocletysundae , @theartistwonders , @catfromthevoid , @werewolfscientist , @tealzone , @midgetcowboy , @scrambledbees , @wyknerboragurwineriegreya , @wewontstarve , and @j-alfred-prufrock !! They can feel their breath catching as they're lifted, set back down before they can even properly process that they're being held. If it weren't for the fear of the moment, they'd likely be a flustered mess, but for now they quickly hand over the axe and scramble further out of the way, watching their guard and the birchnutters. Damn it... that long on the throne had really hurt their reflexes.

"WATCH OUT FOR THE ROOTS!"

They'd already know. Of course they'd already know. Why did they feel the need to remind them?

The gladiator was looking for a fight. To their delight they could hear the distant sound of a hound pack. Equipped with a tentacle spike they head towards the danger. This would be fun. (RoboticRampage)

They had been feeling proud of themself. Even after however many years - centuries? - of being their old realm's monarch, they still had the hang of gathering materials here and remembered how to construct things. Just as they prepared to take a break to cook the food they'd managed to gather so far today, they heard that still-familiar, unforgettable sound-

Hounds.

"YOU'RE KIDDING."

They glare into the horizon, more irritated than afraid. Shaking their head,

"FIGURES."

Well, they'd better gather their things back up. Fortunate that they hadn't yet struck the flame, and could just pick the logs back up to run. Hopefully, though they knew it unlikely, hopefully they could just outrun (or perhaps hide?) the pack and make their fire somewhere else, not keen on the idea of fleeing by torchlight in the impending night.

There was no way they were prepared to face hounds so soon.
