Kind of a fascinating guy this bird grasshopper. If I was a designer for an armored beast in a movie, I would study this guy. The overlapping armored plates, those strong back legs, those boogely eyes, the mottled color that blends right in with those rocks . . . pretty invincible. Unless . . . he happens to be in the vicinity of a bird. Birds apparently love to eat these guys. This is the one & only of it’s kind that I have ever seen.
