Headcanon:
Kant was Style's first time.
Fadel goes out and assassinates 4769 people after he finds out. He can't kill Kant because Bison took him and ran away because he knew big bro was about to go crazy.
You see, they were all playing truth and dare and it was Style's turn and Bison asked him about his first time and eep- Style looked at Kant and grinned and Kant legit saw his life flashing before his eyes as Fadel slowly turned towards him. Cue Bison swinging his 6 foot boyfriend on his shoulder and running away.

Of Boats and Drama; The Turning Tides on Kant and Bison's Compatibility
obsessed with how when its during their make believe phase, when fadel says "I think I love you" to Style, Style doesn't say it back and instead just kisses him at the end of ep. 6 and during the kantbison parallel at the start of ep7 when Bison says "I love you" to Kant, Kant says "I love you" back but clearly there's baggage even if he's not lying outright.
But after the brothers kidnap their respective lovers its Style that fronts with the I love you that perplexes Fadel
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and its bison that wants to hear it
Tumblr media
but Kant jumps into the ocean instead (like you can see the beach front okay Bison is clearly devoid of killing intent here) instead of lying to him or say the same things he's been saying to dupe him.
I really think this is where the Kant and Bison compatibility is finally starting to show. Bison clearly loves his little fantasies and make belief of romance (just like style dear fucking god). I've joked before about how bison has given to his brother the lover he had envisioned for himself - the one who will plead his love, cajole and give in.
But that guy is wrong for him.
We've seen that slightly off dynamic between Kant and Bison for 6 whole episodes. And it's killed me that people kept trying to interpret them with the same rose tinted glasses that we do for Fadel and Style. Because the FadelStyle and KantBison relationship parallels aren't meant to highlight the similarities between the couples but rather the differences, that's where the information about these characters come from.
The audience knows something that Kant doesn't in the boat scene; which is that he has this in the bag already. I think this is the infamous island Bison inherited from his dad and he's brought him here to literally just talk. I know I mentioned this already but bison literally looks like he just untied the boat from shore and let it drift on its own while waiting for Kant to wake up.
Tumblr media
Like that has got to be the minimum legal distance that a boat needs to be from shore to be considered unmoored lol. This is 'I am using your vulnerabilities against you because love is pain' shore distance not 'dead body dumping' shore distance. The body will wash up on shore before the boat even makes it back.
But for Bison, Fadel's reasonable precautions while we talk approach was not enough. He needed the ropes, the guns, the added ocean trauma because the guns didn't feel enough to instill fear, the pretty necklace he put on just so he could rip it off his throat, everything is already high drama high fantasy for him. Bison set the stage for desperate begging and tearful confessions, things he already got at the hospital btw but that wasn't enough either.
Because.
Bison doesn't need to be sold on fantasies. He had that and it sucked for everyone involved, what he needs when he's totally out of control like this is this guy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[screenshots of Kant telling bison he wants to talk on land and he's scared of the ocean]
For six whole episodes I saw Kant be wrong for Bison and not be able to pinpoint exactly why people cawing over how cute KantBison are bothered me so much. Until, of course, Kant finally does something right and all of a sudden it just all clicks together. Bison is boisterous, headstrong and because of his unique skillset also irresponsibly dangerous. The BDSM scene also shows that despite his best intentions, Bison can and will abuse power if given to him irresponsibly.
He doesn't need the Kant that plays along with everything he does. He needs the Kant that Kant is to everyone but him. The person that Kant is when they're together is barely even Kant. He needs the calm, level headed but fiercely devoted older brother, he needs the guy that helps a hookup out because that's his duty as a human being, he needs the guy that stole cars to keep his family fed. And I'll be really honest, that's the guy that Bison loves anyway, the one he hears about from Babe and Style and James.
What Bison needs is the quiet devotion of Kant choosing his own personal hell over playing this game and furthering any deception between them even though technically it wouldn't even be a lie (Bison is literally poised to believe him); the dogged resolve that once he's decided to do this on his own terms, it happens on his own terms.

i need you guys to walk with me. dip your toes in the unconventional…
bison = alpha
fadel = omega
kant = beta
style = alpha
people tend to mistake bison for the omega between the brothers, and they use that to their advantage. bison, who’ll often defer to his older brother BUT still maintains some autonomy and exudes self-confidence. he does what he wants (like, kant). fadel has always taken care of his brother, adopts a more nurturing role with him. he does NOT trust other alphas.

And the way Style keeps trying to coax Fadel away from his current life without giving himself away? Why don't you find a new job that lets you love? You don't have to live someone else's life. And so on. The way he tells Kant he's getting kinda attached to Fadel (at least in the subs), but when he's talking to Fadel like this, you know it's more. Because he's trying to steer Fadel to a life where they can be together. No obstacles. No danger.
But he can't say 'please stop killing people because I'm worried about you and I want to be with you' and he can't warn Fadel about the police because, as open as he's being emotionally, now, he's still scared and conflicted
And then, when Fadel tries to reassure him, because he's working toward a life free of danger where they can be together, it doesn't help because Style still knows what Fadel doesn't (again), and I love that play between the one who knows being the one who feels off-kilter, and the one in the dark—though he thinks he isn't—being the one who feels like he's on solid ground
And then it's flipped again at the end! He's so happy to finally see Fadel again, and I don't think he thinks they're home free or anything, but he is happy and he looks relieved. But then Fadel is told Style and Kant are the snitches and now he's one step ahead. He's the one who knows the thing keeping them apart. And it reminds me of that tit for tat they had in their early encounters, where they were always one-upping each other, but now the stakes are higher and the angst is angsting and it's so gooooooood and ugh!!!!
Anyway, this is a mess, and I'm honestly not sure where I intended to go with it, but I'm just really enjoying the writing and the acting and everything in this show

The thing about picking a daemon for Kant is that it's tempting to pick a dog, but I wrote "prey animal rage" under one of the first gifset of him I reblogged, and I stand by it. But as rob said he's the kind of prey animal big enough to be confident that he can handle a lot. And that's where daemon AUs often hit a wall, because while it would be fun to have Kant's daemon be a bison, they're so big that they make interracting with the world really complicated. So I'm stuck trying to think of something big, but not too big. Fairly dangerous, but not too dangerous. And reasonably sexy. I'm stumped.
i like the idea of a giant otter but they have virtually no predator once adult :/

Scenario
Thk gang’s takes on women as a concept
Fadel: respects women and won't hesitate to help them if they need it. Won't stop him from shooting them if required and treats them indifferently during missions.
Bison: he does not actively think about them and for the most part he regards them on the same level as men during missions. Outside missions, he drinks his respect women juice everyday and won't hesitate to shoot someone about it.
Style: big supporter of the fact that women should do whatever they want and while not attracted, has an aesthetic appreciation for them. Has definitely been hit on by women who mistakenly think he is a lesbian; he takes it all in good stride and has the numbers of his most loyal customers saved along with their car type. They all go out for drinks occasionally. The aunties love him.
Kant: is not attracted to women but will do anything for the mission. Has a big appreciation and respect for single mothers and he is mothered by Babe's friend's mothers and the market aunties who tell him to eat well and settle down. He is on a forum for single mothers where they exchange parenting and financial tips and everyone in the forum thinks he is a teen parent whose baby daddy went to jail for 5 years after appearing in his life suddenly without contact for years. He has not corrected them yet; and every so often out of nowhere Bison gets chills down his spine.

the scene on the boat honestly feels to me like kant's actions are just the culmination of a spiral that's been going on for a while now.
he’s being pulled in different directions that are fundamentally incompatible. protecting babe is the single drive that the entire show has been built around; none of the rest of the events in the show after the first part of the first episode happen without it.
Tumblr media
at the same time kant genuinely has fallen in love with bison at this point. and there’s nothing he can do about it! he can't work for captain christ and protect bison but he has to be at his every beck and call to protect babe. by the time he admits to himself that he cares about bison too much to betray him he's already betrayed him too much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think he's known the whole time, on some level, that he’ll never be truly free of the captain. but he’s already made the choice. and even if he were honest with bison now what good would it do?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and yet he tells style he's going to stop working for the captain anyway. he even cites babe as one of the reasons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this, honestly, makes no sense. nothing about the fundamental dynamics between him and his brother and the captain has changed. christ explicitly threatened babe in the first episode and — the way i read it — he hasn't stopped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don’t think kant is thinking clearly through the situation and deciding that the captain will never let him go so he might as well save the man he loves. i think he’s just desperately flailing at anything anything that would let him out. fox in a trap chewing off his own leg!
Tumblr media
and so then the scene on the boat where he just. stops. i think there are multiple things going on simultaneously there — obviously kant is terrified and bison is a loose cannon — but it isn't his only option. bison is expecting to be cajoled and groveled to and what he gets is kant jumping wrists tied into the water. you can threaten me all you want, but i quit.....

just not home
“Say it.” Bison’s voice is a command. Kant’s eyebrows furrow. “Say it’s not your fault.” Kant’s eyes go a bit wide. “I…” Or. Kant goes to see Bison in prison.

THK Hallmark AU where Fadel and Bison are assigned by Lilly to go to the small town of SmallTownville where they are assigned to assassinate a small business owner because they hve been using their business as a front for money embezzlement which is negatively affecting te community.
Problem is they were never told the name of the business or the owner's name in the files
Fadel: how are we going to do this if we don't know the name? Why didn't Keen give the name??
Bison: it's a small town. How hard could it be to find a small business owner?
They go to the town and find out that every store/shop/service comes under 'small business'.
Fadel: you're right. It was not hard to find a small business.
Bison looking around: they don't even have a McDonald's? Also who names a burger place Heart Burger? Either they're selling feelings or it is a front for cannibalistic activities. Actually I think this is our mark.
Fadel: don't jump into conclusions.
Fadel does not think how he was going to name his dream burger diner as Heart Burger. No he does not.
The story goes with Fadel and Bison meeting Style and Kant. Kant runs a tattoo parlor and while Style officialy works as a mechanic in his dad's auto repair shop, he also does everything else. From part timing at every shop, to officiating marriages, Fadel cannot escape him. He even works as a batista! And runs the meat shop in the evenings!
Fadel thinks that someone working in every business would be able to embezzle money that way. And if he is working in his dad's garage that definitely counts as nepotism. And family businesses are full of money embezzlement.
Fadel: and that is why I'm going to investigate this guy
Bison: doesn't every business count as the family business over here?
Fasel: but this guy is very suspicious
Bison: are you sure it's not just because you're attracted to him?
Fadel: shut up. I'm not attracted to Style or his waist!
Bison: what
Fadel: what
Bison finds himself falling for Kant and wants to get married to him and support him in everyway. But first he has to investigate him before he completely falls for him, he does not want to kill his future fiance, it puts a damper on the whole 'happily ever after' part
Fadel: You cannot marry a man you just met
Bison: but Fadel im goingnto investigate him first! He is also sweet and kind, and takes care of his brother and he kills people too!
Fadel: what
Bison: I heard him on the phone with a client. He was talking about 'finishing him up'
Fadel: He is a tattooist
Bison: his baby brother is going to college
Fadel: ok he might be suspicious. College education is very expensive and he does not look like he gets customers anyway
Bison: Fadel!
At some point the couples get together, and Fadel and Bison reveal their identies. Kant and Style help them realize that Lilly set them up. Fadel and Bison go back to kill her, fake their own deaths and live in SmallTownville with their husbands rapidly ever after.
How many jobs does Style actually have? Is Kant a killer? What will be the theme of the KantBison wedding? Will Fadel ever tell Bison how he wanted to name his diner Heart Burger? What will Babe major in college?
All this and more will be answered if I ever write this

saw this post from @heretherebedork and it just got me thinking about Bison and Fadel. i'm not sure if this is anything but i think the difference in the reactions to the betrayal says so much about Fadel and Bison and their characters.
Fadel has been disappointed before, felt the loss and grief from when a partner betrays you or leaves you. he doesn't expect good things, he expects to be hurt and disappointed. so he isn't angry he is heartbroken but he figured this would happen. i think Fadel thinks this is what he deserves (not sure why yet though but I'm sure it all comes back to the ex for Fadel and the way his "mother" only treats him as a dog on a leash)
whereas Bison has been protected by Fadel throughout their life. He's maintained a sense of naivete and trust despite what they do for a living and despite the loss of his parents. So he trusted everything that Kant said and did. He assumed that someone he loved wouldn't hurt him. So he is angry, he is wrathful and (as we've seen through the karaoke flashback and this failed job where he risks everything to save Babe) impulsive.
where Bison is angry and impulsive and ready to strike, Fadel is calculated. While I do think his confession to Style was 100% true, I think Fadel said it in that moment to keep Style close so he can watch him, study him, and understand how to proceed. I'm super curious about anyone else thoughts on this and the show so please interact with this post to high heaven or send me asks.
anyways this episode hurt so bad. can't wait for more. yay.

I want to share my interpretation of FadelStyle's sex scenes in the storage room, but before I get to the actual scene I need to establish FadelStyle's relationship arc so far. I won't go into detail about their attitude towards each other in episode 1 and 2 because @airenyah did such a great job of explaining Style's journey in this post and I wholeheartedly agree with everything she said.
To summarize, by the end of episode 2 Style is starting to sense something is off about Fadel and he is starting to want to connect to him, whereas Style manages to make past Fadel's defenses and enter his mind, albeit as a sexual fantasy. At this point neither of the two actively dislike each other as they used to before. Fadel still finds Style very annoying, but he is already starting to get used to it. Style still thinks Fadel is grumpy and rude, but he is intrigued by what lays under Fadel's mask. They don't really like each other, but they don't exactly hate each other either.
This dynamics continue in episode 3. As they meet each other more and more, Fadel softens up to Style as sees more of him. It's hard for Fadel to completely ignore the genuine care, concern and sincerity Style throws at him again and again. Style also starts to become even more intrigued by Fadel as he realizes just how deep the man is hiding himself. Not to mention the physical attraction between the two that very much exists and makes its presence known in the form of sexual fantasies.
When they actually hook up for the first time, there is only physical attraction that is driving their actions. As I mentioned before, they don't dislike each other, but they don't really like each other either. There is an emotional disconnect between the two. And I believe this is the reason this experience was not very fulfilling for either of them. Both of them seem to be the type to believe in having proper relationships instead of casual hookups, so sex without any sort of meaningful connection might be pleasant because of the physical attraction, but it's far from being able to make either of them feel content.
Comparing FadelStyle's first time to KantBison's first time makes this more evident. KantBison didn't even know each other's names when they jumped into bed together. But that didn't stop them from having a great time. They have no problems in finding sexual satisfaction without any emotional attachment. FadelStyle on the other hand seem to be unable to do that. It's a matter of preference, neither is right or wrong. The lighting choices in the two scenes also reflect the mood of the couples. For KantBison, it's a bright red-glaring, intense and passionate. The lighting is not warm, it's burning hot actually. Whereas for FadelStyle, the lighting is a cold blue, with no hint of warmth to be found.
In Fadel's fantasy, Fadel thinks about Style's interest in himself (his name and his tattoo). In Style's fantasy, Style imagines Fadel serving him with direct eye contact maintained at all times. Both of these fantasies further indicate to me that both of them crave a deeper connection with the other. And it's only when they find that connection that they can truly find sexual contentment.
I don't think Fadel meant to be that tender and worshipful with Style. I think he just couldn't help himself. Now that Style has had a taste of what it could feel like being with Fadel, he is not going to give up trying to make Fadel his. And Fadel has no way to defend against that kind of Style.
