As Buddy follows along while being led to his table, he can't decide whether he's the more or less fortunate one as he notices that the one he's being led to had two empty chairs. He had arrived first, and now he had an unknown stretch of time to ponder whether or not this had been a ridiculous choice for how to spend a Friday night.

In true Aurora Bay fashion, he had to pretend he hadn't caught a glimpse of both his ex-girlfriend and his ex-boyfriend in the same room seemingly for the same purpose, determined not to let that specific kind of dampener sour his night.

( He's certain he had also spotted his older sister there as well, which was it's own kind of horrendous. )

He thanks the waiter for showing him to his seat before he orders a water to start, figure he would switch to something harder if time started to inch towards am-I-being-stood-up o'clock.

It's been 10 years passed since Disney Channel TV movie called "Lemonade Mouth" came out on April-15-2011 and let me tell ya: it was a pretty dang AWESOME movie I've ever watched and these songs in that movie were totally AWESOME and also reminds me of High School Musical. Anyways, it's the story about the five high-school students (Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko, Naomi Scott and Blake Michael) form a music group and prepare to compete against a popular rock band.

"Nobody wants their cup to look like that, Blake. You can quote me on that."

He doubts she would be only one to if the stink eye he was getting from the very same blonde was anything to go by, a not-so-subtle reminder that he needed to lower his voice some if he was going to successfully talk smack without repercussion.

( He still stands by his cup slander. )

"Pottery king, woo-woo-woo." His woos sound more like barks that were accompanied by a fist bump that soon simmered down as he rubbed the pad of his thumb and index finger together, feeling the clay residue on both.

"I feel like I could make a whole matching set if I put my mind to it."

When Dallas’s creation spins continuously, Blake gasps, slapping her hand over her mouth and surely smattering clay across her face in the process. “No! Dallas!” But something triggers a need for it to stop, and he salvages the shape before it’s a bowl that becomes a plate. 

“Oh. That was a close one there, buddy. Like, way too close. You’d have to start over like I did.” 

With an emphasis on that, Blake presses her hands back into the ball-shaped clay as she tries to mold it into a starting shape. There is a gradual restart to her table spinning again. Very slowly, very carefully…

Blake looks at the cup Dallas points out, then instantly spins back around to smack him on his shoulder. “Be nice! What if she wanted to make her cup look like that?” She takes one more quick glance and mulls over Dallas’s words, and after a short stretch of silence, she leans back in toward.

“But yes, okay, you won this one.”

Mack: I think I'm a little too acquired a taste for bartending. Being a yapper gets me so far before I happen across someone who finds me annoying as fuck 😆 Mack: You think? I have thought about it. Blake: Oh but maybe bartending? You have the personality for it! Even if you drop drinks, it won't matter when you can make people feel at home. Blake: No!!! Doubtful. 💜 💜 💜  Blake: You're too talented to fire! That would be his loss, babes! You can always start your own tattoo shop, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. Blake: Yes! Once the mask had been separated from him, Mack straightened his upper body so he no longer looked like he was at risk of tackling someone to any observing eyes. He runs a hand through his hair, drawing in a breath at the same time like he had just re-surfaced from being underwater.

"Hah, I've been told this face is scarier than any Halloween mask I could slap over it." Mack rarely took that to heart, unkind words tending to roll off his back and be forgotten before they were even through being spoken.

He takes the mask back from her, tucking it under his arm as he cleared a space for them at the bar with a wiggle of his unsettling gloved fingers on approach, moving to occupy it before anyone else could usurp them.

"What do you want? I'm thinking of going full method and getting whatever Slenderman would drink. He seems like a vodka guy. Thing."

"Ooky Spooky," she reiterates, looking up at the mask unblinkingly. She is affirmative in the name chosen, and it doesn't matter the story behind the faceless man in a suit.

Her determined look only caves into one of subtle concern at the request of a task, and the lack of explanation following. Blake leans back, even starts a low squeal when Mack bends forward. As if a horror movie chase would ensue here, she shouldn't be so startled. Until—

"Oh. Okay! How…" Blake begins to question, feeling about the mask with both hands until she gets enough leverage to (hopefully) pull it off with little resistance. It feels comical how it pops off, revealing a mess of short blonde hair and thankfully, a human face. She almost sighs in relief as if the prospect of a monster being under there was a very real possibility.

"There we go! See, I almost want to smack you. What are you doing covering up a handsome face like that?"
