on astrology

The cosmos surprisingly are not a big part of revolution – it’s not a sci-fi story, nor do astronomy or astrology play that big a role outside of Zara Stan, secondary character extraordinaire and enthusiast of both astrology and astronomy (at least the visuals behind astronomy). For helping with the intricacies of these characters I have decided to turn to the stars and make natal charts for these characters. Not actual ones, since I’m not bothering to do time and place of birth and all that, just assigning a big 6 to them – once you get to Jupiter and beyond the signs don’t really differ between people who are all the same age (as these characters are). That being said, this story is set in the future, and for thematic reasons I’ve set it to be 250-ish years forward (not decided a numerical year yet), so that each character for definite has the same Pluto sign (Aquarius). Don’t know about the rest, don’t think I care all that much, it’s all thematically decided. Without further ado, the natal charts:

Old Art Showcase - Nicolas "Blakey" Blake

I'm looking through my DeviantART Gallery and picking out some old pieces I still really like/capture the characters of my story and I guess using this as an opportunity to introduce these characters a bit better, since they are reference-less atm.

Deuteragonist here, Blakey was initially created as a partner for Erika...romantic, platonic, colleague, I don't remember. The point it, Blakey's always sort of been a character foil to Rix, and as I develop this story, I want to expand on that idea more. On his own, Blakey is, and has always been, an explosive force - emotional, enigmatic and always in some sort of trouble. He's loud and brash and loving, feelings motivating almost every move. Naturally, this gets him, and the friends he cares about, into a lot of trouble as the story progresses.
