Would Wesker ever end up falling asleep at his desk? And if so, how does the process of moving him to bed look?

he absolutely falls asleep at his desk/in his office/on the couch - if he sits in calm quiet for too long he's out like a light. he's notorious for falling asleep halfway through movie night constantly

poor guy can't help it, his entire life has been go go go, so when you force him to relax a little bit his body betrays him and he just - slumps

it's really cute how his eyes just slip shut. at his desk he usually falls asleep with his head in his hands and then just kind of falls on his arms - no grace whatsoever. you usually find him snoring softly or breathing through his mouth - he always wakes up with a little drool on his lip

you have to gently touch his shoulder or card your fingers through his hair - if you just say his name or grab him he'll jolt up in shock (you learned the hard way once when he was still wearing his holster, now you make him take it off at the front door)

he'll grumble and act like he wasn't just assed out despite his rumpled shirt and messy hair. however, he will obediently follow you to bed, stumbling behind you and yawning with sleepy eyes. he'll pass out again as soon as he hits the bed. this is how half your nights together go - it's very hard to get him to actually get ready for bed like a regular human being

I'm actually marveling at your portrayal of Palpatine. Sure, in the new sith obi-wan au, but in every iteration I've read from you, it doesn't even compare to anything else I've read, I just can see and hear Palpy so clearly when you write him. It's disgusting how i character he is every time. I need like ... a tutorial? :D Pls??

The tutorial consists of knowing how a groomer operates, essentially. Sure, you have the traits of psychopathy and sociopathy, the blatant narcissism, the delusions of being better than everyone, but if you want my two cents, (obviously you do when you sent this ask lol) the real core of his villainy is his grooming behavior. Sociopathy and psychopathy do not necessarily lead to evil, many diagnosed people lead fulfilling lives that do not cause them or others any destruction. Sociopathy and psychopathy are NOT inherently evil.

Grooming is evil by nature. And groomers absolutely follow a rulebook.

Step one: Targeting a vulnerable person. (Groomers have a radar for people who are in a vulnerable position - orphaned kids, traumatized people, homeless people, etc., could be anything.)

Step two: Gaining trust. (the victims of grooming call this 'kindness' - much like Anakin does on many occasions - when in reality, it's rehearsed empathy. It's a performance. They're nice to you, bring you gifts, take care of your most basic needs - food, shelter, companionship to make you feel like there's somebody in this world who actually gives a shit about you.

Step three: Isolating the target from their loved ones. If you are completely alone, that's a win for them, obviously. But because they more often than not target minors, there's someone taking care of them, at least one person who goes: this guy/gal has rancid vibes, I don't want you to hang out with them anymore. The groomer convinces the victim that their caretaker has nefarious motivations/goals (projecting much) and that if the victim calls the authority, they will be the one who's actually in trouble, not the groomer.

Step four: Slowly exposing the target to sexual stuff. This could be anything, really, it could start by just showing the victim porn without rhyme or reason to instructing them to perform some mild sexual acts. In Palpatine's case, this manifests as exposing the target to the power of the dark side and encouraging them to use it. However, do I think that Palpatine was entirely uninterested in Anakin in a sexual way? My feelings on this vary - sometimes I do see it and sometimes I don't. I see the constant unnecessary touching and constantly invading Anakin's personal space and I'm like: I need to perform exorcism on myself until I don't remember ever seeing this ever again. Then I see the intent behind and I think - hm, perhaps this is purely a slaver's touch asserting dominance over his property. Like I said, my feelings on this are unclear. Let's just say it's really fucking gross either way, which is something we can all agree on.

Step five: The actual sex. Again, in Palpatine's case, this manifests as revealing himself for who he is (abuser) and taking Anakin (the abused) down with him.

TLDR; you have to have the process of grooming at the forefront of your mind to write Palpatine well - even if in different aus his victim does not need to always be Anakin.

That last chapter I have never read something so heart retching but also so beautifully written. I was absolutely sobbing by the end but I'm so happy it's over. I officially hate Shepard and Graves more than I ever have. And pur omega. She's been threw so much I feel so so so so so bad for her. I'm happy they have finally got her, but the ending 😭 I can't believe he has to do that to her but I get it. I can't wait for her to wake up and finally get to be with her pack.

Mhm that was a rough one for everyone (the audience included) but now it's over. Now they get to deal with the aftermath and the healing that comes with it. My poor babies 😭

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

Obvious answer, perhaps, but I think both Blanky and McDonald are excellent candidates.

It's easy to forget sometimes that they were both able to communicate with Silna just as easily as Crozier and Goodsir were - better, even, in McDonald's case if memory serves me right.

They also both seem to actively give a shit about her happiness and welfare - always a good jumping-off point for a friendship. And I think they both see her very straightforwardly as the actual regular human being that she is - something I'm not sure that Crozier and Goodsir do quite so consistently, at least in the beginning.

And lastly, I just think they would vibe in terms of their interests. Blanky appreciates the ice and the landscape, and understands how to survive in it pretty well, at least for an old white man so there's very much common ground there. And, of course, we see that Silna has some knowledge of healing in the last episode when she cares for Crozier's injuries so I think she and McDonald might enjoy learning from each other.

Definitely a weird one but I think there's perhaps some interesting commonality there - they both care deeply for their own people and try to do what's necessary to protect them, they're both pretty pragmatic and practical in matters of survival in general, and they're both quick to anger and call out bullshit when they see it.

I dunno, I think maybe I just remembered the incredibly fleeting glance they share as Tozer's creeping up on poor Morfin in E07 and extrapolated wildly? Nevertheless, I stand by it!

I'll just do my two main boys for this

Declan-- His gun, mainly. It's an heirloom, he's had it forever literally forever, he can pretty much keep himself alive no matter what the circumstances with it are, and it was given to him by his favorite uncle, Tío Vito.

As for the people, I'd say mainly his Tío Vito, who's his strongest supporter, and his mom, because. Well, she's his mom. She's not very happy with his job prospects like his uncle is though lol

Stan-- His cane and his cape cowl. Both items he got from his parents, both heirlooms, both help him focus his power, etc. Plus, the cane helps him walk and its his main weapon (bc knife cane). They're both just very special to him.

And for people, definitely Marcus and Chloe, no question. Marcus because he chose Stan, chose the life he's living with them, and continues to choose it regardless. And Chloe because she's literally his only family left. Just knowing she's safe and alive is a great comfort to him
