saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my art, my lore talk, is biased. I’ve never tried to hide that I view Marika a certain way and will always develop my theory following that base assumption.

Aside from translation stuffs and pointing out in-game items, everything else I say you can look at it, agree or disagree, and move on to form your own opinions. Just because I draw stuffs doesn’t mean you get to saddle me with responsibilities about managing fandom expectations. What the hell? I’m a fan artist, I’m the last person who you should look at for “leaderism” (?) WHAT?

I can and will be a hater in my own space, like I know sometimes other artists will just post their stuffs and not engage too heavily with fandom, and for a while I did try to do that here (because I’m already a dramatic ass on twitter), that’s just not me though.

You will get art and you will get my opinions as well.

i saw a post floating around about purity culture and didn't necessarily agree with some of the wording of it, but it got me thinking especially with the way things have been lately. if an author can write an antagonist or create a whole culture of how things are acceptable, why can't roleplayers? genuinely, it makes me wonder how double standard things can be here. a fave author writes something and an eye isn't bat. a roleplayer explores that world and people want to grab pitchforks and bully people into leaving. realistically, most roleplayers will discuss and ask if you're okay with writing canon aspects or would have read your guidelines to ensure they're not touching uncomfortable territory. it's actually kinda exhausting that other roleplayers will try and tell you that you can't write xyz or that you have to write certain things with care and i'm over here just ... but the author that you so adore the world of their creation that you choose to engage and be a part said creation didn't handle anything with care. but anywho, just a reminder that you can just block what you don't wanna see without vagueing and harassing others. i promise you out of sight, out of mind works miracles.

(Parkour civ!) Evbo and Lloyd Garmadon live rent free IN TANDEM in my head and they won’t leave. I’ve literally planned out a 16 page comic of “what if Ninjago but Evbo is Lloyd” and it’s all I think about. Imagine Oni Trilogy except instead of losing hope Evbo keeps getting up and getting his ass handed to him. Like brother CANNOT be covert to literally save his life. Oh, and Seawatt is Harumi. Like, you can’t expect me to make Evbo fanart and not think about Lloyd Garmadon, why do they look like that. Why did I make them look the same. Well, not the same like at all but still. They’re literally so fundamentally different from each other but but but but

omg youve been to japan?! thats so cool its one of my dream destinations?! did you visit any super good places that left a deep impression?? (srry for being nosey i just enjoy when ppl tell travel stories)

yes i went last may!! we were there for a little over a week so our time was limited. we got to hit kyoto, osaka, and tokyo <3

the entire trip was unforgettable but most memorable places/experiences:

mt kurama! it’s GORGEOUS and not a super touristy temple, at least when we went. it was very peaceful, a good day out in nature. definitely felt some heavy spiritual energy there 🙂‍↕️

our hotel in osaka was right across from some event center?? and one of the days there was a gyoza festival happening with a bunch of booths serving gyoza and drinks. so my partner and i walked over there and hung out and got some bomb food and beer. it was full of people who seemed like locals just like picnicking and drinking and hanging out with their kids. it was just a spontaneous thing we did and those kinds of outings are always the most memorable to me.

okanu building gallery in ginza. it’s a historic apartment building that’s been repurposed to host artists! super cool and unique experience. it still has an old school elevator in it with like the gate you have to close (i did not get in it lol. too spooky). the artists were super friendly and one of them told us all about how the room she was hosted in was known to be haunted O.O we got to buy some cute little art pieces from local artists!

and this drag bar we found during a night out in shibuya called campy!bar <3 it was small and intimate, basically one round bar with 2 drag queens serving drinks. you sit at the bar and just hang out with the queens and sing karaoke, and one of them was filipino and spoke english (my partner is filipino, so they immediately hit it off because of that lol) and she was just sooooo fun and sweet. they love disney karaoke in japan apparently??? so they were singing that all night lol. i got very drunk 🙂 honestly that whole night out in shibuya was really memorable. we started the night with omakase sushi and this old man in traditional garb started talking us up at the bar (he told us he was a businessman who had lived in new york and cali, and he was interested in where we were from / how we were enjoying japan). he ordered us fancy sake and his favorite hand rolls, and waxed poetic about traditionalism lol

More notes for Roach conlanging. Roach has grammatical gender, in which only Male, Female, and Object are grammatical genders, whereas Worker uses feminine grammar, Queen and King use a slight variant on feminine grammar, and Drone, and Queen-Alate use masculine grammar. This is because King is derived from Queen, due to their similar positions in a colony, and Queen-Alate is derived from Drone, as both are forms of alate.

Queen is an alteration of feminine grammar that functionally just adds a handful of extra syllables to it, and King is an offsprout of Queen that uses the same grammar with different pronouns. Queen-Alate, despite the name, is derived from Drone, as they are both for referring to different types of alate ant.

Most Roach dialects are intelligible to speakers of Snakemouth Den Cordyceps Roach, but Snakemouth Den Cordyceps Roach is not entirely intelligable to speakers of Roach dialects due to a mix of the excessively specialized vocabulary caused by the specific needs of its speakers, the fact that its speakers do not necessarily have Roach mouthparts and thus may not pronounce syllables in a similar way, and due to the fact that Inanimate Object is a full grammatical gender that does not exist in any other dialect of roach and replaces a decent chunk of terminology for things that previously had Other Words For Them.

It's the evening before the US election, so. Hi.

I try to not focus too much on real-world events on here (because this is my fandom blog and a space away from the shit the world goes through daily), but I'm gonna break from that for a bit and cast my two cents:

If you live in the US and you're able to vote, please vote, and vote for Harris, and as blue as you can get. She's not perfect, of-fucking-course, but, realistically, it's her or Trump.

Voting third party, as nice a concept as it is, isn't going to do shit. Our electoral system isn't set up like that.

Abstaining isn't going to do shit. That's practically a vote for Trump, and, if he wins, we maybe/probably won't have another election. He wants a dictatorship. He wants fascism. He wants to get rid of/kill anyone he doesn't like-- which is a hell of a lot of us.

Harris has shown that she does care about us minority groups, and is willing to work to create a ceasefire/an end to the war in Gaza and on Palestinians. That's more than can be said about Trump.

(Yes, she's shown support for Israel. At this point, whatever. It may be performative to get people like that on her side. It may not be. Point is that she's still shown support for Palestine. Get it? Got it? Good.)

(This is not to say I'm not grumpy about it. This is to say that she's not perfect and we still have work to do. Voting Harris in instead of Trump will let us do that.)

The parties are not the same. It's normal fucking life versus fascism. It's a chance at a better country versus a dude who would kill people like me-- like a lot of us-- for not being straight, cis, or either, or anything less than showing total nationalism.

So suck it up and vote for Harris.
