Progress has been made! Terraforming the river is 95% done, the island is complete, floating crystal have been added, and now I have two working crop farms! The farms even have bees in them! They aren’t fully automatic, but they function and look great regardless. I built them first mostly out of necessity; I need more emerald blocks to begin larger projects. 

Sorry about the torch spam. Everything is still in the very early stages of getting decorated. 

The shader used for these shots was SEUS Renewed 1.0.0 (which is likely outdated, I haven’t looked at my shaders in a while lol)

Progress shots from the dynmap! I spent yesterday just adding details and lighting around my crop towers. I’ve done a lot of work on my villager trading hall as well, and it’s starting to look...interesting? Spawn is looking great too!

My basic mob farm is in place! I will be adding more layers, and an entire temple AROUND the structure to hide it. But for now it functions, and it functions well! Thanks to FazyCraft for the reminder tutorial (I used an Ethonian hopper clock with 24 items instead of the boat clock, because I am worried about things breaking in 1.16. As it is, server lag means there is little synchronization between layers, but it does actually function)! 

Additionally, I spider-proofed the walls after a quick search and tip from shadowstudios. 

All additional work mostly involved lighting up the immediate area and cave systems below my pyramid-base (this I definitely have more to do). This only suited me; I needed the iron/coal ore. If you are going to reproduce this build, I recommend more than 18 stacks of blocks for building as the layers are a little too lit during the day for mob spawning (make the roof bigger, or build a larger border around it as I plan to). If you add trap doors between layers as I did for access, make sure they are not adjacent to the water dispensers (or you’ll get an obnoxious trapdoor opening/closing noise spam).

Kelp Farm :)

Yesterday I decided that I needed a better fuel source! So I decided to build cubfan135’s automatic kelp farm! The kelp growing, breaking, and collection is finished however there is no smelting array yet. Perhaps later today! Despite being smaller, my version produces plenty of kelp for my needs.

Presenting the Green Serpent, a modified version of “Dragonboat”, mostly decorated and lit! This is my first major build on the new Blocks & Stuff 1.13.1 server. It’s important to be in ship shape for the new world! Screencaps taken with Optifine and Continuum Shader, using the default resource pack.

Server Features - April 8th

One of my favorite new (well, newer) features of the Blocks & Stuff Minecraft Server is our own currency, the Rupee! We have a currency drop exchange vendor, allowing  player to amass a fortune in specially labeled items. The lowest denomination is the humble Rupee, a common drop from all types of mobs on the server as well as widely available in treasure chests and server scavenger hunts. 

Prior to the release of the Shulker Box, trading in stacks of Rupees on the server was incredibly time consuming. Now, there is a new vendor in the main shops on the ground level in Heliosol City who lets you trade in Shulker Boxes of Rupees. Each full Shulker Box is worth 1728 Rupees, which means roughly 3 full boxes will earn you a Power Block (worth 5000 Rupees, and a common high-value trade item). 

Log onto Blocks & Stuff to start earning! There are so many fun and unique custom items to collect and display in our RP-Survival world of Le Monde!

I did some significant renovations to my item sorter! I decided the old version (stone brick and black nether brick) was too depressing, and I wanted to incorporate terracotta patterning in somehow. I spend most of my time in the sorter lobby or running around the hallways, so I figured it was worth the time. I still have some minor aesthetic work to do still, but overall I’m happy with the redesign.
