what the fuc k is a truther,,,, i know what a shipper is. and i recently realized they call non-shippers antis. but. i legitimately am so confused

a truther, at least in this context, is someone who is convinced that a real person is a member of the lgbt+ community and/or is hiding a secret relationship. a youtuber truther might also speculate that 1-2 real people are members of the lgbt community and that they are unknowingly in love with each other, or are hiding a romantic relationship from their fans. from what i've seen, there's usually an irl ship attached.

don't make any specific callouts for certain shippers/truthers, it just brings unneeded attention to those specific niches and has an overall negative effect. when i went through one truthing tag, i saw one of the blogs saying that all this attention from """mainstream""" mc//yt actually made the shippers/truthers gain followers. so just report, block, and scroll if you're gonna interact with them at all, please. at most make a post telling truthers to unfollow and block you.
