day 1
As a child I preferred to read and write while the other children watched me, an outsider, as my family moved twice after my father's death. Amidst the changes in my life throughout my schooling, I found myself in theater and writing in my teenage years. I graduated as an over-achiever and went to college to finally let loose, and in the first three weeks, found the man who I would later propose to. We're getting married in just over a year from now. I graduated and we moved to Philadelphia, in the midst of two personal crises that almost left us beat. I now teach for a public charter school, 7th grade math, and have secret dreams of becoming a florist. He works with plants in a lab, and makes dinner every night. I am grateful for his patience. I value many women in my life, family and chosen family. I am starting fresh here, and welcome those who read to share their story as well.

It's been a year since I shared my breast reduction story and I'm so proud that I did! I'm so thankful for all the support, love, and positivity that I've received from (and have been able to give back to) women across the globe dealing with the same issue. Special thanks to the man behind the lens and my dear friend Justin J (@visualconnoisseur_ ) for helping me capture this moment and illustrate my story. I wrote a 1 year update for women who are thinking about or have had a #breastreduction surgery. See post in link! #BlogEverydayInMay
