The start of a new school year always has my stomach in knots.
Will she have fun?
Is she going to be respectful?
Will people be nice to her?
What is she learning from the people within those walls?
Is she being challenged enough to actually learn something?
Will this be the year that she stops telling me every little thing?
Will someone spoil Santa for her this year?
Is she going to make new friends?
The list gets longer and longer. Most of it is silly honestly, but it doesn’t change that every time I watch her walk into those school doors they will be in my mind until I see her climb back into my car. I can never let it be known, though.
Last night she had a full on breakdown because she was worried about a new year. Of course I can’t tell her I’m worried for her. I remind her of her friends and how every year you can do and learn more. We talked about how every teacher does things differently, how schools rules change year to year (sometimes mid-year). I reminded her how strong, smart and wonderful she is.
I told her I KNEW this would be a great year, but it starts with today.
It starts with meeting your teacher and expressing what you want from her.
And she did.
And guess what!!
She wants to start tomorrow but we’re going to enjoy that one last day of summer vacation, and then I will let her go again and trust other people to teach her great things that not only come out of a book but out of life.
I know I gained so much from some of my teachers and I can only pray that she is just as lucky.

Father labour pain
”Labour Pain ” is an emotional experience and involves both physiological and psychological mechanisms. The pain of labour is severe but despite this, its memory diminishes with time. In the journey of motherhood, we all encompass this phase of labour pain. Actually, both mother and father go through labour pain. The only difference in Mother labour pain is visible & father labour pain is invisible. Its May sound like something wrong???? But it’s true!!! Father labour pain.
