So I am in the process of making a little project I'm calling the "Biotape Bestiary". Which will be an informative digital booklet of slides containing simple information and coloured drawings of all the Biotape monsters. That way people can see them coloured, and get minimal information on each creature if they didn't or are unable to listen to the pearl they originated from. The panels would also contain tidbit addendums as well; small pieces of lore that MOTH didn't explain because he either would've not cared to mention it, or I just wanted to add something funny. Stuff like how the Pulse Lizards only listened to MOTH because they thought since he had the biggest antenna; he was in charge. Or how Hellion and Symbiote are his only confirmed female slugcats. It'll all go in order of appearance, from Hellion to Otiopathys. Because bad news bears... the Celadon pearl had the last batch of fusions, what I'm going to be covering next is something that'll likely take me a very long time... and learning new skills again. So I'll be doing this in the meantime. <3

Ben Edlund in "The Great Escapist" compared Metatron holed up in a hotel casino (!!!) room, hiding from angels and reading stories aka "the true flower of free will" to Castiel changing locations but essentially always remaining in an eternal Biggerson's restaurant, also hiding from angels, drinking coffee and getting called out as the one who "came off the line with a crack in your chassis" and I'm supposed to feel normal about it.

What would you call the genre of 2010s-2020s TV shows which are:

stylistic, with cinematic transitions and colorful shots

kind of tonally YA adjacent but aimed at adults; snappy, irreverent, probably centering some amount of mystery or detective work

mildly goth/alternative aesthetic and tone

involve pursuit by some manner of Paranormal Agency with a 60s bureaucracy aesthetic, either time travel or something similar, and a range of superpowers

the/a villain is almost certainly a woman with piled up hair and a skirt suit who character design and affect wise is doing what Michelle Gomez did in Doctor Who. Separately, Michelle Gomez may or may not also be there.

have an ensemble cast of quirky, sarcastic and jaded characters, interacting with a rotating cast of similarly quirky side characters

often but not always a comic book adaptation; either way, involves a heightened reality which aims to be as 'comicsy' as possible while achieving emotional verisimilitude.

I'm reasonably certain this has to now count as a genre or at least a concrete aesthetic cause I can reel off so many of these. Off the top of my head; Dirk Gently, Doom Patrol, Umbrella Academy, Loki, and Dead Boy Detectives, just to start. I think weirdly tonally and aesthetically these shows owe a lot to Pushing Daisies.

Black Myth Wukong Journal Entries getting a physical release in China

China is releasing an officially published Black Myth: Wukong Journal Entries book, as announed on the publishers weibo (One of the co-founders of Game Science also commented on it)

It comes in two different versions:

comes with a satchel for the book and a bookmark

Redrawing my floor plan assignment and a thought occurred to me—

Eun-seok drawing a floor plan for his and Hee-jin's future home.

I also headcanon that he has a beach house where he often goes to when he needs a break from hunting and an escape from civilization. He can't always be certain with his powers around large crowds. He was the one who made the floor plan of the beach house and sent it to a construction company.
