time for kanade's turn in the torture maze 🙏🙏 her time was coming sooner or later

i saw some people on twt mention the empty frames representing kanade's lack of life experiences due to her guilt and isolation and the mirrors being used to represent possible self-reflection and likely kanade will finally have to face herself

but i'd like to mention the hallway

firstly, it may just be me seeing this but this hallway actually contains each of the unit members image colours. kanade is the walls. ena is the picture frames. mizuki is the floor. and mafuyu is the roof.

secondly, this hallway is LOOOONG but there is a light at the end, which actually is also niigo's unit image colour (the light is there, at 25:00). niigo is each others's light. niigo is kanade's light.... but it's oh so so far away.... despite moving towards it, albeit slowly, the light never seems to get closer

30 Days of Pride, day 6: Off this previous post featuring the above lighting test...

...For once it’s okay for a character’s hair to make him look like he’s been dragged backwards through a hedge. :) Context: they’ve both just been in a back-alley swordfight, she’s just saved his (outlawed) butt from some people who wanted to kill him for the reward money, and he’s now wondering whether this strange woman who suddenly turned up out of nowhere might only have saved him so as to score the reward money herself. She, meanwhile, is trying to figure out what kind of bizarre shit her tendency to feel sorry for underdogs has gotten her into now. We, of course, know that within eighteen months they’ll be married— not just to each other, but to his boyfriend, a fire elemental, and a Dragon. But to them, for the moment, everything looks a bit dubious… :)

If habeas corpus is suspended, the United States government can circumvent the law and detain any person including US citizens who they deem to be an illegal immigrant without them having to face a judge for due process.

Yall ever think that in the Watcher lore universe that the other former Evo members turned Life Series participants would be mad at Grian? Because like, Grian makes the games. The Watchers watch them, they encourage them, they enjoy them, but Grian MAKES them. He’s the one who got to decide if certain tasks counted as fufilled in Secret Life, he’s the one who knew every session what the Wild Cards would be and even got a power during the super power episode that showed that he knew how everyone else’s power worked because he makes the games. He specifically assigned certain powers to certain people, he ultimately has the most control. The other Evo members who know about the Watchers just have to sit back and let him feed them with their suffering and with the suffering of people who don’t even know the Watchers exist.

Normally I don’t really like the Watcher lore and don’t really engage with it but sometimes it can be fun.

Question for Americans who genuinely will not be voting or are choosing to vote third party, what do you think will happen to you if the Republicans win? You cannot realistically fight for others if you yourself are in a bad situation. Genuinely, what do you think will happen when protections for marginalized people are rolled back?

Do you think you will actually be able to protest anything, let alone stuff not happening on US soil like the war in Gaza? We already see heavily armed police at protests and it's just been getting worse. I'm struggling to find the logic in not voting for the only viable option that won't kill you. I'm aware it's maintaining a shitty status quo but that's better than the alternative, isn't it?
