Let me start with the absolutely surreal casting. A significant part of the cast is composed of well known Czech actors, most of which have never done a videogame at all. They provided their faces as well as the Czech VA and in some cases the English VA as well. And of these, a big chunk is tied to some shows or films that are very dear to my generations.
For example, Matouš Ruml as John of Lichtenstein had his breakout role in a popular sitcom Comeback, where he played a dumbass 16 year old teenager obsessed with metal, tits being cool. And yeah, he's been in other things, but still, most people see him and still think "Hey, that's Lexa!"

Staying with Comeback, another significant cast member from that show. Kristýna Leitchová, better known as Katherine, was in this sitcom too as Iva, Lexa's crush and one of the only two competent people in that show. This one is by far the most surreal casting for me, as I just couldn't shake the knowledge of Leitchová and her past works from the performance.

And last one in Comeback, Marek Vašut or Otto von Bergow, if you will. He was there as a guest star, playing... well, himself. But he's known from other projects, usually playng tough guys and such, so seeing him as a scheming politician was something new. He also dubbed Otto in English, which is why he has audible Czech accent (no hate, I am just really insecure about my accent so I tend to notice it)
Oh and he's been bald for as long as I can remember, so seeing him with hair is hella cursed.

Next on the menu, Petr Nárožný alias Peter of Pisek. To explain how strange this one is, you have to understand the tradition of making fairy tale movies in Czech republic. They are very popular and every year, at least one big fairy tale gets filmed. This has been going on for decades and Petr Nárožný starred in such one called S čerty nejsou žerty (No jokes with the devil), where played an absolutely iconic role of a corrupt military commander with some legendary lines that get referenced in KCD2 in numerous places. Which I will discuss later.

And we can stay with S čerty nejsou žerty, because Ondřej Vetchý, before he became king Sigismund (I kneel) was a lot of things... and one of them was a chert named Janek... or Horse... or Wolf... look it's really not that simple with these guys. Point is, here we can witness Peter of Pisek screaming at king Sigismund and kicking him to the ground.
Also we can witness one of the worst cases of twink death ever recorded.

(no subtitles, sorry, you're gonna have to imagine what's being said here, but basically it's the commander giving out a series of provocative orders to get an excuse to punish our poor chert)
Botschek of Kundstat has a relatively minor role in KCD2, but his actor Josef Dvořák is another famous face, mostly from old TV and iconic shows. Also this is the one cast member that I have personally met and shook his hand, just so I can brag a bit.

AND if you ever wanted an AU where Peter of Pisek and Botschek of Kundstat open up a pub together, well... you're in luck, cause it already exists! It's from a show called Hospoda (The Pub) where Peter is a barman and Botschek a cook.

The biggest shock for me personally was Miri Fajta, since that was the one actor I didn't know beforehand that he was going to be in the game. So when Fajta spoke with the voice of Zdeněk Godla (Who by the way is actually Roma), I was in bit of a shock. Guy is a relatively new actor, only been on screen for a couple years, but he's been in some high profile comedies, like Most (Most - it's a city name), which is, in short, about all sorts of pieces of shit trying to solve their issues together, with the main piece of shit trying to lie himself out of problems he lied himself into. Great stuff.

(I assure you the usage of this photo was completely necessary)
Final one, Jan Semine, who to us is instantly recognizable as Pavel Zedníček, the owner of the most famous mustache this side of Elbe river. Once again, a very well known actor, especially to my generation from old ass kids movies. Most well known of these, imho, is Chobotničky z druhého patra (Little octopi from second floor), where he plays a dad of kids who own a couple of tiny magical octopi made of clay. Truly high concept stuff.

The point I was trying to make is that huge budget games like KCD are still a rarity in Czech republic, so actually having actors' faces scanned and used in a game is absolutely unheard of and we're not used to it. Hell, we're barely used to hear their voices in games. That being said, all of these did amazing job and I thoroughly reccomend the Czech dub of the game with English subtitles.
Thinking about using my second playthrough of KCD2 to point out the many jokes and references that are understandable only to people familiar with Czech culture. Because there’s a lot.
But I am not sure if I want to expose you all to our absolutely garbage humor.
