THE CONCEPT OF FAMILY HAD ONLY RECENTLY become appealing to her, once she found it. Larissa herself being a rather interesting surprise by the development of their relationship and even more so after Damien was born. Talitha too was both unexpected and perplexing but not disappointing. Together, they had all become quite the interesting pairing. But to answer the question simply, ❝ yes. ❞ They truly did, as ironic as that may have seemed. Surely, some would argue that the Devil did not deserve such conventional bliss and yet, she had it anyway. As if she had granted a wish she didn't realize she ever wanted with loopholes she had no intention of pursuing.

lucifer, who do you want damien to turn out like, you or larissa?

BOTH WOMEN HELD STRONG CORE VALUES— each a bit different, in their own way. In truth, she would have been content should Damien turn out to be like Larissa or herself. Perhaps, even a bit of both. Larissa held a kind heart and a good soul where Lucifer was manipulating and conniving as part of her job. However, he had a destiny to fulfill, and the Devil's priorities remained always intact first and foremost. ❝ Me, of course. ❞

lucifer, pick: eternity back in heaven or life on earth, no powers, but you get to have larissa?

IT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN A DIFFICULT DECISION— to some degree, it wasn't. In fact, she had made up her mind a bit far too quickly. An eternity back in Heaven had no longer been appealing to her for the last several centuries, long before she ever met the shapeshifter. However, to sacrifice everything - her powers in particular - and become human, she hesitated. Lips slowly coming to part, though she doesn't immediately respond. There were a lot of things to consider but then again, this was hypothetical, wasn't it? Ideally, she would simply keep things the way they were ; remaining as the ruler of Hell while still having Larissa by her side. But if the offered choices were her given option at any real point, the answer was (somewhat) simple: ❝ Larissa. ❞

A FEIGNED LOOK OF SURPRISE exaggerated across structured features as she provided a slight gasp. Part of her questioned for a moment whether or not to pretend sobbing. ❝ Is that.. is that how it always works out? Oh, woe is me. What ever shall I do?! I didn't even realize. I always thought, once you bore someone's child they'd want you forever! ❞ Almost instantly does her demeanor shift back to a neutral form. Taking out a cigarette along with a lighter from her back pocket. ❝ Darling, let's make several things clear, shall we? I am not naive in knowing every little thought in each of their minds and I am not forcing Larissa to be with me for the sake of our son. She's with me because she wants to be, if she wasn't, I would know. ❞ She lights the cigarette then and takes a deep inhalation before exhaling a heavy puff of smoke. ❝ Damien on the other hand, has no choice. Even if he wanted to leave, he couldn't, but he doesn't. Should he ever, well, good luck to him with that. ❞

luci, luce, pick one to save: damien or larissa?

THE INITIAL ANSWER CAME TO HER EASILY, before she began to actually think. Hesitation prominent once the thought process continued. Even if she had saved Larissa initially, the woman would be furious with her and she knew too that if the options were reversed, Lucifer would have been an easy target in comparison to their son. Not easily — she knew that — but the decision would have been precise. ❝ Damien. ❞ Larissa was bound to her anyway and in truth, she'd never lose her. Damien however, was destined for great things as far as Hell was concerned. He was it's next ruler ; her successor. He deserved that opportunity.

lucifer, would you have another child if larissa wanted one? or do you regret the one you already had?

THERE WAS NO REGRETS IN GIVING BIRTH to her son. He was preordained, after all. Though normally he was meant to be delivered by a human source, Lucifer shifted that prophecy to her own accord. Larissa was a primary candidate and suited her needs perfectly in order to secure their son's capabilities. Should the woman want another well, that would have to be a discussion between the two of them. Though in reality, she would prefer not to go through that ordeal again. ❝ Of course, I don't regret Damien. Should Larissa want another child, then that is a conversation to be had between us when the time comes. ❞ However, she doubted very much that was even a thought in the other's mind, truly. Damien was a handful in himself for the both of them. Any attention given to another would surely send him over the edge. He seemed to prefer being an only child.

lucifer, what if larissa goes to heaven when she dies, rather than joining you in hell?

A LIGHT SCOFF ESCAPES HER, followed by a slight roll of the eyes. She can't help but muster up some amusement as she shakes her head with a smirk. ❝ Larissa's soul is already promised to me. She signed the contract; she's bound to me. Whether she likes it or not. ❞ There would be no Heaven for the shapeshifter, no gateway to eternal bliss as is stated in the Biblical sense. No Eden. Then again, there would be no eternal torment for her either. Far from it, in fact. Lucifer had a special plan already secured for Larissa when she died. Either way, the woman's soul would be joining Hell one way or the other, no matter what.

EYES ROLLED SOMEWHAT, AT THE QUESTION. Another misconception which has been drawn out by an incorrect narrative. Exaggerated, at best. A mixture of veracity, foreign folklore and inspired by several other religions that do not and did not pertain to authenticity. She hated many things, but stereotypical assumptions was very much high on that list. ❝ My relationship with God is far more complex than most realize. He may have Damned me, but there's far more to it than any Book could ever provide. As for Larissa, she's bound to me. Should she ever choose to not want it, that is of her own accord. But she would never fully be rid of me. ❞ They did share a spawn, after all. Among other things that she herself was certain couldn't be dismissed so easily.

luce, are you allowed to break contracts? since you technically did by coming back to larissa?

SHE COULD SEE HOW ONE MIGHT COME TO that conclusion. But in reality, she never did break Larissa's contract. Did she disobey her last wish by coming back? Perhaps and yet, there was a loophole after all — and she was an expert at finding loopholes. ❝ Listen here, Larissa's last wish was to be rid of me in that one moment. She asked not to see me for a while. She never said, ever again. So, I gave her a year and she certainly didn't seem all too mad about it. ❞ The woman was more upset that she hadn't come sooner to tell her about their son, which was understandable. But no contract or wish was ever broken. ❝ Also, let's not forget who you're speaking with. I can do whatever I want. ❞
