I’m not someone to complain about dubs cause I REALLY don’t care what people watch unless it’s a really inaccurate dub but there is something so infuriating about a dub that has a solid voice cast and direction but then you compare the sub and quality wise there on a similar level but then you see how they change lines, pause and go “what the fuck”

(I am talking about the casshern sins dub which- god damn it funanimation)

#meg text #casshern sins #I’m not rewatching btw bc sins is the last thing i need to rewatch when I first saw it this year lol #but I was watching bits of ep 9 just to hear how Lyuze is pronounced cause I never knew how to say her name #but I did both versions and pronunciation being different aside THEY UNNECESSARILY CHANGED LINES #like- it’s not as bad as the arma dub-I grew to find that dub funny but lord the inconsistencies-but it’s still ???#they change the smallest shit of Ringo saying queen to prince when it’s referring to a girl??#also they took out Ringo calling Lyuze Oni-san which makes me sad cause they EASILY could’ve kept it as her saying “sis”#they probably didn’t do it cause they didn’t want people tuning in to be confused but COME ON let Ringo see her as a older sister #I know this is definitely a case of they’re just picking and choosing lines to tweak and not “this can be translated multiple ways”#how? Cause it’s fucking funanimation💀#I need to watch the dub in full to know the verdict but yeah just watch it sub unless you can’t do subs #it’s a damn shame cause the voice cast is good I really like Lyuzes voice a lot but it’s not worth odd script changes
