S'uni likes play-pouncing on her friends. She'll sneak up on you, do wigglebutt.exe and the BOING, she's above your head, her hands are pushing on your shoulders and you're both going down. Sometimes it turns into a cuddle, sometimes whoever she was stalking catches her (both figuratively and literally) and sometimes she misses. But she thinks its fun, and although she'll stop pouncing on you personally of you request it, she's also not about to give up her favourite game.
Headcannons on how the pounce game goes with each of the scions below the cut!
She likes playing her pounce game with Thancred, since he presents a real challenge, and he indulges her because it gives him the chance to practice and keep his skills sharp. He tends to dodge, which give her a chance to immediately spring into a second pounce, and sometime it turns into a parkoour chase game instead. Alphinaud is long-suffering. Alisaie is furious every time that she's been surprised, but wants to catch her in the act so doesn't tell her to stop. Urianger is indulgent, and actually strong enough with good enough balance to keep from falling over most times, and will indulge her with a cuddle after if she asks. Y'shtola spotted her the first time she tried to pounce, looked at her stance and just said "No." S'uni has never pounced on Y'sthola. Too scary. S'uni only play pounces gently with tataru, and usually just lands behind her and gives her a hug. She didn't really get a chance to play her game with Paplymo, but I imagine if she did he wouldn't be very impressed. S'uni is also more hesitant about sneak-pouncing on lalas. It wouldn't necessarily hurt them more than it would any other person, but she feels bad about knocking them over. And also fears what would happen if she did. When she tried to play-pounce on Lyse, Lyse sensed her at the last possible moment and instictively hit S'uni with a spinning kick to the face. They've unanimously decided that S'uni won't play that game with Lyse again. Krile has told her its okay, as long as she isn't busy with something. S'uni usually doesn't pounce directly onto her, but next to or behind her instead. Estinien just flipped out of the way the first time. During HW he was absolutely unimpressed with the game, and S'uni didn't really try to play with him. After HW though, it evolved into a new kind of game, similar to Thancred, in which S'uni pounces and Estinien flips, and they will run all over jumping over each other and trying to tag the other first. And that leaves us with G'raha. S'uni loves G'raha. She liked him from the moment he first taunted her in Urth's Faunt and challenged her to a race. She fell in love with him before he went into the tower to sleep. She ached for him throughout HW and StB. She couldn't help but be reminded of him in ShB, though she was too scared to get her hopes up and convinced herself it couldn't be him. It both broke and healed her heart when it was. Now that he's back, he's her favourite to play her pounce game with. She did play it with him a few times before the tower, but it was a more 'pounce quickly and run away before they can retaliate' kind of thing. Now, its different. She'll try to stalk him, and if he's researching she usually succeeds. She'll pounce onto him and knock him over and then it turns into a wrestling match (the kind you've seen real cats have). Eventually they stop to flop on the floor in some configuration or other, laughing and catching their breath. And then, once they've calmed down from their little bought of silliness, she'll sit with him while he tells her what he's researching this time, listening with a fond smile on her face, interacting and asking questions. Its what she wanted with him from the very beginning. And now she finally has it.
I've had a bad few days. So! Reblog & tell me a silly/fun fact about your WoLs!
(& if you really wanna make me happy, spin my wheel and ask me for a fact about whoever it lands on!)
