warning, this is a huge autism rant LOL

addison era: i havent headcanoned much about his addison self tbh... the most ive got is hes transmasc and is very bird-like with feathers.....also cat-like too. i think the addisons in general act like that. another headcanon i have is that the addisons are naturally social creatures! they stick together and get depressed when alone, which is sad to think about considering the CircumstancesTM

big shot era: i think spamton during this era was at his highest career wise, and his lowest mental health wise (aside from his current mental health state). my headcanon is hed have a super inflated ego and lash out at people, but only to hide the deep rooted insecurity from knowing he only became successful from a phone. i imagine hed also feel paranoid and constantly anxious at the thought of losing it all, which ended up happening. the social nature of being an addison prolly also contributed to his decline since the addisons left him. so hed stick by the phone not only for advice, knowledge, etc... but for some type of social contact, albeit incomprehensible.

puppet era: this is the most confusing one for me. i still to this day do not know how he became a puppet, if the addisons are puppets, when he became a puppet, etc... its such a confusing thing to wrap my head around. im a big fan of the acid theory and that it kinda melted him away ! however, i dont think it made him shorter bc he states he was always small in the qna, i believe... another theory that could be plausible is the force behind the phone slowly turned him into a puppet as like a "you get success, but only if i get to control you" type curse. idk! its a confusing timeline. regardless, i love his current form the most, aside from sneo. i think hes ageless, but still has the energy and features of a late 40-early 50 year old dude. i draw him with a receding hairline and damage to his puppet body. still transmasc also!

a huge thing i adore about his character is how unapologetically evil he is. he doesnt hide it, he admits hes evil and/or uses you for evil (in snowgrave). and the thing that fucks me up the most is, he had that thornring planned REGARDLESS OF THE ROUTE which is so scary. like if you beat his ass, hes like "whoa there dude! at least buy my ring! fuck you!" and runs off. that and the fact he kept trying to get that neo body. he is so desperate that he has multiple plans to get that body for god knows what.

also the trans allegories for him!!!!!!! love it!!!! like him really hating his puppet body and wanting to be bigger.... or like when u put the emptydisk in the mannequin with the dress, only for it to not wanna go in. like yeah it could be a interpreted as him wanting to go into sneo and not the mannequin, but given his connection to mettaton, who has some heavy trans allegories, i think it has more meaning than just "this isnt sneo!!!!" .,,, also the fact he gets such intense euphoria from being sneo. godddd i love trans spamton allegories!!!!!

spamton neo: my second favorite (almost first favorite) form of spamton. incomprehensible armor, but still killin it with those heeled boots!!!!! girlboss honestly

post sneo fight, i always found it interesting how his ark ends in a less hopeful, and more existentially dreadful manner. it almost feels unnecessarily cruel, but i think that the sad ending to his story is essential to get that hopeless "your choices dont matter" theme across. it also just shows how his hubris fucked him over in the end no matter what he did. ALSO HE DID NOT DIE!!!! people keep saying he died. he didnt. he literally has dialogue if u fill your inventory where hes like "bro???" so like. i think he just kinda gave up and turned into an item on his own accord, like jevil.

however, my favorite iteration of sneo is snowgrave. it really shows how genuinely fucking evil spamton is. he literally tries to stop you from being evil so HE can be evil, its so fucking awesome KJDJGSNKJSDNG

but like. fuck man, the dialogue is crazy good??? just peaking into his actual thoughts and insecurities and absolute self hate... muah. and getting that info from him self projecting onto kris? MUAH!!!!! i think its such a perfect battle for sneo because of how he tries to evade responsibility and hatred toward himself, or at least tries to make it sting less, by self projecting it onto kris. he hates kris, yeah, but its mostly just hatred toward himself, what hes become, and how far hes fallen from grace. and him trying to claw his way back to being successful- no BEYOND successful- and into world domination, is fucking harrowing. he is a fucking force of nature in the form of a YTP puppet.

i adore everything about the buildup to snowgrave sneo, the environmental storytelling, everything!!! it was only recently that i realized the scribbly lines around the mansion were his glitched advertisements.

also another thing that fucks me up: he killed his ex friend by proxy. absolute insane behavior its so. ohhmygod. i also love the connections to noelle and her being an angel. an angel sent to help him reach heaven... godddddd i love this shit

another thing i find so fascinating: his glitched speak in his sneo form is not as incomprehensible? its so eerie. hes like... he can better communicate his thoughts better and more coherently, which is genuinely so freaky because youre just so used to his nonsensical bullshit so its like. whoa. he was There Mentally all along, he just couldnt say it because of how fucked up and glitchy he was.

yes, i do believe he is like Completely There Mentally throughout the entire game. hes crazy as fuck, but he hasnt lost grasp on reality like jevil has. spamton has multiple plans concocted to get what he wants. hes smart! he knows what hes doing, and thats fucking Horrifying.

i think his talents would involve extra damage + prio unblocked enemies + his source of crowd control. his CC would be strictly bind, not RNG like aak, because his arts are specifically grappling hook/rope shit. i think i've been theoretically calling this talent and arts type "tethering." in lore he mainly uses it for traversal, but there's no reason it wouldn't work on people, too, so i think it fits best as a crowd control bind. one of his skills would then just do a "talent trigger increase" as part of their functionality meaning extra bind chance. of course, how useful he would actually be as a concept depends on the numbers, which is the part i'm bad at, but still, fun to think about :]

for other operators, he would definitely get on well enough with some of the cooks among the RI operators, for one. his favorite flavor of sweet thing is cinnamon, and cinnamon is easy to incorporate into things, and he's smart enough to be polite to the people feeding his interests. he would also, i think, have interesting but awkward interactions with the iberians, because while he is not himself iberian, he has traveled extensively there and shares memories of the profound silence/aftermath thereof with Andoain. ultimately, i think he's polite to most everyone he runs into if he were to go to RI, but he's already rather closed off as a person and you have to open him up with a crowbar, so i don't know if anyone could be considered a friend of his. i don't even think fiammetta is really a friend of his (he would call it that, but that's far from correct), more that they have similar enough feelings on a specific topic that leads them to cooperate. i think even increasing trust with him still leaves a lot under the surface.

other shealtiel facts...he prefers cats to dogs but understands the appeal of both, but his favorite animals are birds. being a sniper, he sees a lot of them, and spends a lot of time in places birds nest. i imagine lateran schools have a class on religion similar to catholic school (where i have unfortunately been), and that was his favorite subject because his mother was a canonist and spent most of her time analyzing the scriptures and teachings of lateran. he's surprisingly flexible because of this- he actually idealogically overlaps with andoain more than he'd like to admit, he just hates the man's methods. and life choices. when he's on the road he survives off of breakfast bars and terran poptarts. he prefers chilly weather to heat, but hates heavy snow. he has a halfway decent singing voice but never uses it outside of when he's free enough to attend a lateran service. his plan for immediately after achieving his goal (killing andoain with fia) is to take a vacation somewhere cold-but-not-too-cold and isolated and not answer his messages for six to seven months. he's still on the fence about where, though. he would do that right now if he didn't have duties to fulfill. his favorite mixed drink is a gingerbread gin and tonic (g&t + baking spice infused amaretto.) his favorite non-alcoholic drink is cranberry juice. he's become partial to a dying brand of iberian cookies because andoain likes them and he's started buying them up ahead of him out of a petty sort of spite.

SSS really does hate snipers which sucks b/c i do love me a sniperknights. chalter doesn't fall off quite as bad as some because she's useful for bosses but it's still Bad. i still bring snipers for the aspd buffs, but most of them just arent gonna hold up too much. sad :( gj with mandra! she's annoying but at least in her actual boss levels that aren't TFN you get the automatic pillar destroyers. good luck on chapter 9 when you get there :]

When my dad went to adult prison for the first time when he was 15 his first move was to burn a pedophile to death in his bunk using coffee cans stuffed with kindling and cleaning solution as an accelerant in order to earn the respect/protection of the aryans and avoid being sexually abused.  He says it wasnt the first person he killed (he refuses to tell that story) but its the only person he’s ever killed who wasn’t dumped in a specific spot and he jokes about it a lot but one day that they are going to go into that lake and find those bodies and it won’t be so funny anymore and we will “finally take him seriously “ and he says whenever he enters a room his first thought is how to kill everybody in it should it turn dangerous/hostile and he loves to brag about how many people he could kill with his guns before anybody stopped him.  Like now he’s settled into a TWD season 4 apocalypses farmer cosplay and bought a big red pickup truck and only has 1 leg and drinks on his pain meds all day so the only things hes a danger to are the rabbits that he sits in the back yard and shoots with his handgun when they get into his weed plants (which, turns out, SUPER illegal u cant just pop off a .32 in a suburban back yard but the neighbors are all too afraid/dependent on him to call the cops, plus hes sort of the neighborhood enforcer like my neighbors dont call the cops when shit goes down, they call my dad who comes over to handle it with an AK-47).  But yeah I really want to get him a good talk-to-text so he can tell his memoirs since all he does is drink and be lonely and watch Pawn Stars and Storage Wars all day collecting his memoirs would give him something to do but hes illiterate so he couldn’t write them himself and I think there are things hed be uncomfortable telling me that he might not be uncomfortable telling a microphone alone.  But hes one of the most interesting people I have ever met and he needs to get his memoirs out there while he still has the mental facilities to.  When I was a baby he was so mobbed-up that his “Uncle”/(boss) sent for a limo to bring me home from the hospital when I was born and my other uncle used to fly small airplanes full of blow in from South America and he was THE blow guy for the tristate area for a period of time.  He went to jail for almost a year on a possession charge when i was a kid and my  mom literally convinced us he was just at work/sleeping from the night shift I didnt know about him going to jail until I was in my older teens but before the booze and pills totally destroy his brain he needs to tell his story so I think for christmas im going to get him a really nice talk-to-text.  Any suggestions?

Your first OC ever?god. its got to be Super Kitty. when i was like … an incredibly small child I used to draw comic strips about this feline caped crusader, who was friends with everyone in the city, and the comics always involved him stopping an evil banana man from stealing money from the local bank. He was paid with donuts for his service to the city. i still remember how to draw him.

I often describe him as being something of a reverse Arthur Weasley - a very fatherly scientist fascinated to the moon and back with the concept of magic.

Any OC OTPs? having trouble thinking of a lot of them right now, but there’s Eric + Lent & Naiadine + Tailias from Emerald Sigil, Avken + Baromet from my space campaign world, Sydd + Wyvv from my unnamed campaign world, and I’ve been considering Westrin + Servant as an interesting dynamic in Servant’s story

18. Any OC crackships? My character Bismuth and @autistictimeknight​‘s oc Eros. Theyre so fucking in love, I love it. Its been awhile but I do still think about them sometimes.

As I recall, Eros is an empath, she can read other people’s emotions. But Bismuth is a robot, and Eros can’t read her. Because of this Eros can let go of her fear of unintentionally manipulating the emotions of her date, which would hold her back from most other relationships. 

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)Hey, meet Bronze! I definitely do not talk about them every five minutes, why would you say that. 

Bronze was with me through two of the hardest years of my life so far, and being a DND character they grew with me, both as a fighter and as a person. They were non-binary before I started using those pronouns, they were the first character or person or anything who I fought someone about using the right pronouns for, they make a great icebreaker for if I want to see how someone reacts to non-binary pronouns … 

One funny anecdote about Bronze is that when I first made them, their “gimmick” was that they would sometimes glitch out and mess up their speech, mostly because I wanted an excuse not to engage in the roleplaying (which I was very bad at). The interesting thing is that as I got better at interacting with the group, we both grew out of needing it very quickly. 

I’m very proud of Bronze. 

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?Westrin is a bard! His singing voice sounds like Bill Wurtz and these are his theme songs.

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?I’m gonna go with Enza for this one. Enza Colie was originally written entirely because I wanted an antagonist for a short starring his sister, Jane Colie. But the more I fleshed out his reasonings for acting how he did and explored his character, the more I realised he’d make an even more interesting character if allowed to have a redemption arc, too. 

I just want to state for the record that I was very reluctant to the idea, and he basically dragged his way out of the villain pit entirely of his own accord. I am dubiously proud of him, and also a bit scared. 

24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?Probably either Eric (Big Man, Best Friend), Crocus (Mother figure), Reed (Father Figure), Westrin (hed just make a good friend u kno??), or Bismuth (she makes good conversation!)

Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will? this is an interesting one… i don’t think ive ever had something Bad in a design ive done called to my attention by someone, but I did create my character Servant at around the same time I was first really expanding the diversity of my casts. (since i don’t talk about him often, a little context: he’s a magic spirit creature bound to human form to serve the royal family of the land and follow their orders.) 

somehow, younger-and-more-stupid me managed to have the revelation that making this “eternal slave” character literally anything other than a white man, especially as a white author, would be Pretty Not Good. im … thats really, really not something i should pat myself on the back for, but i do consider it one of the biggest bullets dodged in my artistic career so far that i realised that not all representation is good representation so quickly, before i could make that incredibly, incurably stupid mistake. 

after that, trying to make sure my characters and their presentations don’t harm anyone pretty much has become a paranoia. i don’t seem to have stepped on any toes yet, but when it inevitably happens, please let me know - i didnt know, and i want to fix it!

… actually, the gatekeeper might be it, if “dangerous” just refers to “the amount of raw power it can wield”. the Gatekeeper is a titanic entity that exists in interdimensional multiverse space, and its implied to have the ability to create and destroy entire universe bubbles at will. for what cosmic purpose, no-one knows. 

at a more personal scale, though, literally all of the aforementioned characters are pretty bad to run into too.

Tawn is the Indiana Jonesy type and probably dumb enough, but also competent enough not to get into too much trouble there. Mina would probably drag her friends along. 

30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection? XEN09. No-one knows, because no-one knows xir personal identity. Xe absolutely does, though. It’s less of a secret if you know xir in person, but good luck finding out about it otherwise.

33. Your shyest OC?probably baromet. they prefer to keep to themself in their hideout, with their collection of shiny things. they don’t really enjoy trying to communicate much, mostly because they expect to get yelled at.

- Crocus and Sarle. (x) (x) They don’t exactly have a very well-developed relationship, but they are both quite important to the plot of my campaign world, and they are both very interesting. Crocus is a motherly figure who just exudes friendliness, while Sarle is .. very much not that, a researcher studying very gruesome things and pushing the boundaries of reality. 

- Jane and Enza Colie. I haven’t talked a whole lot about either of them here, but I’d rather leave their story to do the talking whenever I get around to it. Essentially, the both of them were intended to do the dirty work for their crime boss family, but Jane ditched to study medicine. Most of the conflict between the two of them comes out of Enza not understanding why she made the choice she did, and coming to understand how he’s been manipulated. 

35. Any sibling characters? I can’t really think of any off the top of my head, I should … I should really work on that. 

I can talk about Westrin, though. Westrin (a demigod of many things, but namely bards, travel, travelers, and people who are lost) often becomes close friends with mortals, sometimes practically adopting them. These people who consider him family, and people who have received his blessing, are able to use his surname, Brilanta, as their own if they choose. So I guess all of the Brilantas are siblings, at least in spirit. 

Oh, and XEN09 has like, seven siblings. Xe is the second-oldest, and least remarkable.

aside from the entire “bronze-tangential characters” thing i mentioned awhile back, I tend to really like designing characters with hair color lighter than their skin color. it just looks so cool man. i love drawing freckles but dont put them on enough characters. i like really curly hair, but also really long and flowy hair. i like drawing triangular body types, and pointy/prominent noses.

SO . actually there are several parts to this dream and I woke up between the first two parts but ... YEA.

At first I was home but a cat had gotten inside my house, I already had two cats ( my current cat and the one that will have died one year ago exactly tomorrow... yes five days after my birthday december is a cursed month for me. but if u wanna know abt him just search 'tchoupi' on my blog ) and I don't think my girl was okay w that new cat ? also new cat looked wonky sjhsjsh ? I wasn't sure abt its behaviour bc it seemed like it cld get irritated fast. In the end my mother told me to throw it out so I did against my will but when I saw it walk away... it had a missing leg.... I was like oh shit dude no come back... so I went and opened the front door and it came back running !!! I couldn't leave it like that w/o food if it already was incapacitated in a way. so that was my new cat. everything ends well ( I'm pp sure I forgot a part of that part but it's not the one I'm interested in )

SECOND PART... THE CÅSTLË. i was in a castle that was more medieval than renaissance styled or whatever the fuck i didnt study architecture but yes this. it had a courtyard with a fountain and that courtyard had a beautiful view on The Unknown ( aka fields and forests and stuff yknow just. The view ) but there were also bridges ( not the rock kind the "we use it in movies to make a character dramatically fall after the villain cut the rope" kind ) and little paths to go to The Unknown. there was a built-in church ( not a christian but i guess that was a smart choice given most attendees were fire emblem characters and they were definitely christians ) and also stables i guess ? but the front stables were empty and i didn't get to see the actual stables. the front stables had a pathway going around them ( there was a front stable on the left and on the right, with the courtyard being a little pushed back ? like if you left the end of the stable pathway you were already past the courtyard )

so now picture all ot this but suddenly the sky is super dark and everything is grim and gloomy. like a typical halloween movie. everything that was neat feels now worn out and the pathways are definitely scary, nobody wants to go there !

i was looking for my friends ( aka mercedes from fire emblem three houses ) but somehow couldn't find them, a fight broke out between ingrid and annette ( also fire emblem three houses ) and i don't like rich horse girls nor do i like racists so i was about to beat ingrid's ass. this big dude comes in and threatens me so i scold him and he and ingrid both go away. i win. i talk to more people but they're all acting weird except annette i guess. whatever weirdos i'm out

next i keep looking, but now i'm not alone - i'm not sure of whether it's a real presence or just a spirit until the end of this sequence where this boy tells me where to go and what to do to fix things a little, so i go into both stable pathways and end up being possessed twice ( demonic possession isn't as bad as they tell you i turned out fine ) so when the boy tells me where to go next i'm like "are we getting possessed a third time ?" he chuckles. ( i am gay so that was cute )

but we don't get any time to do that third thing ! we get out of the pathways and everyone is planning to go fight whatever is beyond The Unknown ! i look at the boy and awake me now pictures him as kraam from the stranded. cool i have a nice partner in crime i'm okay with that. the others leave, there's a lot of them but a second group is getting ready ! so kraam-but-not-quite grabs my arm firmly but like he doesn't hurt me or anything and we start going into The Unknown as well. im like hey wtf do we do now. and he tells me oh these two groups are going mad that couldn't be us let's go find the stray kids ( awake me now realises this is ~cringe~ but dream me was like whoa a solitary group of ppl who fight bigger evils ! BC YES THAT WAS WHAT SKZ WERE DOING IN THIS DREAM but i never met them ) so we can join forces w them and defeat these ppl. i look back. i see the second group from afar bc they have torches. im like wow this is like beauty and the beast.

something happens, idk what, but kraam starts running ! i'm a slow runner so i thought oh fuck not again but i ran after him anyway, the next bit is us running through a sort of jungle ( the sky is clear again ) and like its CRAZY i fucking loved that bit bc WOO ADVENTURE !! ( im a sagittarius )

then we slip between two trees' leaves and end up in a facility. we keep running bc if we stay there We Will Die. suddenly i am slowed down ( which leads me to believe before that he was holding my wrist but released my wrist when he slipped between the trees ) but he checks on me which i appreciate because that means he would rather die with me than survive without me, romance luv <3, we get out of there and - his family ! we're at his place ! i don't know if they have a home everyone is outside maybe that's just where they live with small tents and stuff. that's cool. i meet his many siblings and his parents. love his mother but his father makes me uncomfy. he tells me to wait for him and im like dude what ARE we doing and he says oh u know the stray kids. and im like bitch thats ur family not the stray kids. he says i know just wait for me. so he goes and takes care of his youngest sister somewhere else

his father ! the bastard. tries to kiss me in front of his mother. im like lmao dude thats disgusting die n go to catholic hell. i push him away and tell him off, he gets pissed but i cant go look for kraam bc his brothers r telling me abt how we're gonna go on a road trip. im like ? the world is abt to end tho ? but apparently my dream rly wanted a drama plot so fine.

his brothers have, allegedly, caught on to an alleged potential relationship between us. no im not gonna complain abt it im lonely and sad and gay so my dream fills in for me. theyre talking abt how theres not enough room for all of us in the van unless i sit on kraam for the trip but they ( specifically the one brother who oddly reminds me of dbk rain ) somehow make it into a sexual joke ? being me tho i didnt get it KSBSKDH... they were like talking abt legs ?? i remember it was abt how it wouldnt work with smth with four legs 'unless i could go with three' and like i dont even know what the hell that was supposed to mean we're talking abt a van not a horse ygwim ?

idk if i woke up after that but my brain did picture both me complaining to kraam abt his dad doing that and him getting quietly angry and just telling me to not come close to him again just in case hed try it again AND the beginning of the 'road trip' where i was indeed using kraam as a seat. and i was sleeping bc idk maybe i was tired from the running ! i hope my next dream is the continuation bc boy that was a whole drama episode

chanyeol - is allergic to both cats and dogs and Yet gropes every one that comes in a 100ft radius to him, so if that doesnt tell you what kinda man he is idk what does. google “chanyeol ferret” for the best google search of ur life. used to be part of a ferret loving club. also writes music, had more than one vlive in which he would eat mcdonalds at 2am in his music studio. the kinda dude who hits too hard when laughs but also falls on the floor n is the last one to let the joke go when everyone else stopped already

kyungsoo - hes.. interesting.. loves to cook loves his mom. with his teammates he can jokingly punch/pinch/kick them but with a romantic interest hed be the opposite i feel. in the folder re: konhiji like we’re not told how old toshi was when he met kondo but probably a teenager considerin sougo was 6-8 so i always thought toshi’d place kondo in a place similar to tamegoro but misunderstand those feelins as smth else bc he’s just a baby + kondou’s the first to show him real (or any) affection outside tamegoro n not fear or resent him in any way but actually want to help him (he later in life realizes hed just misplaced/misunderstood their 

nature). from that same era, i think his feelins for mitsuba would fit a similar narrative as in bc of circumstances she HAD to be the woman he loved bc all men must love a woman plus she had feelins for him (tho tbh i also dont think hers were any different from the familial love she had for kondou and it was also a matter of circumstance but thats another matter) so it was a done deal but still easy to leave behind for a new life n have as backup/excuse for any other

wow long but yes like toshi’s archetype in other manga/literature is easily read n can be coded as mlm/gay n is often the case but his issues run too deep for him to even consider that part seriously (at least tbh until 551 maybe baragaki but i dont think that early) so he has to suffer for it he deserves the worst the only reason gh is okay is bc he provides economically for gin chan n would be willin to pay any outstandin debts as shown in the soul switch arc. the end

i feel like this was just a sneak peek into that folder, but I loved it 200%! it’s super hard for me to reply without going into my own headcanons about gh and how they relate to one another, cause the way toshi relates to gin is so different from kondo in my perspective; in fact, it’s why i can’t get romantic konhiji at all, though i admit you make a fair point when u address the transition of toshi’s “most important person” from tamegoro to kondo (at that young age mixed feelings would be acceptable) plus, i always saw kondo as the character that ‘saved’ toshi, while gin was the one that ‘healed’ him. ofc both relationships go way beyond these dynamics, but without any actual canon romantic proof it’s difficult to postulate from toshi’s limited pov. 

so, while the shinsengumi became his substitute family and kondo tamegoro’s substitute (the family core), it’s a given that toshi perceives this love as unconditional, would-die-for etc. however, it would be interesting to explore his feelings for kondo back then in relation to mitsuba; like in an effort to answer the love of a woman (as you so brilliantly put, that in those circumstances toshi HAD to love a woman) he tried to shift his romantic feelings/attraction to kondo’s masculine figure to her ? (IM ONLY  REALIZING NOW THAT THIS WAS PROBABLY WHAT YOU MEANT BEFORE? IM SORRY) tho i don’t agree that mitsuba’s love for him was familial cause ponytail toshi, mack, like pls, she had to be blind ???

then we come to ginchan, whose whole relationship with toshi is based, imo, in the fact that they not only see a part of themselves in each other (the guilty, self-hating, rebel part) but that in seeing it they understand themselves better and are able to open up, share their experiences and encourage one another; not to mention protect what’s dear to them. aka they love each other. there is literally no other explanation for ginchan waiting in the rain for toshi so they could go out for a meal? i mean, sakata gintoki sat in the rain, under his umbrella, looking all complacent & shit. ALRIGHT. 

btw i bolded some of your bits cause i rly relate to them in the way i see toshi, especially the ones about him putting up a shield. toshi has always had problems dealing with his feelings, even before we knew of his past with his brother (which for continuity’s sake was probably what triggered him to bottle  everything up), he had always been written/regarded as a cold, level-headed character who doesn’t let emotions get the best of him. his rank in the shinsengumi further emphasizing this (and his otaku persona as well). so, without disregarding ginchan’s merits, i think that kondo’s influence (and even mitsuba’s to some extent) may have contributed to lowering toshi’s shield enough that he was able to give himself a chance to connect with someone outside his comfort zone/past. the fact that that person happened to be a man only makes more sense given his background and the hints that tell us he was never able to relate to women or feel like he could make them happy. it’s Tough on my heart to say that ginchan is basically ideal because, even though he is the mc, it’s like he was made to play that role in toshi’s life. he doesn’t bring all the answers but rather more questions cause there’s no way toshi can be confused now because his attraction to ginchan cant be excused with the role of ‘brother’ or ‘fated woman he was supposed to love’, gh bond is their own, their closeness in canon SHOULD raise suspicion cause it sure doesn’t seem straight.

Hey there!! I don't really know a lot about autism, so it would be super cool if you could share your reasons for headcanoning teru as autistic? I think it would be interesting to read about your views on it and people like me could learn a bit more about autism as well, if youre up for it!

okay so basically!! people describe autism as a lot of things but tbh i dont think anyone ever defines it in a way that makes sense. i personally like to think of autism as an amplified world. sights, sounds, touch, emotions, all of that is amplified with autism. its like the volume in ur brain is turned all the way up and that really affects how u develop over time because u wind up thinking and coping with that differently

everyone with autism is different! but there are basic symptoms of it that lots of autistic people share to some degree. mob has shown many of these symptoms in canon. very blatantly, in fact. i would go as far as to say hes autistic-coded. but so many people have written about this so i wont go into too much depth. 

teru, on the other hand, feels like he has a type of autism that i sort of resonate with a bit more! 

i like to think that teru’s special interest is film and movies. special interests are basically like this Thing that u get so fuckin obsessed with and u have to know everything about it and u only want to talk abt it and in a way special interests are Hell but i digress. teru would often mimic a lot of what he sees on tv, including the way that characters interract with each other. in fact, characters were probably his guidebook on that. hed mimic this to the point of him actually playing the role of “protagonist” (before mob came along at least) 

teru uses social scripts to a blatant degree. but hes good at them. in fact, he even enjoys doing them! he loves being the center of attention so much that he often feels as though hes an actor on a stage. it isnt his real self, because truthfully, teru isnt that great at social interaction without putting on a mask and acting like his Character™ that hes developed in his head.

but terus autism slips through the cracks. for example, when reigen offered to pay everyone for their meal in that one iconic omake, teru didnt really have any respect for that. but reigen talked himself up, so teru probably just thought “if he doesnt want to pay why should i bother?” teru does kinda need people to be a bit specific about their needs and honest because reading those social cues is a bit difficult for him. he probably didnt even know that was rude. teru actually does a LOT of things he doesnt know are rude, because nobody is being explicit abt it. 

anyway thats all i got for now, but this is just a few things that show up in canon that lead me to hc him as autistic! of course, u dont really need any evidence to hc anyone as autistic. but! teru has a lot of evidence there if u ask me!

I have a moral compass formed completely around my own experiences but I genuinely think this law is applicable to anyone in a similar situation

intentionally ghosting someone is morally right if the person in question is manipulative

in my experience if someone is manipulative in any capacity, even if you stop to explain why you need things your way (space, time alone, something not in the aggressors benefit) they will 100% of the time twist it to be about them

I am friends with this chad and he had manipulative tendencies when we first began being friends and I would call him out on it

for example I said to him in passing oh I wanna see Honey Boy 

and then like a week later he’s like oh im getting tickets for honey boy do you wanna come

I said no im busy and ill just wait for it to come out on prime

hes like oK you Just Said You Wanted to See It Though....

I was like okay I changed my mind, I am  not spending on these freaking trivialities if I can save the got damn money ffs, I am not working so I don’t have expendable income, I don’t have the time, etc

hes like okay BUT you Just SAID you WANTED to see it

and I was like full stop you're being manipulative and don’t think im going to fall for it. even if I said with no excuses, no, im not interested, it means no im not interested flat

and he got mad at me like HMPH if a person doesn’t know they're being manipulative its not your place to be mad about it

im like yes it is, I can completely be mad at you for intentionally or unintentionally manipulating me, you don’t get to decide which emotions I should and shouldn’t feel, this is also crazy manipulative

after like 5 min hes like im sorry I was wrong

this happened like 3-5 more times like he'd do something manipulative and id be like stop. he'd minority contest and then succeed. but after a while I was like okay you’re a big boy you can be critical of your actions it is emotionally exhausting to have someone 1) actively trying to manipulative me to doing shit i don’t want to do, I'm not a teenager anymore, you can’t do this to me 2) having to explain to an adult man that their actions are clearly controlling 3) having, after I explain this is manipulative, to have to deal with someone being defensive over me setting boundaries and calmly saying “hey im not cool with you doing that, stop”

I cannot picture a scenario when someone is like Adriana I dont like when you consciously and continuously do this act of aggression on me and me contesting them in anyway, I cannot think of a mentally sound reason to do this, its super odious thing to do and beyond that why are you so comfortable being mean

anyways so I just stopped calling him out on it and he would continually do it like when I didn't wanna hang out w him, I wanted to stay in and read he was like “oh loser? alone all day? staying inside? never doing anything” and I was like yeah. yeah. ok? and?? like???? and???? 

then later when I'm like im a home body I don’t like do go out that much

anyways last last Wednesday we were supposed to hang out and I just didn’t. like I just didn’t call him or text or anything. 

my sister asked him in passing if he wanted to come to brunch with her and I and he was like yes and hes been bothering me about it and I was like okay im really busy, im taking 6 heavy courses instead of 4, people in my class who just have 4 courses are struggling because the 3 core classes are so heavy and are excellerating, I have to conduct 6 interviews with video and audio at a location far from home in 3 weeks and I have to make it into an interactive article using HTML so I have to 1. find the people within a specific assigned area 2. make them willing to do this project w me for no pay - essentially intruding on a business fo no money (this is insanely hard and 3/4 of my class are having extreme trouble finding people who want to do this) 3. do audio interview and then master adobe audition in 3 days to edit it 4. do video and again master premiere pro in 3 days and edit it 5, figure out html and how to embed this stuff into an online interactive article 6. make infographics that are interactive and embed them too 7. write a really personal and emotional 3000 word article on this business, the owners/managers and their customers

this is the course load for 2 courses

for another one I have to make a documentary pitch with a group so I have to find budget costs of everything including real people’s salaries and real rental prices, then write out 2000 words that is the pitch

then for the other three I have 3 midterms and 3 papers

and I told him this like I told him im fucking busy and hes like you’re not that busy you can make time we can go to brunch 

and I was like no. you do not understand. I do not have the time. I literally do not have a spare hour. 

and he was like yeah right, you can make time you just dont want to 

and I was like okay. thats it!

so anyways we were supposed to hang out but I had all this stuff to do and then my aunt in New Brunswick got really grim news that she has an extremely developed cancer and a week to live. like literally right out of a party question she has a week to live and my mom was very depressed about it. I really didn't want to leave home 

anyways so I just didn't contact him 

and then the next day I felt really guilty and I apologized and asked to see this dumb script he wrote

hes like ok thats not what I wanted to do but whatever

and I wanted to be like dude do you not give a fuck about what I wanted to do at all.......

anyways he sent it and I apologized again

and hes like whatever

not to be whatever but its always pissed me off when someone is profusely apologetic and the other person purposely doesn't either forgive them or at least accept their apology when the issue is minor. like since I was a kid this read as manipulative to me. because its like oh you hurt me, to make it up to me you have to do x. anyways again I was like okay im done. if you’re going to try that shit on me - and I know he will if I spoke to him - I am just not going to talk 

if you're going to turn anything I say literally anything into some kind of emotional warfare where you always have to get your way I will not spend time with or on you

I told him about aunt he was like oh be there for mom whatever

I dont talk to him for a week and then he texts me like how u feeling 

im like eh ok

hes like can I send you a letter? its kinda dark. dont know if this is the right time

like either sounding like its a suicide note or a ???? hate letter or something some bullshit I do not want to read I don’t really care. I wanted to be like are u fucking dense? are you this self absorbed????? you know im going through stress of my own and im having trouble carrying my own weight and you insist on making it about you????????????????? FUCK off 

so I don’t reply. not to be Rashida about this but I am not checking for you like that. I think this reads as cruel but I feel this kind of person would use suicide to be manipulative more than they would to talk about feelings, and beyond that its really not my cross to bear, you are a big boy, you have money, you can go to a therapist, you have other friends, you are close with your parents, (he had for months also bragged about how confident, secure, and emotionally advanced and happy he was so I don’t think its that). 

and then today hes like wyd tomorrow

and then at like 1230 when im sleeping he calls me and I don’t reply

not to be whatever but I dont want to talk to him it is emotionally exhausting. I am carrying the whole conversation. I dont like the questions he asks me and he roasts way WAY WAY too much. like anything I do he makes fun of. literally I will like eat and hell make fun of it ill cross the street hell make fun of it it ill stretch my eye hell make fun of it but if I say anything back he gets pissed off. on top of that none of his roasts or teases are funny? I went out with my sister and him and she was like yeah hes not funny and it doesn't come across as cute or even that he likes you its fully cruel and hard to watch. none of his jokes are funny! hes really obnoxious!!!! I have to fake laug the whole time I hate it 

anyways im just going to ghost. if I was “healthy” and “right” and didn’t ghost him, even If I said to him “hey sorry, honestly, you’ve been pissing me off I didn’t really want to talk” (this is valid sorry but it is a valid reason to not talk to someone. it is valid to not want to tell someone you annoy me and I dont want to talk. I dont have to explain this at all) “I've also been insanely busy and I didn’t have time to respond or hang out and it didn’t really cross my mind to message you”

but I wouldn't say that it would all lead to a maze of him twisting everything to get his way instead of just accepting he is wrong and I don’t want to spend time with someone who is like this anymore
