#modposts#im not kidding#i will make a spefific post about adult polycule someday#but the nutshell of what my thoughts are spefific to them is#the adults of one piece are all narrative commentaries on what it means to be an adult and be nonconforming#and their narratives are weakened when taken on their own because all 4 of them are supposed to create a version of adulthood that#isnt what conforming society thinks adults should be like#this is why they should kiss. it both strengthens the narrative and makes sense for them as characters
