I just came upon your blog and it's given me Lots of Thoughts, even though I don't particularly believe in any God (that is to say, I think there might be something more out there, though I don't think it's God as it's portrayed by any religion and I need some sort of tangible evidence before I can confirm or deny that something like that exists. All that to say I'm agnostic lol), but I do think you have some very good points about a lot of things.

I find it kinda hard to understand some of the things you write since you use a lot of long and complicated words that aren't in my vocabulary since English isn't my first language and I've never left my home country, but I'm doing my best! (With the help of an online dictionary)

Either way, I really love your art and I'm taking some inspiration from your style to practice, if that's okay with you! I just really like how flowy, creative and loose it is and I really need to loosen up a bit about making things instead of constantly adding more detail and perfecting it until I lose interest because it becomes stressful instead of enjoyable to create something.

I also wanted to ask, since according to your comics you've done shrooms before, how would you recommend going about shrooms to someone who's not used to doing much of any substance? (I barely drink alcohol and I smoke weed so rarely every time I do it I end up extremely disoriented until I manage to calm down no matter how little I smoke).

I'm asking cause a friend of mine whom I've known for years recently told me they have some, and that he'd be willing to share them with me, and I'm curious about trying them out and seeing if I can learn something from that experience, but I wanna stay safe while making the most of it :3

We do it to each other. "I like how she draws eyes" or whatever and we absorb it into our own style. Or just copying drawings/ paintings/pages. This is good. Do it.

I think using psychedelics is something better to talk about with people who know U in person and can respond to your needs and goals. Maybe your friend can give some guidance or knows someone who has a shamanic streak that can. Or you can always go on erowid or reddit whatever kids are using now to do a lil research.

I don't really feel comfortable giving specific advice or even general advice that might color the experience in a certain way, hope u understand...

Digimon Adventure (Blind Watch) - Episode 22

Honestly, couldn't get over how cute Tokomon was in this episode. Lil house hippo 🥺Aside from the fact that he's a pudgy little blob, it's also really cute seeing such a weak creature taking on a caretaker role when Takeru is by himself.

All that praise aside (lol) the human characters pissed me off in this episode and everything felt pretty contrived. The visuals carried me through, but everyone was just acting so dumb.

Digimon introduced: PicoDevimon

Notes:

-I felt like everyone was acting out of character here. The gang splits up for no apparent reason with no plan for how to meet up again I guess? Also, they just decided "Etemon's gone, so we're good" but I thought they knew that there were more bad guys out there based on what they learned from Leomon and Gennai? (Well, I guess it was pretty vague). Like I guess splitting up to find Taichi kinda makes sense, but they JUST spoke to him via the computer last episode and KNEW he made it home? (Or was that just Koushiro?) Just...nothing makes sense.

-Second annoying thing was how easily Takeru fell for PicoDevimon's lies. I know he's a little kid, but in past episodes he's been pretty calm and collected for his age. Him falling for that felt like one of those other episodes where Taichi was really stupid for plot convenience. It just felt lazy. He also accepted that PicoDevimon was lying just as easily so his sudden trust for this stranger digimon felt even cheaper.

-You would think that PicoDevimon would be a henchman of Devimon but I guess not. According to the Digimon wiki, he does evolve into Devimon, so at least that adds up. I'm kinda surprised they use the "pico" prefix in this show a bunch instead of "puchi." I'm more used to hearing "puchi" in Japanese, but maybe it's too cutesy lol.

-The crying scenes were actually pretty heartbreaking. It's never fun watching a child being abandoned and they hit the emotional notes right at least.

-Nitpick, but it felt a little weird that they featured a Ferris wheel in this episode since there was one in the previous episode. Just feels like they could mix it up a bit more.

-Patamon got THRASHED in that fight scene! It felt more brutal than usual and I was kinda shook. I think the inspirational fight music made it worse lol

-The Gazimon getting messed up on shrooms made me laugh. The whole "whelp, our boss died...now what?" thing they have going on is pretty funny in general.

-I'm so confused. They called Takeru's crest "The Crest of Hope" at the end. Are we just not going to get a moment where they explain these random crest names? If they're just gonna pepper them in like that and not explain them ever I'mma be annoyed.

-The fact that they now need to collect the rest of the gang feels very contrived. They split up for no reason and made things more complicated than they needed to be! Ah well...the show's better when they focus on less characters at once so it's probably for the best.

Oh my gosh, this is the first time anyone outside of a campaign has asked about my DnD characters so this ask has me both touched and stoked! 😭

My awesome friend is running a campaign where there are no more human/human-like species after a major environmental calamity. Instead, the world is populated by old machinery, mutated creatures, strange spirits, and many other weirdos. The setting is inspired by BOTW, Adventure Time, Nausicaa, etc.

I decided that my character would be a Circle of Spores druid who really is a mushroom! She’s from a clan of psychically connected mushroom people. In their society, their minds are constantly linked to the point where there is no individual, only the whole, sort of mimicking how real mycelium communicate. Some of the species even become permanently connected on a physical level.

The first of the species is known as The Great Mother and she is the one who creates and distributes all the spores. When she created their race, she chose to give up her individual autonomy and sacrifice her mind to become the conduit for The Great Mind Link. Now she sits in the center of the village, collosal and comatose, acting as the nervous system for all of her children. Overall, the shrooms are reclusive, little known members of the world.

My character has been sent away from the village in order to discover a new location for a branch of the colony. Once she discovers it, she will become another Great Mother and begin the chain to connect the societies. Here’s a sketch I did of her!

For her stats, I’m doing some research into homebrewed mushroom races, but I may end up doing a partial reskin with gnome or halfling stats.

I’m also planning on designing a few other shroom character NPCs so my DM can get a better idea of how I envision their society. I also haven’t named this lil cutie so any suggestions would be appreciated! :-0

The Hobbit: DOS: The Appendices, Part 10 (4/4)

Last Friday, we, The Hobbit group (aka the Dwarf Lovers aka The Cult of Saint Bofur) spent yet another evening on rewatching The Hobbit Behind the Scenes. Sorry for the delay with this post, this week has been pretty busy for me.

Here’s what we were up to this time:

Beorn's house and Edoras were inspired by Old Norse architecture as it was described in Beowulf. So, basically they are saying again that Tolkien was a fanfic writer and was writing fics inspired by Beowulf!

Thorin and Dwalin are amazed by the breathtaking view at Beorn’s. That, or Dwalin is catching some flies for dinner.

A lot of time passes, they are talking about the process of visual creation, but there are no dwarves in sight. Finally...

HAVE YOU SEEN THORIN? I saw Thorin's back, I am happy now, thank you.

Beorn lived an alternative lifestyle and was a vegetarian, had beehives you know Bee-orn It turns out chonky bees are cgi PETITION TO MAKE CHONKY BEES!!!

RA 1. appears on screen; 2. SPEAKS. Everyone: RA THE VOICE the beard! swoon   

And then guess who shows up again... Everyone: THORIN RA FAINTS THE HAIR ahhhh ❤️ I love how everyone just short circuits every time Thorin comes on  me: calmly points out ra y'all: alskdjf;lasdkjflsdfj;saldkf The true identity of Beorn is revealed! & I’m like remembering my first tumblr and how active it was when I was on a whole bunch of Research Chemicals & shrooms like damn I was tripping out so much 3 years ago. Like every other day. God that was such a crazy ass time. Sooooooo much has changed since I was flipping sheets I kinda miss that money, but id rather never feel like I’m all drugged up again xP Now I just run on weed and love mostly except on those nights that I let it get to me, I’m so glad I’m doing better now. & Yes if you actually read this I do have a problem with research chemicals because they took away my best friend at the age of 15 R.I.P Chessa. So yeah I’m pretty much venting so uh my day sucked but I learned how to play Flying Model Rockets by The Front Bottoms on muh geetar so that was kewll. Uh I’m done writing the record, but I’m not going into producing anything yet I’ll probably make a couple of demos but for now I’m going to be focusing on my trapstar shit but the soft will come out around the same time I just know at what angle I need to take this on and be set up for success and just have a domino effect type thing going on in this bitch. 1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Lilith is kind of a quiet little thing. She actually prefers to just sit and think by herself, usually out in the woods or somewhere that reminds her of home. She’ll do it for hours at a time and people will get worried because they don’t know where she went off to ahah

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

She’s very shy but she’s a giggler all the time

3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

She wiggles down kinda low and pulls the top of her mushroom over her and kinda hides. She sleeps standing up ahah

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

She’s really shy so it takes a lot of work to be her friend. However once you do, she’s glued to your side forever loyal

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

If you’ve already gained her trust she’s pretty forgiving, but if you’re practically a stranger she will avoid you if you do something that makes her unhappy or uncomfortable.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Lilith is very quiet and primarily communicates through gestures and other nonverbal cues. When she does talk, it’s very soft and very meaningful. She will only say what is necessary and you have to put the rest of the pieces together to understand what she want.

16. What makes their stomach turn?

if she sees you eating a mushroom she will faint on the spot

A) Why are you excited about this character?

oh jeez i’m so excited for Lilith because of her design. She was like 2 years in the making and I only recently figured her out. She took so long to be made she feels really special 

B) What inspired you to create them?

lmao ok i really love gnomeo and juliet and the little sentient mushroom figurine (shroom) was so cute i really wanted a lil mush,,, fight me
