i’m a trust fund baby; you can trust me
Sometimes, like every other red-blooded human on the planet, alcohol made Link do stupid things.
Sometimes those stupid things got him beat up by girls’ boyfriends.
Knowing Al’s place was closer than his own, Link had directed the Uber over that way, accepting the driver’s pity because, damn it, he deserved it. He had had a long night, yes, thank you.
Upon arrival, Link had knocked at Hakim’s window for a good five minutes before moving on, slightly disappointed that he was missing out on his chance to serenade him with a little Elton John. “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, specifically, since that was the only Elton John song he knew. He was about 75% sure the other man would have joined in a little - and now the world would never know.
He was maybe still a little drunk.
That was not the biggest issue, though. The biggest issue was currently throbbing on his face, growing blacker by the moment where a man twice his size had put his fist in Link’s eye. “Farah.” He yell-whispered at the next window on the fire escape. “Farah, wake up.”

Research Paper 2
Many people experience hardships from mental disorders that can affect their productivity and make certain individuals more prone to having other mental health problems. The pandemic caused by COVID-19 will affect many individuals but could have the largest impact on people with chronic mental health conditions. Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common mental health disorder that can make people more prone to have stress, anxiety, self-control issues, and depression. People who have ADHD can have problems focusing in classes, which can affect their ability to learn. It’s estimated that “The prevalence of ADHD is approximately 3–7% of school-age children and 2–5% of the adult population” (APA, 2000; Simon, Czobor, Bálint, Mészáros, & Bitter, 2009, as cited in Weyandt & DuPaul, 2013). Two to five percent of adults isn’t a small number when you consider the number of people who may have problems in college classes due to ADHD. “A reduction in dopamine synaptic markers associated with symptoms of inattention was shown in the dopamine reward pathway of participants with ADHD.” (Volkow et al., 2009). There have been various studies on ADHD that show it’s an issue linked to dopamine. Dopamine is responsible for many different things, such as motivation, pleasure, and memory. Some other chronic mental health conditions, such as bipolar disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, can cause problems. Mental health disorders can affect people on a biological level and can influence multiple neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine. Individuals who have mental health problems will be more vulnerable to the changes caused by COVID-19. The pandemic has caused many people to feel uneasy due to isolation. Many colleges have switched to online classes to prevent the spread of the virus. Having little contact with others can increase levels of anxiety, stress, and depression. People who suffer from pre-existing mental health conditions are more likely to have co-occurring mental health problems (Eisenberg, 2013). The policies and fear that have come about because of the pandemic will have an awful effect on public mental health.

Look, I don’t do this often but...
I need some help running this Halloween blood drive for the frat house.  I try to stick my neck out for them but my house brothers have all fucked me this time around.
