There's a novel I don't really talk about (my account is like a week old so maybe that's okay) but it's because I'd probably never shut up if I begin. And it's Mission: Save the hunter.

It speaks of grief, of survivor's guilt, deals with su!c!daļ ideation in a very respectful manner, deals with ptsd and other really heavy themes with tact. There's comedy and really hilarious situations and characters, other very heart wrenching moments... I laughed and cried a lot and I have almost nothing bad to say about this novel beside the fact that it ended too soon. The side stories weren't to my taste though (beside Lee Jaheon from gsgw, my brain literally disconnects once the story contains aliens). It was very tender and endearing and I loved every minute of it.

It seemed like a fanfic of sctir at first (with a yoojin x yoohyun ship) and there are definitely elements that points to that (like Haepsalie and Eunhye who both are blue birdies that transform into weapons or the fact that there's a literal character who's just mentioned in the story like a very powerful hunter with golden chain like powers...). But the novel was still 134340% worth reading.

The world building was also liiiiiit for a space nerd like me (the theories behind the dungeons, the name's of some of Jihan's powers...).

How Jihan grows and matures and gets literally humbled by Yoon Seo while falling in love with him... how Yoo Seo heals and accepts quite violently and despite himself that maybe he still wants to live. Just a lil bit more... just a lil bit for him. And Jihan... thanks to his feelings for Jihan.

I also ate A LOT of kimchi jjigae while reading this novel so I recommend you stock up if, like me, you tend to crave what the characters you're reading are eating

The manhwa is gooood too!!
