— *✰ ۫ FOR: @thelionshrt / regulus black !
LOCATION: 12 grimmauld place TIME: just after lunchtime
Although she'd been here a handful of times before, something about 12 Grimmauld Place still felt eerie to Pandora. It was a lot colder than her home was. Reminded her of her father's. Whilst she waited for Regulus in the library with Kreacher, she spoke jovially to the house elf, cutting through the uncomfortable silence with her light conversation. "Oh, sure," she was saying, giving in at last. "I'd love a cup of tea. Three sugars and milk, please. And whatever Master Regulus drinks so it's ready for him. Thank you, Kreacher. You’re always so kind."

There was advantages to going on a date with Regulus in a muggle town in Ireland.
First of all, the likelihood that anyone who might recognise them, who might pose a problem to their secret, was so much lower here that they could relax. More than they could almost anywhere else. Fiadh could walk with her hand in Reg’s and not feel anxious about anything.
Second, Regulus’ reaction to the muggle town made Fiadh smile. He was so confident in the wizarding world, but here he seemed confused but curious. Fiadh knew he had been taught a lot of negative things about muggles, so she gave his hand a squeeze every time he looked... well, Fiadh wasn’t exactly sure how she’d describe it. Apprehensive? Maybe.
“Come on,” she said softly. “There’s a sweet shop not too far along. We can take them down the beach.” Despite it being summer, the wind was cold today, and Fiadh knew where on the beach would almost certainly be empty.

Making her way around the party with a drink in hand, Ottie meandered through the groups of people, searching for a familiar face while Barty was with his friends. She knew she needed to branch out, and in her hazy state of mind decided that Regulus was just the person to get to know. Despite having been in school with him her entire Hogwarts career, and knowing his family as a fellow member of high society, she felt she didn’t know him nearly enough. “Reg!” she hiccuped as she approached him, a smile far wider than usual and her coordination a bit off. “How are you? How was your summer?” @fxtedstars

Sirius | Regulus
"I’m not drunk enough for this shit,” Sirius muttered to himself. He pushed through the hordes of students in the lounge, making his way to the kitchen. He’d stashed some decent tequila somewhere under the sink last week; he’d do well with a shot or two, so long as Marlene hadn’t dipped into it.
He stopped dead in his tracks as he caught sight of Dorcas talking to his brother. His underage, definitely-not-a-university-student brother, Regulus Black.
Fucking hell. He really, really needed that drink.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” he said, interrupting their conversation.

Where: Malfoy Manor
Who: @regulus-lionhearted-black
Gideon always felt out of place at events like this. He had never known how to fit in with the -=]crowd and this crowd especially was not one that he found himself in often. He would have preferred to skip this party and spend his time painting something in the garden instead. It had been far too long since he had truly been able to paint to his hearts content. He was holding his wand in battle more often than he was holding a brush and that had crushed his soul just a bit the more that this life carried on. He hated the war. He hated that he had to fight anyone. He wanted nothing more than to have never heard of the battes going on around him.
He supposed it was too late to regret his choices now though. He had made good friends in the order and he valued those relationships. He had never felt more a part of something before. It brought him a sense of peace more than anything else could lately. Gideon found himself drifting from the crowds in search of something that would make the trip worth his time when he stumbled uon what must have been an art gallery. At least it had enough pieces of art to be one anyway.
Gideon was making his way slowly through the paintings when he found a familiar face. A hesitant smile came to his lips as he moved to stand next to the other man. "Regulus are you hiding from the party too? Or do you find art really interesting as well?"

come a little bit closer II Reg
Was it a terrible idea to have a picnic in November? Most likely yet. Charity had a feeling that the plan would bring some regrets in a few days when she inevitably woke up with a cold but right now it was difficult to feel like this was a terrible thought. Nestled into a makeshift canopy with Regulus, partly kept up by branches of the tree behind them and party through magic, she barely noticed the chill in the air- although that might be due to the abundance of blankets and little magical fires they had put up.
“This is a brilliant idea,” she said as she opened her thermos -technically her cousins’, but they hadn’t demanded it back yet- to fill up the two cups they had taken from the kitchens with tea. She looked up at him with a smile. “It reminds me of your birthday picnic.”

take my hand // reg + mary
It was late. Maybe not everyone would agree with her on that fact, but she didn’t need them to. She already felt the heaviness in her eyelids and had to suppress several yawns. A little known secret about Mary was that she wasn’t really a night owl. Sure, she could rally for a good party, never one to miss the fun even if it meant staying up until the sun rose. But on a normal night, she preferred to close the books early and get comfortable in bed so she could wake up the next morning and finish her run before most people were making their way down to breakfast.
But even though it was a Monday night, at a time she definitely considered late, especially when she had a pretty rough Quidditch practice that afternoon, Mary was very much not in bed. She was in the library keeping Regulus company, not so much because he asked her to but more so because she decided it was her job. Now that they were becoming closer, she couldn’t just leave him alone in the quiet library to do his work. What kind of friend would she be?
He walked around the stacks, pulling out books on a subject he had explained to her but she had already forgotten because she was too concentrated on keeping herself awake. She watched him from her seat on the floor, leaning against a wall. “How many books do you need for this essay? Are you trying to write a book of your own?”

Despite the lengths their Dark Lord took in order to limit possibilities of jeopardizing their forces, names and faces of known Death Eaters swam silently among the group every so often. Ezra was quick to jot down everything within his memory especially the youthful smiles that entered their ranks. Though he kept his distance, he was aware of Regulus Blacks participation from a young age. Curiosity naturally pushed to the surface; how did the images they dealt with affect such a young members views on their mission? Ezra found only a deep dark pleasure in the activities he headed, but he would be naive to not admit others may not feel the same. “’Morning Regulus.” He looked up from the cup of coffee he was lazily stirring. “How’s the job hunt going?”

their, they’re // flashback 1975 // regulus & ari
How Ari got wrangled into going to family events at twenty they weren’t sure. They were meant to attend Black’s manor for dinner once a month beginning immediately. It may have driven Ari’s thoughts a little crazy to be around the Black family drama, but had to face it: they were one of the most influential families in the wizarding world. Some concessions had to be made. This was one of them.
Ari dressed in their finest, make-up perfect and hair curled. They refused to look like garbage. That’s not how they were raised and their family wouldn’t accept less. This whole ordeal was for family; anything for the Avery name.
When the three -- their parents wouldn’t have Alaric around, of course -- arrived at the manor, a lowly house elf answered the door, welcoming them without making eye contact. Good. Wouldn’t want to have to cause a scene upon first entering. They traveled through the halls until they reached the dining area.
The much younger Black sat quietly. He was no threat.
How boring.
Nonetheless, the seat next to the young boy is where Ari found themself sitting. They looked at Regulus until the sixteen year old noticed. With a raised eyebrow, Ari asked, “So, what’s your deal ...Regulus, right?”
-- they needed something interesting to come from this evening. Might as well try with the boy next to her.

If she believed in soulmates, at least in a platonic sense, part of the reason why was the boy beside her. Nobody understood Pandora quite like Regulus did. Whatever she lacked, he made up for. His weaknesses were her strengths. The pair complemented each other perfectly. To the untrained eye, they seemed to be opposites, but upon further inspection, people would realise that they were really just two sides of the same coin. "Oh, yes please. That sounds wonderful. But I'll only go if it's on me. We haven't celebrated your engagement properly yet, and I'd love to buy you a drink or two... or ten." Marriage was scary. Terrifying, even. As someone who had never seen one work, Pandora felt slightly uneasy at this arrangement. But for the sake of her friends, she tried to be positive.
Regulus rolled his eyes fondly at the others teasing tone. He doesn't get irritated like he normally would. Pandora had always been someone who Regulus treated differently. There had always been something special between them. Regulus doesn't think theres a single soul in the world who he would trust, or who knows him as well as Pandora does.
Regulus chuckled lightly at the threat, knowing full well Pandora was being completely serious in it. "Well, good thing shes fine then." At the question he shrugged. If it were just about anyone else he would want to get the hell away as soon as possible, but it was Pandora, and Regulus never got sick of being around her. "I don't know, I was going to ask you the same. Fancy a drink?" He asked.

@regulustxt
“Hi Reg,” Fiadh said, an easy smile coming to her face. It was a quiet afternoon, with most students either enjoying the finishing of exams, or attending final classes. There was an air of ending around the castle. And with summer coming up, Fiadh knew her time with Regulus was probably running short. So she had to make the most of it now. Making sure they were alone, she took his hand in hers, giving it a squeeze.

Despair and Threats
WHO: Cygnus Black and Bellatrix Black, Andromeda Black, Narcissa Black, and Regulus Black WHEN: January 14th, 1978. 5:45PM. WHERE: Cygnus Black’s chambers
The atmosphere was somber in Cygnus Black’s chambers as he awaited the arrival of his daughters and nephew. He had gone around yesterday to personally inform Bellatrix, Andromeda, and Narcissa that their presence was required, and he had sent Regulus an owl this morning. He would be leaving tomorrow, bright and early, and there was things that he needed to run by the younger members of his family. Reminders of family, of duty. Times were changing, and the Black family had been attacked. That would not stand, and he needed to remind them of what it meant to be apart of this family.
He glanced over the table, which was set neatly five plates. He’d informed the house elves that he wanted dinner served promptly at 6:15. He had told the children to arrive at 6. There was a knock against the doors of his chambers, and Cygnus plucked his cigarette from his lips so that he might be able to greet whomever it was that had arrived. He raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching slightly at the person who stepped inside.
“You’re early.”

Gideon had not enjoyed the recent festivities he had been forced to participate in lately and he was reluctant to leave his flat on one of his few days off that week but he needed more painting supplies. He had run out of several of the colors he had been using a lot lately and he needed to get more of them to finish a few of his pieces. Still the fact that he was forced to be out around people left him feeling annoyed.
He was walking along with his hands filled with bags of art supplies when he spotted Regulus. The other man had been enjoyable company at the Malfoy's and he didn't hate seeing him as much as he hated seeing most people this early in the morning. At least Regulus enjoyed looking at art. "Good morning Regulus. Are you out and about to shop or did you just come for coffee?"
OPEN in Diagon Alley
The world wasn't what Regulus had imagined when he had first signed up for the Dark Lord's cause. Time had prepared him for that. He had perhaps been mistaken, or the Dark Lord had perhaps betrayed their original virtues. Yet, this world was not bad for him. In fact, one might say he more than benefited from the way society had been reordered. Once everything had been made right, did he want things to return? Grey eyes scanned the denizens of Diagon Alley from his perch, hands wrapped around a steaming mug of coffee, trying to figure out just what he believed and just what the world might feel.

;;Regular black snake
@rcgulusxarcturus
Evan knows two things without needing to dwell on them. One is when he’s being avoided and the other is the look of fear. Snape had been avoiding him, up until he sat across from him on the train.. but before that there was Regulus. He sacrificed himself for this kid, because the kid had potential. A dark potential to end up just like him, and he would see to it that the legacy of the snake wouldn’t be dwindled down to a harmless garden snake. No, some snakes needed venom. He’s sitting on the common room couch, eyes drawn to the figures that weave in and out of the room. Mulciber assumed he was doing a good job when his own house practically ran the fuck away the first chance they got. Some hustled quicker than others when he made eye contact. It caused him to cackle. Outstretching his hand he pours himself a glass of firewhiskey and hums outwardly. He’s starting to feel bored, which meant he had lists of people to play with. At least he could cross the mute girl from it now. Salazar smiled down at him when Regulus entered the room. A sly grin tugged the corner of his lips, as his baritone voice called out to the younger boy. ” Oi Regulus. Have you been avoiding me? Come drink with me.” Already testing the younger year right off the bat. Would he tell the truth?

Heaven Can Wait II Regulus & Charity
Charity had a sneaking suspicion that her dress was somewhat stolen. She had long since given full creative control to her cousins -hopelessly unable to come up with costume ideas herself- and they had sent it to her a few days after she wrote home about the ball, with a letter detailing what it was and possible styling options for her hair. At the end was a hastily scribbled note telling her to send it back straight after, preferably in pristine condition. While the picture of someone scratching their head and wondering where their dress had ended up at would normally make her feel guilty every time the fabric brushed up against her arms, tonight Charity was too happy to even consider it.
It was her first ball where she had a proper date. And what a date it was! Regulus always made her heart flutter wildly but tonight felt different- this wasn’t the two of them in a classroom or library, this was them together at a function. It felt a bit surreal, like a daydream she had spent hours in springing to life. It made her reach out to take his hand, gently interlocking her fingers with his as she tried to gather herself by pretending to take in the room. It was marvelous and the ceiling breathtaking but nothing in the room was as breathtaking as Regulus standing next to her. Charity hadn’t been able to stop smiling since she had started getting dressed and brushing her shoulder against his she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to stop. The expression drunk on love had always puzzled her -she didn’t have a baseline for either- but in this moment it all made sense.
She drew a breath, hoping her words would come out as a structured sentence and not a giggled mess. “What do you wanna do first? We could dance, or mingle, or check out the wreck?”

tell me more // mary & regulus
It’s not that Mary was stalking him or anything. It wasn’t like she was spending the whole dance sitting around waiting to catch glimpses of him. At the very least she hadn’t been searching him out the first time she happened to spot him out on the dance floor. But if she were being honest, the moment she saw Regulus with none other than Charity Burbage in his arms, she became immediately invested.
She had her own reasons to suspect there was a love interest in his life, and she had kept herself from bothering him about it even though it had been a mystery that had plagued her. But seeing the two of them together, seeing the way he was smiling at her, she was confident the mystery was solved.
And so, yes, she had been waiting for the right time to cut in and steal Regulus away for just a few moments. Which meant frequent glances around the room to spot where he was, only to decide that they were too wrapped up in their date to be interrupted. But finally Charity stepped away, possibly to get a drink or say hi to some of her friends, and Mary jumped on the chance. She was by Regulus’s side in a moment and a barely contained grin pushing its way onto her face probably gave away her intentions in a heartbeat.
“Hey there. I’m been trying to catch you all night but you’ve seemed rather... busy. Have time for one dance?”
