Rumor was Ward Cameron had an older son in town. What JJ didn't expect was that he looked just life Rafe. JJ could tell he wasn't Rafe by his demeanor. He'd be in his face the minute he saw JJ.
Luckily the pogue got his job back. It was his last shot at the Country Club. He needed it. One more fight or outburst with a kook he was out for good. "Can I get you anything?" JJ asked, flipping over the notepad to write down his order.

"It's why Anne Rice's vampires are far more superior than Stephenie Meyers...in my opinion. They burn in the sunlight yes, but they're sexy and don't sparkle under the light like unicorns," Nazli agreed with Trevor. As someone who grew up strictly Team Jacob, she found the vampirism aspect of the books quite silly. "The amount of glitter that would be wasted on the different sex scenes..." She trailed off and started to laugh. The thought of it had her laugh so hard, in fact, she snorted a little and cleared her throat. "Sorry about that, um, yeah! The Priest series, very riveting series," She grinned. Hopefully, it was a nice save. "Well, certainly not erotica, but, I wanted to find a few romance books. It's a beach day today, so I grab at least two books, some wine, and a charcuterie board to enjoy the day. What about you?"
"It's a lot, the whole sparkly vampire part throws me off. I like a sexy vampire as much as the rest, but did they really need to sparkle? Can't they just burn in the sun like normal ones?" He always had this opinion on Twilight, though he still suffered through every single film as his sister would watch it. Hearing they weren't vampires in this book he laughed and nodded, "That's good, it'd be weird if they went all BDSM with sparkles. Though, it could be entertaining." That thought wasn't going to leave his mind for a while. "I might check that one out then, if it really left such a mark on you it surely must be worth a read." He was open to trying anything at this point. "Nazli, it's a pleasure." He said with a smile then released her hand, "So what brought you in here today?"

"I know, sparkly vampires and shirtless werewolves, insane," Nazli laughed. "I guess the author wanted to do a steamier version of that. I mean who knows maybe Breaking Dawn inspired her to go the extra mile with it--" before she could add on, his question came up and she let out a laugh. "Oh god, no. They're all human in this one, the dynamics are more intensified too. It's just...hm...the whole series in general was painfully juvenile. However, if you're interested then there's the Priest, Sinner, and Saint series by Sierra Simone. That one...I think I had an existential crisis after that one," She rambled for a moment, realizing she did she laughed it off. "Totally fine, I'm Nazli," she smiled, shaking the man's hand.
Hearing her description of the book made him even more confused. He vaguely remembered his mother or sister watching the film before but didn't know much about it. The parts he saw weren't exactly screaming kinky or at least not the kind he was into. "Twilight?" That he'd seen, even if he'd rather not admit it. Wasn't the biggest fan but he didn't quite understand why someone would write such a thing. He could get behind some BDSM writing but the fact the two were linked confused him. "Are there vampires in it too? The sparkly kind? I could get behind a spicy book but it sounds terrible." His brows knit together as he looked at her, "Thank you for saving me the trouble. I'm Trevor, by the way." He realized he hadn't actually met this girl before and offered out his hand.

A soft chuckle bubbled up from Nazli, she understood that sometimes reading was just a hard task with the hustle and bustle of life and everything that came with it. It took concentration, and most of all, time. "Understandable, if you're trying to hide away for a few moments or you just so happened to have five minutes to steal a glance at a page," She offered with a grin. "Fifty Shades of Grey, the infamous bastardized BDSM book series known to man. It's basically a steamy fanfiction of Twilight."
Trevor perked up from the book as he heard the girl speak. His eyes met hers and he snapped the book shut, placing it back on the shelf. "I'd be lying if I said I was going to read..." He gestured to the books surrounding them, "Well anything in here." He concluded the realization that this whole 'reading' thing wasn't really for him. Not right now. He was a much more hands-on, needing to move kind of guy. He wasn't sure if he'd even be able to sit still long enough to read a book anymore. The only time he'd read was during high school and college when he had to. He leaned up against one of the bookshelves, "So, what is it anyway?"

"You got it, man." JJ wrote down his order. "Yeah, you and Rafe could be twins." That was probably why the guy felt like people were staring, and talking about him everytime he entered a room.
"I know a lot about your family. If you want. I get off in fifteen. That should be enough time to put in your order, get your food, and eat it. I'll meet you in the front. I can tell you all about what i know." JJ offered. The man didn't look like he was hoping to connect with Ward. Get a new father and son relationship out of connecting back with Ward Cameron. Maybe he slighted him. All this time he thought Rafe was the black sheep.
"All I can tell is that your sisters are good. I know Sarah. Wheezie not really. She's a sweet kid from what seen of her."

“I’m not such a big fan of fish but I should probably get used to it.” It seemed like he would have to stay longer on this island than he had planned. “But not today.” He handed the waiter the menu. “Just bring me a burger and beer.”
Trevor didn’t expect the waiter to be that bold and ask him about his relation to the Camerons. Most people just stared and whispered when they saw him. The blond didn’t seem to care about politeness nor did he seem to be afraid. He liked that and a smile appeared on his face. Trevor nodded. “Yeah, Ward Cameron was my father. Is the family resemblance really that strong?”
He chuckled at the other’s statement. The boy made him curious, and not in the usual way because he looked quite pretty and Trevor liked pretty things.
“Sounds like you know him?” From what he had heard about the Camerons, he couldn’t imagine his brother being friends with a waiter. But it seemed like their relationship was closer than that of guest and waiter. And Trevor wanted to find out, not just out of curiosity, he needed more information on his siblings to get what was rightfully his.

Naz had been sifting through books, hopeful to find something for her solo beach day where she'd read a book and watch the sunset over the horizon. For the most part, she settled on a book series, sure was it completely juvenile and cheesy? Perhaps, but she wasn't going to let that stop her from enjoying a good book. As she continuing to look for books, she passed a man and what he had uttered had her pause in her steps and she whipped around.
"If you want to experience the trauma of reading through why it's called a red room...I'd say that would be the book. If not, I can easily spoil it. That book series was my mom's guilty pleasure...and I honestly don't want to know why.

Trevor had been searching for something to occupy his time. At this point in his life all he was doing was working out, playing video games, or going out with his friends. He was never a big reader. Always thought it was extremely boring but here he was, at the library of all places. He was strolling down the isles, not even sure what he was looking for, but hoping something would catch his eye. One book name he recognized but couldn't exactly place why was Fifty Shades of Grey. He grabbed it off the shelf and began to skim through a few pages. Landing on one page he read through it and his brows knit together, "The fuck is a red room?" He muttered to himself.

"Well, most members go for the seafood dishes. Shrimp basket, fish fillet sandwich, fish n chips, crabcakes. We also have burgers if seafood isn't your thing." JJ said, looking at the man. "Do you want to start with a drink first. Rumminate on it?" He got his pen ready to jot down his drink order.
"Are you related to the Camerons?" JJ asked, making small talk inbetween his order. He seemed like an okay guy unlike his brother Rafe.
When he answered JJ's question. The pogue continued. "Your brother Rafe is a huge douchebag." He stated. Unaware if he met his siblings or not.
It had only been weeks since Trevor found out that his whole life had been a lie. Kinda fitting for a liar like him. And still it did something to him, when he found out that the man he had believed to be his father wasn't. Not any loss there, he was a shitty father, a drunk and a loser. Apparently his biological father was a fucking billionaire, living on an island paradise. Had been. That father was dead. And here he was. On this paradise on earth.
Ever since he had arrived, people were giving him the strangest looks, some seemed afraid, most outright hostile. He hadn’t met the one who was likely to blame for this, the one he, according to a photo he saw, somewhat resembled. His younger brother. In fact, he hadn’t met any of his siblings, he wasn't sure if he intended to. After all, he wasn't here for a family reunion. He was here to collect what was rightfully his. His share of his father’s fortune. The father he had never met and who apparently had died under some weird circumstances. He’d met with his lawyer though, or rather his widow’s lawyer.
Trevor looked up from the menu when he heard the waiter speak to him. Usually he’d just tell him his order and not bother to look twice at him, but there was something in the boy’s eyes, something restless, something that made him keep his gaze directed at him. He closed the menu.
“What do you recommend?”

"A pogue. You know us bottom feeders on the south side of the island." JJ reminded him. "Did Kiara's push into the ocean give you amnesia when she stole your catamaran?" JJ asked unware he was insulting a guy that wasn't Rafe.
"You're not even going harrass me or threaten to kick my ass for being on the kook side?" JJ's squinted his eyes suspiciously. The dude dressed more casual than Rafe. Rafe always dressed like douche heading to the golf course. "Rafe?" JJ said the kook's name just to see what he'd say.
“A what?” Trevor stopped and turned to look at the blond guy, his eyebrow raised. His eyes wandered over the blond's body, then back to his face that looked at him as if he was expecting something from him. “What do you want?”
He'd been on this island for less than 12 hours and already the locals were coming at him. But even though this guy looked like he’d been in some fight recently, the boy was a mere puppy. Actually kinda cute.

Penny stared at the letter in her hand. She couldn’t understand how this had happened, how this could be real life. She re-read the words though her eyes were blurry with tears. The headline of the paper had confirmed his death. Nate was gone. She didn’t know how to talk to Verity about it without explaining their whole messy past and she didn’t think she could handle that conversation right now. She knew what she wanted , but she knew what the consequences would be. Looking down at the letter again, she grabbed her phone, texting Trevor. Can we meet up?

Penny felt incredibly awkward doing this and she wished she had saved a bit so she wasn’t going in sober but here she was, standing in front of Trevor feeling like she was going to claw her own skin off. “Hey...” She said awkwardly. “I was wondering if I could..speak to you...privately.”

One of the best things about Tati’s jobs was the Friday Feeling. In other places she had worked, the weekend didn’t mean much, and her days off usually fell on random Wednesdays. since she’d started at the school, however, the joy that came with watching the clock counts down the last hours of a Friday had returned with a vengeance. It was Friday, it was lunchtime, the sun was blaring through the staff room window, and the mango smoothie she was drinking was delicious. Not to mention, she was sitting with Trevor, who was fast becoming the person she spent most of her time with. “What are you doing tonight?” She asked him with a quirk of her eyebrow. There was a hidden meaning behind her question- what she wanted to ask was what they were doing tonight, but given their relationship was strictly friends with benefits, she didn’t want to sound presumptuous. “There’s a new rooftop bar open downtown. It’s got pool tables and air hockey, all that shit. I’m totally free if you wanted to grab a few beers and get some sun after work?”

Estella had forgotten how hot Santa Fe was in the summer. Colorado Springs had been somewhat of a refreshing temperature compared to the New Mexico heat but as she strolled along the pitch side, staring across the sunbaked pitch, she actually smiled and basked in the way it hit her skin. Who needed lush plains when you could have miles of dull desert? The stands were alive with sound and the banners draped across the metal work were fluttering ever so faintly in the rare breeze. Pausing for a second with her plastic cup held to her chest, she was about to wander up to find a seat when the profile of someone’s face appearing from the dugout caught her attention. “Trevor?” She called out, extending her bare arms and beaming widely. There was the faintest edge of tentativeness. Perhaps nerves. The apprehension that he’d be annoyed. “They subbed you already? From a charity game? Dude...” @unsctisfied

Say Uncle // Victor & Trevor
Victor had finished his work up at Fordham as soon as he could before booking it over to Columbus Circle and finding an empty bench right near the fountain where ducks were swimming. Holding the stuffed elephant in his hand he felt incredibly nervous as he waited for Trevor to arrive, not sure if the man would have to cancel at the last minute because of Kevin.

Lone Star State
Kevin steps out the cab and pays the driver as Trevor gets McKenna out the seat and places her in the holder to carry on his chest. Thanking the man the cab drives away and Kevin rubs the blonde’s back “Who knew it could be so hot?” he asked “we may actually get to sweat away all that baby weight”. Picking up the suit cases he makes his way up to the door and knocks.
