He glanced at it then had to do a double take. Quickly slipping into the locker room which he knew was empty at the moment.

“Wow! As if this final hour wasn’t already going to slowly!”

“Now I really can’t wait to come home!”

He started typing again when he was paged.

“Gotta go. Home soon, hopefully. Love you.”

Only as he was halfway to the helicopter pad did he realize what he said.

And it was true, even if they hadn’t been together that long.

It wasn't often Aiden actually made a friend, or wanted to for that matter, but he'd met Jack a few nights ago and it'd been...something. He wasn't sure what, but it did have him out of his forge for the second time in the same week with a small thank you gift in hand. He'd texted the other to let him know he was stopping by, and was now on his doorstep, knocking on the door firmly before waiting patiently for the other. He was already second guessing what he'd chosen, the bottle of wine one he knew was nice but he had no idea if Jack even enjoyed wine, those thoughts starting a storm in his mind before the other man was opening the door, Aiden giving him a warm smile. "Hey Jack! Sorry, if I'm bothering you on a day off or something, I just...wanted to give you this. To thank you for the other night."

Priya didn't see what'd happened but she'd heard the commotion in the aftermath and after a flurry of activity, Priya quickly snagged her beer bottle off the bar top and wriggled her way through the crowd, admittedly a bit worried since one of the ones in the middle of it all was her friend.

Once outside, she let out a relieved breath at the cool night air on her skin and she looked left then right, peering around before finally spotting him and she walked over, biting her lip as she stopped beside him. "Rough night?" She asked, both sarcastic but with a tinge of softness to it, concern laced in her voice.
