bruh it just occurred to me that redheads tend to be resistant to anesthesia

how many times did they try to anesthetize Mantis during his days in the labs and it just. didn't work

or he was 'asleep' but still conscious enough to feel everything

that adds a whole new level of horror to his backstory imho

"Wanda... This is for you," Mantis said as she held in her arms a black kitten. "I thought... I thought it was a Flerken!" Giving Wanda the cat, Mantis took a few steps back. "If it is a Flerken, then we're both going to die... probably. But if it's not, it might help you find proper emotional support!"

"Oh..." Wanda almost whispered in surprise as Mantis appeared behind her with a black kitten in her arms. Before she could react, the woman was putting said kitten in her arms and she automatically held it against her chest. "I....don't know what a flerken is." She admitted as she looked back up at Mantis.

"But this seems like a normal kitten...." She assured her a few moments later. She smiled softly when Mantis suggested that the cat might help her get the emotional support she needed. "Mantis, where did you get this kitten?" She thought it wise to double check, the Guardians weren't really au fait with property ownership.

Is well aware of what men think of. Is forced to listen to every loud, nauseating thought that pops into their otherwise empty skulls, it was a nightmare just trying to separate them from his own. So why does everyone else treated it like a gift? How this power or whatever it is he's capable of, would 'serve him well' is still one thing that is beyond his comprehension.

He looks up to the older man, a man with a level of rank, which as he understood it meant he had, to some extent, wisdom that not all others possessed. So he askes. ❝ Serve me well in doing what? ❞ It was a sincere question.

I just realized Bee's probably only crazy because of her past trauma. And the fact she has brain damage

Trauma and brain damage can really fuck with someone especially their behavior.

I know it'll be basically impossible to get Bee through an MRI scan because of how loud it is, and she'll be in a tight space and restrained (ptsd plays a part in it as well).

And it probably got worse over the years because of shadow moses and the tramau that came with it. She also tried to off herself multiple times but obviously failed, so that probably worsened, and the amount of stress she did it too.

For some reason, I can see her having rare crazy outlash moments that night occur before or after a seizure or just. Purely out of stress or even out of nowhere. Like she's randomly killing everything and like drooling everywhere like she has rabies or something, I can also see her laughing too-

Basically, it's a moment where she's a straight-up maniac until she wears herself out of someone who puts her to sleep. Then she doesn't remember anything, maybe bits and pieces, if anything.

Like she's absolutely rabid and blood thirsty, falls unconscious somehow, then when she wakes up she's bit fucked up but she's her normal motherly & quiet self.

Bee, PLEASE get a fucking brain scan🙏
