Thanks to @urbansketchersvienna 's Vera, this is the first time for me at a real Viennese coffee house which has been around since 1880. I had the basic sausage meal and melange with apple strudel afterwards. The decor was classic, but the ambiance was quiet, and warm. I didn't see anybody with a laptop studying or playing with their smart phones - only people chatting in groups or just simply enjoying a moment alone. Such a relaxed, poetic and bohemian atmosphere which seems to combine the best of Parisian cafés and Japan's Kissaten from days past. I turned around wondering if Franz Schubert was sitting at the corner writing his impromptus, or Egon Schiele sketching his next painting ...
