Well, I made another OC from DC comics, but I want your opinion guys, to see if he is a good OC or not... Some information about him:

He is a Metahuman, who gained powers through an experiment, he gained powers/abilities related to insects/arachnids, and he was rescued and adopted by Batman, when he was 4 years old.

He launches a mixture of web and honey (Weboneys) through diamond-shaped launchers on the palms of his hands. As he grew, the number of Weboneys his body produced increased. His weboneys have a fishing line-like texture and are very resistant, however, they can become more resistant and strong if he eats/drinks proteins + sugar (nectar).

He has jaws where his mouth used to be, Furthermore, with its bite, it can apply a muscular poison, which can paralyze the muscle (in high doses), or cause tingling, depending on the amount injected.

He sees in ultraviolet and his super reflexes are in slow motion(Very useful in battle)

He calls Bruce father and Alfred grandfather, and Bruce usually calls him son, but Alfred usually calls him Master (his name)

I decided his name will be Konchunid (Konchū from the Japanese word, which means insect and nid, from the word Arachnid).

His Vigilante name is Abaddon (inspired by the demon/fallen angel of the abyss, which contains extremely powerful locusts(Search Abaddon's locusts and then they go into the picture, how horrible they are).

He has antennas, which are used to communicate with the Batcave. and also with Commissioner Gordon's communicator, it's quite useful, and also his helmet, it serves to amplify his antennas range(and the antennas are a little outside his helmet, as his helmet have mini holes to pass his antennas through), Besides his helmet, It has thermal vision (ultramarine) visors, which, together with its ultraviolet vision, help it see perfectly well at night.

His attributes and powers evolve in 4 stages (Larva, Pupa, Imago and Imago+).

Thanks to his ultraviolet vision, he is more attracted to the colors purple, red and blue.

His romantic partner is Cassandra Cain (in this AU she is created by Lady Shiva)

He has an exoskeleton, which appeared when he was in a pupal state (in his pre-adolescence), and his exoskeleton acted like a Kevlar vest, but improved and improvised(When he underwent two more metamorphoses, his exoskeleton evolved greatly.

One of his super attributes is his superhuman balance, he can stand upside down, he can climb with ease, he can do parkour with ease and many other things.

He also has super senses, and one of his super senses is his vision, because he sees in slow motion, he can be overly cautious in a battle, but the downside of this is that for him, many are talking at 0.5x speed, For others, he speaks of 1.25x

He has a long tongue, like insects, and they are very sensitive, His tongue is 8 inches (20.32cm).

Damian and Konchnid's first meeting is quite prejudiced, with Damian calling him a freak and hideous, but Konchnid, He tells Damian that he has his hideous appearance, to scare the criminals even more, which left Damian a little scared by Konchnid's serious and deep response.

Damian felt jealous to Konchnid when he discovered that he calls Bruce Father, and he finds it strange that Konchnid calls Alfred Grandfather.

Dick, Jason and Tim's relationship with Konchnid is that of older brothers caring about their "younger" little brother, they think Konchnid is an excellent vigilante, it's pretty amazing, the way he fighting crime, and arresting criminals, is highly valued in the Batfamily.

Konchnid and Dick's (Nightwing) relationship is quite healthy, with Dick often training with Konchnid in hand-to-hand combat, with Konchnid using his fists/gauntlets, and Dick using his escrima sticks, Damian realizes that Dick trains Konchnid more calmly than Dick trains him with sermons. There was a time when Dick made Konchnid bleed, but Konchnid was humble and laughed softly, saying that he will never be as good as Dick, but Dick replied to his little brother: "Don't worry Konchnid, that's what training is for, to improve your reflexes, and regarding that, I I see potential in you, my little brother!"

The Konchnid's blood color is bluish, due to his Arachnid side.

The color of Konchnid's eyes is ruby red (he wears sunglasses so that many people don't see his eyes), and the pair of eyes, in the pupils, have mini irises, which are compound eyes, which They serve as mini telescopes (the maximum zoom they can give is up to 60x).

Originally, I thought about it having a metasoma, but I decided to remove that part, because unfortunately, my application doesn't have that part to add to him...

Cassandra and Konchnid met when they were both 11 years old, and when they met, they couldn't kill each other, they both felt love at first sight, but Cassandra had to throw a smoke bomb, to escape, and Konchnid he just looked at Cassandra disappearing, he didn't know what to say, if it's love, or if it's something else... The two met from the age of 11 until they were 15, and at 15, both Lady Shiva and Batman discovered that their children were meeting alone at night on the rooftops of Gotham(Batman had placed a tracker on Konchnid, while Lady Shiva asked a ninja to follow Cassandra).

Cassandra in this AU, she speaks normally, but she speaks very quietly, with Konchnid she decided to speak better, and more confident, and the funny thing is that the two told their parents, that they both are different (Konchnid defending Cassandra and Cassandra defending Konchnid).

His exoskeleton gave Konchnid a cheese protection, so that if an opponent punches him in the chin, it ends up twisting or breaking the hand or part he uses, this happened with Bane when he was facing Konchnid.

The first time Konchnid discovered he had muscle venom, he bit Bane on the hand(When he was 9 years old, and was acting like Robin with Batman), and ended up injecting all of the muscle venom into Bane's hand, which ended up paralyzing Bane's left hand/wrist and arm of Bane for 1 month and 3 weeks.

I was inspired by two Marvel characters to make Konchnid: Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) and Tempest Munroe (Spider-Wasp).

Konchnid, he doesn't sleep in his bed, but rather he sleeps in an ugly cocoon with his Weboney, his cocoon is stuck to the ceiling.

Damian once entered Konchnid's room and was frightened and afraid, seeing the open cocoon of Konchnid.

Konchnid has retractable wings (his wings are like Cell's from Dragon Ball Z), and they go into his back whenever he is disguised in casual clothes (he also wears a mask to Cover his jaws so people don't get scared, however, some who already know his jaws, they don't get scared, on the contrary, they tell him that he is beautiful even with his jaws. He normally goes to a diner, where the owner of the diner already knows him, and says that anyone who talks about his jaws, they will have to deal with him, and that Konchnid should not be ashamed of being a Metahuman, And yes, he should be proud of who he is, the important thing is that he feels good and welcomed.

Konchnid has ADHD and autism level 1 support (varying between level 3), people close to him end up speaking for him, when he doesn't want to talk much, the owner of the snack bar he goes to, Set aside a notebook so that Konchnid can write down his order, and it will be done with care (and with lots of protein)

Konchnid's exoskeleton makes him weigh around 85kg, before without the exoskeleton, he weighed 60kg.

dude i was genuinely just thinking "man. i miss my anons on tumblr" and i looked at my phone and i saw the 4m ago notif on my tumblr where someone asked me something. i do in fact have a lot of things! but, as i just finished my partner and i's CAIN session, how about i tell you about it?

alright, so, to start off, CAIN is a narrative driven TTRPG system. you know abnormalities, and distortions? you know curses from jjk? you're pretty much hunting those and executing them. and SINS manifest directly from someones trauma, making them a SIN HOST. okay. got it? i helped co-dm a hunt/mission where the exorcists (the players) had to execute a CAT II (the categories run 1-7, so not very powerful) hound (SIN manifested from anger) called tanacetum. so, this is our session two, and the fun part is that we're essentially at the end fight where they enter a conflict scene (fight) to execute the sin. our roster was: beauregard, vespera and clarlaim. and also the child they stole from the hospital (yumi) but thats unrelated because hes the npc i was running aside from voicing all of the npcs involved in the mission. alright, so they get in the fight, and manage to like, finally chip away at the SIN's health. but beau, our buddy, is almost dead, because he essentially got almost mauled to death using the SIN's special attack: apoplexy. so i convince my partner to let the SIN summon, well, a summon, that essentially allows the SIN to have more reactions towards the exorcists. now, this is good for us, and bad for them. and especially because im now in control of the summon, called myrmidon. so, the health system goes like this: > you have a total of 6 hp (called stress) > once you go down to 0, you take an injury, regain your health, and do -1 on the max hp for each injury > you have a total of 3 injuries you can take > once you reach your third injury, you enter brink of death > brink of death means that ANY damage will put you in instant death > instant death? well. you die or you use sin overflow (essentially almost distortion, and if you succeed, you can continue living) ... so, the myrmidon has a special thing where if the summon does damage that causes the last injury, it instead RIPS YOU IN HALF and puts you in instant death. ... and beau ended up fucking up his 5/6 chance to live in sin overflow. so. um. he distorted and became an imago (nascent sin, essentially almost a sin) So thats the story of how i killed someone for the 2nd time in CAIN aside from my own character dying because of my own hubris. riip carmine i know you arent familiar with CAIN but its such a good system for fans of project moon, OR of novaturient too.

Im very saddened by how many of my BSF larvae are dying. I think its bc im overwatering my containers and theres not enough airflow in the substrate (which is compressing and getting matted from the moisture and heat) so theyre suffocating and overheating. Ive been sifting out by hand so many dead ones and its gross and disturbing a little; seeing how theyve been suffering abd deformed when they were once thriving. Yesterday I saw one imago fly crawl desperately and pitifully out some of the substrate i picked out and it was so deformed and sickly. Gave me a shudder tbh (i put it out its misery and killed it).

Im saddened but i think this is a good learning lesson for how to curate better environments for the BSF larvae (which i do care abt v much beyond what they do for me in my composting project). Things I think ive been doing wrong include:

Not aerating the buckets enough

Not aerating the buckets/containers passively enough - with filters and pipes instead of constantly shifting and rolling the buckets

Not adding dry and wet material in layers - i got a bit selfish and mixed the dry material thruout the buckets instead of just on top of existing substrate in layers bc i wanted to clearly see the larvae eat food (i find it v cute and relaxing to watch). This was devistating for them bc of how much the paper trapped water and heat in the buckets, and probably gave the larvae more difficulty navigating thru the strings toward air and food.

Not using varied enough dry material - i used too much paper, which absorbs water well, but then matts up pretty substantially when oversaturated; also not enough larger, different pieces of dry material, which would help create air pockets in the soil and diversify material in the soil

Not having a good enough set up for the darker, mature larvae to migrate from the buckets and pupate - ive found a lot of these darker larvae dead bc they've either succumbed to poor conditions of the containers or have spent their last energy reserves on trying to get away from the younger larvae and migrate to a dark, cool place; this saddens me the most bc they were so close to their imago form and being free from the buckets to complete their life cycle :-(

Adding too much water - makes the enclosed buckets/containers more likely to trap heat by compressing the substrate

Adding too little substrate - at one point i figured, naïvely, that some buckets—before i switched to large containers—could stay cool if there were less substrate to trap heat. Ig it would have worked had the buckets not been in the sun lol

Keeping the containers in the sun - containters get too hot and so does the substrate, suffocating the larvae, proliferating mold, and probably making the conditions harsher for other variety of creatures; the amount of sun they get is only ever about 2 or 3 hrs worth in the morning and ive kept them in the sun last yr w little to no problem, but when i went to sift the material for completed bits, i noticed the buckets were extremely hot on some days especially in the bmiddle of the buckets. Its generally recommended to keep compost cool in the shade anyway to make it easier to work on and also maintain its internal tempurature better (bc the movement of the larvae, the fermenting of their feces, and other factors cain contribute to heat production).

Adding too much meat, bread and starchy foods, like potatoes, into the containers (particularly at the bottom, where the former rots poorly and creates sticky muck-balls that houseflies and their larvae fancy more, and the latter 2 which attracts lots of mold if theyre not eaten in time) - BSF larvae will eat practically anything organic, even if theres a bit of mold on it, so its why i feed them meat, but they seem to only do so successfully when its at the top of the container, and ofc when the containers conditions are comfortable for browsing and eating)

Sadly im dealing w a loss of a substantial portion of quality of my compost. Even though ive nearly completely filled an entire several gallon bucket full of mature compost (that i siftef from my progress containers), the substrate i have left is a lot and very unfinished. The only positives i got out of this mass death so early into this season are bitter learning lessons and less worry abt winterizing the buckets for the larvae's survival (morbid, i know lol).

But nicely enough, adult BSFs still come to visit my buckets (and land on me lol) and lay their eggs. Sunny summer season wont be over for another at least 3-4 months here, so im not losing hope. Even the death of the larvae has attracted to much life to the buckets (housefly larvae love the gross bits the BSF larvae didnt eat, and many little bettles and other creatures are abound).

so i found my mother’s copy of the jw (new world translation) bible and i decided to yoink that shit for disposal but not before i realized there is a lot of lines highlighted in the book from when she was being manipulated by the jw lady that convinced her to do “bible study” for years. and what do you know if the lines the lady had my mother highlight weren’t the same lines that jws use to justify their cult beliefs! all the lines are cherry picked, no actual study, just the lady manipulating and priming her to accept their beliefs by presenting so called “biblical proof.” so here is some of the things that stand out before i finally rip this thing to shreds and through it away.

literally the whole book replaces every instance of the tetagrammaton with “jehovah” because they want people to believe its been “removed from the bible thousands of times because they don’t want you to know the true name of god”. the whole thing is translated with an agenda to make them look right and everyone else wrong and to make people believe they have some secret hidden knowledge (they don’t they’re liars). putting this under a read more because its very long.

the imago dei part of genesis to try and convince her that humans were super special to god

genesis chapter 3, the serpent convincing eve to eat the fruit of knowledge so that she would accept their version of the original sin doctrine and that women are cursed

chapter where cain kills abel to convince her that this was the first murder in human history (obviously incorrect)

highlighted the part where god kills everything on earth with a flood to groom her into expecting god to do it again later and seen as fair and just and part where god “gives” noah every living creature (because fuck other organisms apparently)

part of leviticus where (in their version) theyre like “no soul must eat blood” (what the fuck) to justify not allowing life saving blood transfusions

deuteronomy part about “jehovah being one” to justify being non trinitarian (they don’t believe jesus is god or that the holy spirit is god, this is meant to lure people who are already christians away from their denoms and into theirs)

“thou shall not kill” is highlighted for some reason and i don’t know why

highlighted job 1:12 to emphasize that they believe satan is in control of the world because god allows it and job 26:7 that has a note saying “the earth hangs there” when talking about sheol to convince her of where earth is relative to “heaven” and using a bunch of “face of the waters” creationist language to make it vague as possible. job 27:5 to make her believe that “no one is righteous” and that saying so is sinful

part in psalms that assures that “wicked people will be no more if you just wait a little while longer” (this is the apocalypse imminent narrative they use to groom people with fear of dying or leaving but also to get them warmed up to the idea of mass death). “the righteous will inherit the earth and live forever” narrative so they believe that jws will live on earth forever after being resurrected while everyone else (whos not a jw) is killed by god

psalms 91 to drive home the fact that these people think theyre invincible in every meaning of the word, to natural disasters and disease etc

proverbs 6 part about “false witnesses”. jws believe that three jehovah’s witnesses have to be present to verify that a crime (like domestic or sexual abuse) actually happened or the governing body and elders don’t care. literally. the “false witness” narrative is used against survivors and people they want to silence in their organization and emphasizes how much jehovah hates “false witnesses” aka people brave enough to talk and victims

proverbs 12:18 about “wise and unwise tongues”, basically anyone that speaks out against the jws are “unwise” and harmful

proverbs 22 about raising children (”train up a child”, if you don’t know it already this is a child abuser dog whistle) that implies that indoctrination will last until adulthood if done right. this is especially bad because this copy is from the early 2000s when i was in kindergarten. this woman had been lurking on us since i was an infant.

proverbs 27 about how neighbors near is better than brothers far away. the implication here is that fundamentally family who aren’t jws don’t matter

matthew 16:24, meant to convince people to leave everything behind and join the jws, “disown yourself” aka “die to yourself” toxic bullshit repackaged

matthew 19:9, to convince people that divorce even in instances of domestic abuse is wrong because the governing body won’t allow it and loves to control women

matthew 24:4-14, “anyone who doesnt speak for the jws is a false prophet” and warms people up to the notion that war is necessary; also that evidence of war is a sign of the “last days” and that this is supposed to be good news. ongoing war and the hope for global genocide is “good news” to them.

matthew 24:21. this one is meant to make people feel the apocalypse could happen at any time and to be afraid of it, a great war is coming and only the “chosen ones” (jehovah’s witnesses) will survive when everyone else dies. there’s a paper bookmark on this page. makes me wonder.

mark 8:34. the “die to yourself” bullshit, the idea that the cross was a “torture stake” because jws believe that wearing crosses is idolatry and they want other people to believe their quirky beliefs so they accept heavier things

matthew 10:28, “anyone who follows jehovah and jesus will literally live forever!” but also that “no one is prepared to leave their family for jesus and thats shameful because you should want to sacrifice your entire family!”

mark 11:24 “anything you pray for earnestly you get”. this is spiritual bypassing btw. and :25 “ask for forgiveness and be automatically forgiven no matter what you did” is also fucked

matthew 15-23: jesus (almost) gets wasted while being crucified etc, not sure why this one is highlighted unless im missing some jw bullshit here

luke 20:27. don’t understand this one but they’re threatening “heavier judgement” on people

john 5:28, promising resurrection through jesus after people die but only for the Good tm people (the jws)

john 6:15. how jesus is about to be arrested but goes to a mountain. dunno why this on is underlined

john 11:24. bringing home the same “jesus will save you from dying if youre a jw” bullshit. john 14:6 “jesus is the ONLY way ever! there can’t be anything else except jesus” indoctrination tailored to make you co-dependent. john 17:3, hook line and sinker of promising resurrection and “eternal life” again

corinthians 6:9 (nice but not so nice this time) “anyone we don’t like won’t inherit the earth” translation: anyone we don’t like won’t survive the apocalypse thats definitely happening soon so always be afraid. “homosexuals” are changed to “men kept for unnatural purposes for this one.” still homophobic.

corinthians 7:6, the idea that everyone has a gift that needs to be exploited and used by the jws

corinthians 15:33. “don’t participate in any activities with any outsiders because it will lead you away from jehovah!! fun is ‘drunkenness’, you’ll loose your resurrection if you do!! non jw people are bad influences!!”

2 corinthians 7:1. your body and flesh is defiled, you need to be cleansed in order to be good

galatians 5:20. “having human emotions is sinful! struggling is sinful! being angry is sinful! having a bad day is sinful!” basically that being human is inherently wrong or something

ephesians  3:14. tries to make people believe everything is owed to god only and that obedience is good so they fall for cult power structures later. 4:28 here is just the top of the page being labeled “new personality” and thats all we need to know about indoctrination and cult personality vs actual personality. also “let not the sun set with you in a provoked state” being used against people still angry about being wronged and hurt by others and its been used against me a lot of times

ephesians 6:4. make sure the jw fathers provide the most discipline to children, literally uses the phrase “mental regulating of jehovah”. it couldn’t be more cult like at this point.

timothy 5:8 makes people believe that men alone are expected to provide and if they don’t they’re worse than “those without faith”. no pressure though!

timothy 6:19. wants people to neglect everything actually happening in favor of the “real life” (”eternal life”) instead and to constantly prepare for that instead of actually living life. dedicate your whole life to jw activities

titus 2. women need to be subjects to their husbands but also homemakers, live to glorify their husband, chaste and definitely not mentally ill or showing any symptoms. what the fuck is titus i never heard of this shit until today.

hebrews 1:7-14, trying to convince people that angels live to serve god but also has some superseccsionist/replacement theology (antisemitism) vibes going on

james 2:23, wants people to believe that god “putting people to the test” is actually a way to become “jehovah’s friend” and that being put to the test (read: suffering) is actually a good thing because it primes them to accept suffering as their fault later on. james 4:7 “everything evil will vanish if you rebuke it long enough!!”

peter 3:9 the “god’s timing is always right” gospel bs and encourages people not to do things themselves but to wait and also that jehovah will be on time when its time to start another global genocide. how encouraging! peter 3:13, the same “end of world near” scare tactic, “new heavens new earth” promise to eradicate everyone the jws dont like as that is jehvoah’s “promise” to the witnesses

Grandson of Who, the What?

(Spoilers for CotIG) Hold up! We’ve been introduced to the old Regent of the Archipelago. Gilgamesh. Among his titles include: King of Uruk, King of Sumer, Slayer of the World Serpent, and Blood of the First Born. But one other title he mentions that catches my interest is ‘Grandson of Nimrod the Maker’. What I find interesting here is related to Nimrod’s identity. See we find out in the Prologue of the First Dragon that Nimrod (dude who Built The Tower of Babel and stuff) is one of many names taken on by the Archimago. Other names being Prospero and Edgar Allan Poe. With his first name being....Cain. The Maker bit is also of interest. Since of the Two Brothers Cain and Abel, Archimago and Imago respectively, Cain was only a Namer and his jealousy of Abel in CotIG came from Abel being a Maker. So to have Cain/Poe, as Nimrod be a Maker, capital M and all, is certainly something of note. Cool. So the Archimago became both Maker and Namer! Amazing. Make of this what you will. CotIG and Riordan verse thoughts again...

I wonder if Laura Glue would technically be allowed into Camp Halfblood given her Grandfather holds the title of the Pan...I mean it’d be justification enough so that the trio of Rose, Archimedes, and Laura Glue end up there while others (Charles, Edmund, Poe(Chronos), and Houdini?) end up elsewhere. Well maybe Houdini to? I can’t remember if he was mentioned in passing as being a Demigod or Magician.. Point is, Imagine what Fun Rose and Laura Glue would have participating in some CHB capture the flag. Hephaestus cabin losing their minds over Archimedes. All CotIG characters (except maybe Poe?) mistaking Chiron for Charys at least once. Someone from the Hecate cabin and someone from Brooklyn House being familiar with Charles’ work. Charles ending up at Rick Riordan’s doorstep and trying to figure out the state of the world and where everyone else is (Road trip!). Also Charles being chased by The Furies or somesuch since Charles Williams is supposed to be dead. The same possibly happening to Rose, Poe, and maybe Houdini? It depends I guess on how the Universe recognizes Poe...which is an odd statement. Poe making such a horrible impression with the House of Life (given his stated opinion on Chaos, and his proficiency with Storm magic(among others) that he’s mistaken as a Villian and every Nome is on the lookout for a guy who looks sorta like Edgar Allan Poe but has Green Glasses on that make him somehow not Edgar Allan Poe. Also going by the name Chronos or Poe... Rose and Laura Glue fighting monsters (which everyone blames on some Evil magician that Carter warned Percy about). Echthroi involved somehow but probably not? Poe getting recognized by a slew of other names (with at least one person recognizing him as Cain oddly enough). Possibly meeting the Cain of the Riordanverse (if there is one?) Various character interactions. Rose and Anabeth. Rose and Leo and Hazel (being in different times and what not). A great dislike of Prophecies. Laura Glue getting along with the Hunters of Artemis. Flat out rejects even the hint of joining them (being from another universe and in a happy wonderful relationship). Laura Glue being reminded of Haven with how dinner works at CHB (Haven food being better of course). Gets sad when Anabeth brings up Daedalus....then has a heartfelt talk with Rose and one of the Riordan characters about Uncles. Caliburn and the Ruby Dagger probably work on Monsters just as well as Celestial Bronze? Edmund working on Mapping all the Mythological aspects of the Riordan verse for the Interdimensional Geographica (what’s a fancy way to say Many Worlds or Dimensional?) CotIG characters having a wonderful reunion when they all finally meet up again (big group hug with the Young Magicians). Poe meeting up with Various Gods...because. Houdini is involved somehow. Edmund making first (or second after Poe) Contact with the Kane Chronicles Characters...not that he’s Magical...he just runs into them. Probably Hm...I’m just realized that the only one whose regular outfit doesn’t stick out is Charles...and even then a Blue suit with Burgandy Hair is still pretty striking. But anyway Edmund meeting Carter somehow and they both get along being huge Nerds each chatting with the other about their respective interests, about their respective responsibilities vaugely (Cartographer of Lost Places and Pharaoh of the House of Life respectively) and Carter just invinting him over to hang out. Everyone taking note of his accent. Sadie thinking ‘finally someone who knows all my slang’ with Edmund still being fairly confused about some of it...and everyone deciding Edmund needs better Threads...so Shopping! They got away from me there. What was I saying. Percy noting how awesome Rose’s blue hair is (assuming she hasn’t dyed it something else by the point) Wondering how quickly they’d explain ‘we are from another universe and are here for reasons’! Or if they’d keep that secret for some reason. I could see Percy badmouthing Circe at some point in earshot of Rose and while their technically not the same Circe, that’s Rose’s surrogate Aunt you’re badmouthing Percy! Caliburn vs Riptide...would be cool. Probably would be fairly even? Unless they end up by a river or lake...don’t know if Rose’s Imago capabilities of bending Space and Time carry over. Rose and Laura Glue having battles of Wit with Anabeth. I’m unfortunately blanking on most of the Heroes of Olympus characters. Poe mistaken for a returned Chronos? Wait...Kronos was completely destroyed st the end of the Last Olympian right? I forget..it’s been ages. But considered a threat by the Gods (given his ability to Name and Bind them still) and the Greek characters are told he’s a threat (though the Naming and Binding is left out so Rose and company don’t immediately realize its Poe) There’d probably be some actual villainous party...but I don’t know. And of course literary references about and arguments over Greek Myths (mostly Rose, Charles, and Laura Glue forgetting they’re in a different dimension where those myths went different then how they went where they’re from). Poe finding Charles before Charles finds Edmund Wait...I just realized...the Anabasis Machines double as Comunication devices right? Or wait...no that’s not right is it? The Cabal’s had that cool Hologram stuff...but I can’t remember if the Caretakers’ Watches also has those... Maybe said communication just isn’t working for some reason? Dimensional laws interfering or something... Also Rose challenging Thor in place of Jesus (since I know at least the thing about Thor wanting to fight Jesus or something) I digress. If any Scowlers who know more about the Riordan verse (or whatever it’s called) have any thoughts on the matter, do share. I’m certain they’ll be much better than my Ramblings (sincere here. Pondering CotIG/Pokemon thing again.

Just watched one of my favorite YouTube Reviewer people continue one of those Nuzlocke thingamajigs. And since I just about always have CotIG on mind...here’s some other thoughts...which might be a bit scattered and have probably been said before? But I digress. Was pondering the Young Magicians (Sans Fred...sorry Fred) and the types they’d primarily use. Laura Glue was the easiest, primarily Flying and Faerie types( because Peter Pan and stuff). Possibly with a Grass type Starter. Edmund was a bit Trickier. One thought was Water and Steel (because of the Pirate Background). Then I thought how’d be a good way to reflect the different locales he no doubt is familiar with because of his Cartography. So perhaps all six are different places. Water, Grass(maybe a Bug type?), Something you’d find in a Cave, A normal type (for Cities and towns and stuff), an Ice Type sort, and....not sure on the last one. Electric because he was taught by Franklin? Is there a Kite Pokemon? Not sure. Rose...also a bit more tricky. Probably mostly Dragon? With hat one Sword Pokemon because that’s cool. I’m not sure what sort of Pokémon could represent her position as Imago...Perhaps Imagos (if that would be a thing in this thing where CotIG characters are Transplanted into Pokémon) inherit Celebi or some such? Maybe? Just to round things out...might have a Fire Starter. Aven likely focuses on Water types also with the Sword Pokémon, and at least one Dragon sort (Kingdra Maybe?). Also.... the Indigo Dragon is itself a Gym...don’t know about the other Dragon Ships...could see Charys as a Gym Leader, and Nemo. and Eledair and Faladay Finn of course....Don’t know about Uruk Ko though....maybe just Aven as a Gym Leader. Come to think of it...has the been a Gym that’s of no connection to any particular city? Just moving around? Unless Aven would I guess be the Gym Leader of Parlon (Paralon?) The Animals are certainly something to ponder. I mean...would they just remain Badgers and Foxes and Ferrets (Oh My!). Or would they be Pokémon walking and talking and wearing Clothes sans Pants? Are there Badger Influenced Pokémon ? I digress. Back to the Gym ideas. Tamerlane House as a Gym is quite a Pickle. Poe’s the leader of course. But I’m fairly certain the rest of the Caretakers Emeritus wouldn't all have the same Type(s) as Poe. Shakespeare and Spenser for example would have mainly Faerie types. Bacon (assuming he’s around) would use a Steel and Electric. Andersen with Water and Faerie. Jacob with Faerie...Dumas...well I heard there’s some Legendary Pokémon influenced by the Three Musketeers...and it’d be Hilarious if you just have Alexandre Dumas Peres with half of his team being Legendaries. Ha! Jamie with Faerie and Flying like Laura Glue. And I don’t know about Twain... Then you’ve got Poe. I’m not sure about Poe. If he were just one or two...probably focus on Dark and Ghost. Maybe Fire. And then there’s what to actually reference with his Pokémon. To my knowledge there’s no Raven Pokémon (although there’s a lot of Crows. Hm..Tamerlane House full of Honchcrows you have to battle and can’t catch). But do you go with just Poe’s Work. Or do you include Prospero and Nimrod and stuff? Like two things to represent his work as Poe, two to represent Caliban and Ariel, and something to ultimately represent Cain and his role as Archimago? He’s got to have that big Balloon Pokémon. No question about that. Maybe one of those Fire Horses to represent (looks up story name) Metzengerstein? Something that knows Hypnosis for the Case of M. Valdemar? A Potential Crossover with CotIG, which includes a Crossover of Mythological scope.

So I’ve brought this up a lot. Might as well brainstorm and what not about potential Crossovers. I’ve already gone on about Harry Potter, and Kingdom Hearts in earlier posts. I earlier this morning remembered another Fandom that could work quite well Crossing over with CotIG. I am speaking of the works of Rick Riordan. The Percy Jackson series of books, the Kane Chronicles, and that Norse Mythology one that I haven’t read, but have heard good things about. The first question to ask is When. Most likely during the time period of one of Riordan’s series, or possibly after one or two. Definitely after the Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series. Now. Another question is, will this be a direct crossover in that they are existing in the same universe along side each other, or in separate universes. The First is simplest. Now for what happens. Likely something involving the Riordan side of things is going on in the Summer Country, which is having effects in the Archipelago. So Much So that the Caretakers need to deal with it on both fronts. Poe speaks up (seeming to have some knowledge about this whole situation), and advises that the Present Caretakers deal with the Archipelago side of things while Poe, Rose, and Charles deal with the Summer Country side of things. On a side note, I’m guessing at the time of Riordan’s books (2010s and such) Rose probably looks to be in her mid twenties or so. Given she will probably have a ridiculously long Life span like her Father, Mother, and Uncle. So Poe, Rose, accompanied by Archimedes (on Poe’s instruction), and probably Charles (just because. Charles is great). They head off to the Summer Country by way of Shakespeare’s Bridge. At Oxford they meet with the current Caretakers who cross the. Bridge so they might deal with things in the Archipelago. Then the group meets with one of the Present Mystorians who has an idea of what’s going on. One Doctor Riordan. After discussing with Dr Riordan, Rose is filled in about Camp Half Blood, the House of Life and so on. With the realization that this is a conflict large enough to involve the Imago they basically decide they’ll need to visit CHB, The First Nome and so on to figure out just what the hell is happening. First stop is CHB. They get there, with only Rose, Poe, and Archimedes getting through. Charles isn’t allowed in. Poe goes to meet with the people in running Camp Half Blood, while Rose and Archie do a bit of exploring. Rose meets some of the Protagonists of The Percy Jackson series, and ends up involved in a sparring match, followed by Capture the Flag. After that, Poe and Chiron show up along with Mister D. Introductions are made. When Poe introduces himself as Chronos Campers become Hostile. Poe then re introduces himself as Poe, and whatever name he went by during time in Ancient Greece (because of course he was someone other than Caine or Prospero at the time). When they reach the House of Life (with The Seven joining them probably) via the Argo II, again misunderstandings arise. Poe is recognized as somebody else (when other people aren’t recognizing him as Poe), and we learn Poe has had a history of sorts with the House of Life (no, Poe is not Moses...probably. I’m guessing not?)... And no other actual ideas. It would just be interesting to have Rose and Archie involved given their connections to Ancient Greece and Greek Myth. Not too mention Rose’s role as Imago how that is seen. And including Poe and Charles is mostly because they are awesome, and with Poe Identities prior to Prospero can be explored...As to why I just spout these ideas instead of writing said fics I discuss......well.....I don’t know if I have an answer to that other than poor writing. (SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST DRAGON) The House of Tamerlane.....huh....I wonder,

So, as mentioned a while ago I did some re reading of the Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series. Specifically the First Dragon, and one thing just hit me. Dee refers to Tamerlane House as ‘The House of Tamerlane’. I began to wonder...could Poe be Tamerlane? I remembered he wrote a Poem by that name, though I haven’t read it in a long time. None the less, I looked up the name Tamerlane and found who the guy was. It seems Tamerlane was Timur, a Turkic ruler and conqueror. Lived from 1370 to 1405. Founded the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia. Conqueror and Emperor, Muslim. From a brief glance the question that followed was, does this match up? Why would Cain (Or Melchior or Judas and or John, or whoever) become Timur (Timur the Lame....Tamerlane). Would that be a benefit in his attempt to find a new Imago and aid the Caretakers? Seeing that as not matching up, I looked over synopses of the Poem. Basically a factionalized story about Tamerlane giving up his love for a Peasant Ada (likely referencing Ada Lovelace who Poe admired) for power and his regret over that. Okay....that still leaves questions about Tamerlane House. To be honest, I am quite curious as to why it is Tamerlane House, and not perhaps modeled after the more recognizable House of Usher. Then again that fell into ruin and decay so.... Does Tamerlane House hold any connection to The historical Tamerlane? Might Poe have been said conqueror? If so, why? And why Tamerlane for Poe’s House? I mean, I doubt Poe would name it after the Asylum in his story the System of Doctor Tar and Professor Feather...I also remember that tidbit about Hank being a Sultan at one point, but I digress.
