Heyyyoooo! So I just came across your snippet about bishova running away for third baby birth and it was very cute. Had noooo idea the context but garnered actress Kate Bishop, 11/10. Scrolled through what I prayed was the tag for like 30-40 minutes trying to figure out what on earth "bih-gow" (as I affectionately referred to it) was. Anyway, all this to say, I'm hooked on the bodyguard au and I have very little context, and I was wondering if you might be able to help me figure out how to find the beginning - or close enough to it - since it seems to only be on this lovely disaster of a hellsite <3 (I'm tumblr born and bred but holy damn the search function has always been a demon to deal with)

There’s a ton of AUs and they each have their own tag. KYBGAU just stands for "Kate x Yelena BodyGuard AU" lol. All of them are just initials for each AU. KYFBAU is "Frat Boy AU". KYMAU is "(single) Mom AU". Etc etc etc. Each of them have a main tag (for example: kyfbau) and a subtag for all of the important canon things which is just "p" after the main tag name for "prompt" (so: kyfbaup). But it just eventually became a catchall for anything I consider vital for the logic of the story. The AUs are all non-chronological one-shots. So really all you have to do is scroll back to the oldest post in the "p" tag for each and read in reverse order. So for BGAU all you should have to do to get any context you need is go to the "kybgaup" tag and read from oldest to newest. Hope that helps!

i keep mistaking some of ur kidxelqua art for ur grian art so i have to stop and read the captions/tags every time 😭😭 is there a fundamental difference im missing that would make it any easier

hi !!!!!!! no i understand it can be pretty confusing !! its pretty messy on my blog ahahah i'll try to explain them and their place in the AU

All the kid drawings are Xelqua ! Originally it was Grian, but as the character Xelqua developed, I changed it to him. When people send requests for kid Grian, i'm drawing Xelqua, as that is the AU.

This isn't 100% accurate as I forget to do it, but Grian and Xelqua part their hair differently, kid Xelqua does too. Xelqua's hair is always a bit longer. (Grian got a haircut when he joined the Watchers, thats why his hair parts different now in evoAU and HC, he just kept it shorter ! Xelqua used to wear his hair in a ponytail during his time with the Watchers.)

The reason why i say they're "technically the same" is bc Xelqua is just another Grian from a different timeline, he just has a different name. Xelqua only exists because this one Grian joined the Watchers, new possibilités opened new timelines, ones where he died, ones where he's a Listener instead, or ran away to different servers, or stayed. Xelqua is the only one to have reached Sainthood.

Because of this, Xelqua can hop around timelines, he usually just bugs other versions of himself, helping them, giving them tnt. He finds This Grian during s8 of HC, bugging him through the boatem void, briefly possessing him later, but hey ! water under the bridge !

Xelqua's timeline doesn't exist anymore after becoming That, but by becoming That he has essentially rewritten history in other timelines, solidifying himself as a saint of destruction, a destroyer, this is what the Watchers know him as, this is what evo Grian knew him as, even if Grian caused it--It already happened--Xelqua has always been here. (It makes Grian's head hurts when Xelqua explains this to him.)

Basically: Grian set off a chain reaction when he joined the Watchers, and that opened new universes, and in doing that, Xelqua is made.

Xelqua is powerful, but also very lonely and has a lot wrong with him, which is expected he spent many years with the Watchers. Xelqua can mimic any version of Grian he wants, but if he stays in that form for too long, he'll start to forget himself and instead think "Xelqua" is a patron, rather than himself. This is why kid Xelqua will usually praise the Saint Xelqua and be proud of his own name, he just doesn't know ! It takes a little while to remember himself and change back. This also happens in high stress, (bc of course it does, i love when a character loses control of their powers hahaha,) the memory is much worse if it happens from stress. You can't talk kid Xelqua out of this, it'll stress him out further and you'll just have a little god child throwing a temper tantrum then, never a good idea.

After s8 in HC EvoAU, Xelqua hangs around, popping up sometimes in s9, mostly in his adult watcher self. They don't get along too well at first, Xelqua has a little bit of bitterness over Grian having such a fun life, all these friends, needed, wanted..... But whatever ! Xisuma doesn't know how he keeps getting in, but Xelqua has been on good behaviour, so...... Shrug... Just let him visit sometimes....

Xelqua's version of the Watchers are gone, the unfortunate conséquences of becoming a destroyer, you kinda rip your own timeline apart. This, added with the fact that he is a cautionary tale in every other reality to Watchers, means if he tries to visit other versions of his Watcher family, they won't really know who he is, and just see something destructive and chaotic. If he wants to see Aether, he'll just... hop in a timeline and change himself into a kid and quickly forget what he's done. He's lonely, ok !!

Xelqua starts doing this kid bit on HC (late s9/early s10) too, he doesn't exactly mean to, but he does feel safe there. He eats Grian's food and takes over his couch and no one can get mad at him bc he is just a little kid--grian puts him in the corner. timeout. a few dead birds hit the roof as a result.

I'm gonna hold your hand while I say this - if you think an existing, loved and respected system for somthing should be changed because it could be confusing for new fans I do not think you are aware that you hold the power to literally research every information you get. You can spend literally 1 minute researching the rider and checking their championships on Wikipedia. It's not that hard. It's not much. It's not too much to ask.

When you get into a new sport or field, you will get confused at first. You will read information that was written for an audience already familiar with the subject. You cannot expect people, blogs, journalists, news papers, social media admins, to explain the absolute basics over and over and over again. It would be annoy for them and fans familiar with the subject. (and yes for you too after understanding the system)

Research comes with being interested in new stuff. It's normal. It's part of the learning progress. So do your fucking research. Ask fan who have been into it for longer. Respect the established way and do not demand a change because it's "confusing" just because you don't know how to use the internet and expect that everything is written so you can understand with little to no context.

I want to rant about Psychonauts (2) again. I promise I love the first game too I just really like the second game right now. Spoilers under the cut.

Maybe I’m just reading way too far between the lines here but Helmut really, REALLY knows his husband. It is SO important to me that Audie is the way he is.

1.) He’s blue. Helmut has synesthesia, or we assume so after using clairvoyance on him. It is very likely that Helmut associates the colors that he’s paired with the members of Feast with the members of the Psychic Six (Seven).

Blue represents tranquility (think of a garden), trust, protection, reliability. In Hinduism, blue is a color associated with Krishna, who represents love and divine joy.

However, it’s also associated most commonly with loneliness and sadness. And water. Think of Bob’s Bottles— how he’s stranded on an island of his own making. Think of how Bob was after Helmut’s “death”. Helmut knows, subconsciously, that Bob is out there, waiting for him, alone.

2.) He’s a drummer. I don’t study music or anything, but I’ve been playing instruments since I was a little kid, and anyone who plays, likes, writes, or listens to music knows that the drums keep everything together.

They have to be reliable, focused, and not let any outside factors sway or affect their ability to keep time. That doesn’t mean percussionists aren’t fun or anything, in fact, the best percussionists keep their time correctly and know how to keep things simple while also making it fun. They don’t steal the show with crazy fills, they don’t distract the other members by being hard to follow. They are in the background until they’re called forth for a solo, but background doesn’t mean boring. It fits Bob’s introverted nature.

In short, Audie being a percussionist is perfect. Equate the drum to Helmut’s metaphorical heart and we’ve got a cheesy greeting card in the making.

3.) He’s an ear. The most important sense for a musician to have unless you’re Beethoven, and the most important aspect of a relationship. To communicate, to be heard truly and to have your needs met, is to be loved properly, and Helmut’s mental image of Bob shows, at least to me, that the two were very open and communicative with one another.

Or, as an introvert, Bob was the listening ear for his husband. I understand the need to rant and ramble —I’m doing it right now— and to have someone willing to sit and listen is heavenly.

All this is to say that Helmut’s view of Bob is so darn sweet and I just love how he’s like ‘yeah my husband’s a self-isolating introvert but he’s also the best thing to ever happen to me.’

Also I audibly laughed when I saw how the Feast of the Senses’ color palette was ✨rainbow✨.

I know rainbows are hippie things too and that Helmut (and probably the rest of them if you look closely) is literally the dictionary definition of weed-smoking acid-tripping anti-violence hippie but COME ON.

Guys I’m really worried about the Zombies, Run! news, it sucks that a bunch of Six to Start staff are being laid off but what does that mean for the app? That’s what I’m worrying about, it’s an awful situation but what’s going on? Will I still be able to run with the app? I really hope so it’s literally the only thing that gets me to exercise.

Maybe I’m stupid (likely) but I feel like Gojo resembling Toji in his battle with Megumi!Sukuna is trying to show that he is a paternal figure in Megumi’s life. Like the two different sides of Megumi’s male paternal figures (or I guess the two most consistent male adult figures in Megumi’s life)??? I don’t buy that Gojo was a father figure for Tsumiki and Megumi (to me he was more like Spencer from ICarly lmao) but like…i feel like the outfit similarity is trying to say something about their relationship on a familial or paternal scale…but im too dumb to fully phrase this how i want so maybe just ponder on this for me hahaha
