Not My Coop Not My Poop
Y'all this release called Sassy Chickens from Kat Scrappiness is so funny.
For this card I used the Hen House dies. I chose a dark muted green for the hen house and a muted pink for the details. I did do light shading on all the die cuts. The middle piece of the entryway does get cut out so I just used some washi tape to added it back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the sentiment I used the Sassy Chickens stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with a light medium brown onto some cream colored cardstock. I then use the Sassy Chickens coordinating dies to cut out the sentiment. Then just popped it up with some foam tape. Directly glued the whole thing onto a A2 cardbase.

And so often they give the cool, out there, kinda jank but interesting things to these sets. I’ve talked about it before but the rad counters from the fallout set are genuinely really interesting and thematic as hell. I think they know the sets are essentially disposable, so they allow for more creativity from the game designers. If something works, they keep it and add it to future sets. But by anchoring it in a UB set, they’re making the cardbase for that mechanic inextricably tied to whatever ip that set was for. You can’t make a rad counter deck without the cards from fallout.
making universes beyond a central inescapable tentpole of mtg's business model seems ill advised for longevity. like, sure, the data shows it brings in new fans. that's good! but how long are those fans gonna last when the thing that broughjt them in isnt gonna hapepn again. like if you're a new magic fan and you came in on a ravnica set and you really liked niv-mizzet then you could keep playing and be reasonably assured you would see niv mizzet again, and more dragons and wizards and guilds and shit. if you're drawn into mtg on the spiderman set because you love spiderman then tough shit buddy because after Marvel Block is over we're doing the The Office set and youre never seeing spiderman again

Sparkling Strawberries Keepsake
Hello y'all! So today I have a fun keepsake card using Kat Scrappiness Products. You are probably wondering what a keepsake card is. Well the front of the card the keepsake part is not adhered to the card. Instead you will be able to take it off and use it a little decor piece. How fun is that?!
So first I will tell you all the products I used for this keepsake card. They are all from Kat Scrappiness.
Supplies bellow: ⬇️
Berry Sweet Stamp Set, Berry Sweet coordinating dies, Love is in the Air stencil, Berry Sweet Pattern Paper, Stitched Scalloped Heart Dies, Juicy Red Strawberry Sprinkles, and Brilliant Blush II sequin mix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the Berry Sweet coordinating dies they have a dipped chocolate die that I knew I wanted to use. Instead of the standard brown cardstock I decided to zhuzh it up. So I cut it out of brown cardstock and then I applied a fun sequin mix using clear glitter glue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While that was drying and I diecut and stamped the strawberries out. I did a tone on tone for these. I cut off the tops of the strawberries. Once the chocolate part was dried I glued them on the strawberries.
Tumblr media
I used the largest of the stitched scalloped heart die to cut out a piece of the Berry Sweet pattern paper. I then stenciled on the Love is in the Air with some pink ink.
Tumblr media
I stamped out the sentiment from the Berry Sweet stamp set onto the same red cardstock as the strawberries. I also used the same red ink and stamped it several times. Then I cut the individual words out and arranged them around where the strawberries would be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the two bigger strawberries I used a very thin foam tape and the smallest one I used just a regular foam dot. I placed the smallest strawberry first and then tucked in the other ones behind it.
Tumblr media
I added some of the Brilliant Blush II sequins around and then added the Juicy Red Strawberries sprinkles on top of them.
Tumblr media
I cut out another piece of pattern paper with that same size die and glued it behind. Do this step BEFORE adding everything on the front. This was a last minute decision.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the A2 cardbase I used the Love Is In The Air stencil and what ink was left on my blending brush to give a light background. I opened the cardbase and on the front flap I cut just a little notch out in the middle. This is where the keepsake heart will be held. I hole punch a hole in the center top of the heart and tied some dark pink twine. I first positioned the heart where I wanted on the front and held it in place. Then flipped the card over and secure the string with some washi tape.
Tumblr media
Now the recipient will be able to take the heart off and use it as a decor piece to hang.

Celebrate Sunflowers
Hi Stampers. Who’s ready for a bright and cheery sunflower card?  Today  we Celebrate Sunflowers with an easy fun fold card. I did a very similar card last week.  You can see that by clicking HERE. This card starts with a Garden Green cardbase, 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 4-1/4″.  Next, I cut off half of the card front (at 2-3/4″) and turned it 90 degrees. The two card front pieces were covered in…
