It was nearing towards the end of the sunset as Kylee was taking the last few hits of her joint, watching the gorgeous sunset as she did so. The sky was a mix of orange, red with some pink in there too. Carter was meeting her there and they were going to spend the evening together, no certain plans confirmed yet so the night was their adventure. She looked over her shoulder just in time to see her boyfriend approaching and she smiled at him. "Hey sexy, wanna take a hit before I finish it off?" She asked, holding the joint up towards him figuring he would sit down beside her.

Even though things felt awkward and weird between them, Kylee was looking forward to getting caught up with Carter. She pulled out her phone from her pocket to look up their options for places. "Maybe we could go to Sea Shanty or Tejas for drinks?" She suggested, happy with going to either of those places. "Tejas does have the best margaritas in town," she teasingly pointed out before running her fingers through her hair and looking up at him with a smile. "I've been doing well, thanks. The holidays were kinda crazy, but I got to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Just been keepin' it low, working...nothing too crazy. How about you?" @carter-harris

Carter felt a bit awkward in all this, especially knowing he was the one who ruined things between them, but at least he was trying to mend things now.. right? “Yeah, we can do that. Drinks sound really nice right now. How, uh.. how’ve you been?”

Cami couldn't help the scoff of a chuckle that left her lips at Carter's words, even as her blue hues rolled while she took a sip of her latte. It was a bit of a surprise to see him here considering how big the city was, but this was also one of the best cafe's there was, and she didn't think he settled for less than the best of much. Plus, it wasn't like she didn't remember the fun they'd had the other night when they'd met at that party. "You do know it's possible for two people to enjoy the same cafe, right?" she quipped, though the smirk on her lips was playful. "If you're hard up for money, you can just say so." she teased, her smirk widening as she raised her hand for one of the baristas to come take their order.

"You know, if you wanted to get my autograph, you could have just asked. Stalking isn't nearly as sexy." Carter rarely remembered people, especially when he met them while he was drinking but she had been a bit hard to forget. And running into her at a cafe just days after the party he had been at felt a bit too small world. Or maybe that was what he had told himself. He took a seat across from her, happy that he was more sober and cleaned up than the last time. "But I suppose if you are stalking me then the least you could do is buy me an espresso."

"Felt like ages since we've properly hung out. Cisco hasn't been turning you against me, has he?" Amayah mused, knowing that for Francisco, it was always an instant feeling of panic since she was able to pry anything out of him. Of course she was joking, and she was aware that Carter had been pivotal after Lexi's failed engagement. Amayah felt she had to step up as the oldest sibling in town, though had herself occupied with a lot, like planning her own wedding, finding a job, among other things. "Did you make this yourself or did you order in?" Amayah inquired, thoroughly enjoying the salad she had on her plate. @carterfontenelle

Misbah acknowledges that Lucas went through a traumatic experience but it seems like she's weaponizing that against him and Dillon.

I mean, she's mostly pointing out that that trauma manifested in both self harm and violence - and a lot of things she doesnt even know about - and doesn't want dillon to be put at risk of any of that again. I think she probably feels guilty that she couldn't protect him from that and she's trying to now but it's too late because hayray are stubborn teenage boys who are in love with each other.

lying on the blanket her grandmother had made for her when she was young looking up at the dark sky with no cloud in sight sam wondered if she could see any of the planets she had been to. one of these bright spots in the sky must be one of the planets. she wished she could talk to more people about it. sure her father knew about everything and she could talk to him about everything she has experienced, but it wasn’t the same as talking to her friends and others close to her. looking up at the sky she knew what was up there…some not all good, but that was something she would rather not think about when looking up at the stars.

"Hey babe, remember when I told you that I bought a new dress for our fancier date nights?" Kylee asked as she walked out of her room and into the living room to stand in front of Carter as he was lounging on the couch. "I finally decided to try it on again and I love it and I wanted to show you," she grinned, giving him a slow enough spin knowing exactly where his eyes were going to linger most on her body.

Of course Kylee was nervous standing there talking to Carter; they haven't spoke since they broke up so it felt natural to be nervous. She still cared a lot about him and she figured he still cared for her as well. When he spoke about her being with Keanu now, she nodded and brushed some of her curls out of her face. "Yeah, we've been together for a couple months now," she told him, really trying her best not to make it seem like she was bragging. "Are you seeing anyone?" She asked, genuinely not knowing.

She looked away to see Driftwood down the street and she bit down on her lower lip gently. Maybe this could turn into a sit down talk, but she wasn't going to put that pressure on him. If they kept things to a minimum, so be it. @carter-harris

Carter hated the way his pulse quickened and his palms instantly felt sweaty. He told himself it shouldn’t matter since he and Kylee had broken up. It was mutual, neither was really to blame for it, and it was okay. There was nothing wrong with an interaction like this. But Carter was Carter, so in his mind this was a horrible run in and the universe was laughing at him for it now.

“Yeah, been a while. I’m okay. Uh, heard you’re with… heard you’re seeing Keanu. That’s cool.” It was not cool in Carter’s mind but that was because he was a little jealous. Not so much that she’d moved on, but that she’d moved on so quickly and he hadn’t. Although, he kind of had, considering his feelings for Kate. But he had yet to admit to himself that they were there, so again, in his mind this sucked.

How do you think Steve and/or Peggy would deal with some possible pigeon messengers during the war? For Steve, I imagine he runs hotter than normal people so the pigeons LOVE chilling with him! A couple pigeons catching some z’s on his shoulders one evening, and the howlies won’t let him live it down

I can honestly say I have never thought about this before now, but I am on board with the idea that homing pigeons love Steve, adding to his overall Disney Princess aura. 😂

I think it would be very funny if this is also how we discover that Peggy Carter has one (1) irrational, instinctual fear, and it is birds. She tolerates pigeons, out of necessity, but finds them deeply unsettling.

In Googling to learn more about homing pigeons in WWII, I have learned that 32 pigeons were decorated for gallantry under fire. I'm very excited to introduce this fact into a totally unrelated conversation soon.

After an argument with her father, there's only so much anger Kate can take out on inanimate objects and soon she's at Carter's front door. Her fist banged against the door with such a heavy force, that she was almost certain it'd come off it's hinges if she continued for long enough.

She's silent, until he makes the mistake of answering and she already decides to unleash her rage against him.

"There he is, the perfect child." She practically barked, with a scowl. "I bet your dad's so proud of you, being a corporate machine with no originality or unique bone in your body. You fuckin' sheep, Carter. No wonder I can't stand you, you're pathetic."
