Darn it.

Every year I say I'm going to find/hatch a January 24th g1, every year I completely forget until a month after the fact. OTL;;;;

So. Long shot, but I'm looking for a January 24th (any year) g1, male, Nature eyes. Colors don't matter because I'll know it when I see it and can scatter, but probably looking for more earthy tones or darker colors. No eyeburners, but again, I'll scatter if needed.

With all the excitement lately (greenskeeper straight to anniversary hype to unfathomable odyssey to fathom release to meatheat) it's easy to forget the REAL questions. Like, what will this year's fest familiars be?

really fucking grateful that fr is how it is. no predatory gacha, no intrusive ads (and any bad ads are dealt with!), staff that LISTENS and actually tries go do better despite how some of the community behaves. they aren't perfect and there's times I get frustrated with how things are done but good god fr is a paradise compared to some places

are people interested in markings-type accents anymore, or just skincents of Fancy Apparel/Wings/Scenery and Replace-The-Dragon-With-Animals*?

* nothing wrong with either of these of course but I miss simpler accents that were like. animal markings. stars. gradients. etc. and want to make some again (but don't have a specific dragon in mind for a custom)

attempting to absolve my dragon sins by going through my inbox and replying to messages from years ago

by doing this, I found:

a bunch of small random-item gifts from people that I forgot to collect

a 350g tip from doing some sketches for someone for a bigger comm that ended up not going anywhere (both of us lost the thread)

an unread pm from 2017 that has been haunting my notifications this whole time (unimportant message that didn't need a reply)

a couple messages with food attached that were my main search goal (they were originally as part of a trade for art but I got burned out) - items returned, now I feel a little less guilty even though they were from also 2017 :')

valentines day deliveries from when I participated in those kinds of events

1000g and some familiars/apparel from a pm labeled "holiday gift'????? :O

lots of 'auction sold' messages from back when that was a thing

messages from friends who have long since stopped playing (*crying*)

discovering that the first message in my inbox was a care package/threat from gladekeeper because the deities did that sort of thing back then

very much have to appreciate that FR lets you keep all your messages there was a lot of good stuff in there
