I wanted to draw something sweet + joyful for the challenge, and since Valentine's day also just happened, I've picked my main OC couple as the subjects : -]. Someone trusting their partner well enough to let them do their hair is such a sweet scenario, it's been stuck in my mind ever since I read it in this lesson.

To my Black audience, thank you so much for being here!! The amount of time and care given to learn how to properly draw Black characters will always be worth it if it means I can draw and write characters you like and can relate to; you deserve faithful and loving depictions of Blackness in any media you like 💜

the main character of a story i'm writing, meduin. he's a bisexual knight and beekeeper. kind of a stickler for etiquette and the more ritual parts of knighthood but he's also getting more and more disillusioned with the rules of society, and frankly tired of his dickhead coworkers. runs away to save his beehives from some arcane tampering, gets an elf boyfriend, fights the dragon meat wizard, etc.

This might sound bad but I promise it's a compliment- I love how normal your guy looks. This is a Guy I'd know. Like there was one character that got submitted for the poll series from a DnD deal and he looked like a Black man I'd see outside chilling. I love seeing regular people in things lmao, like yeah this is my main character, he's a Guy, and You Too could be in this fantasy series. I fully support him hating work and society on top of his other things. A true comrade ☝🏾

I altered the spots to be bengal markings instead cuz a) its cool and b) im bad at bengal markings so im forcing myself to learn how to draw them
