Thinking about disabled AK!Jason tonite with a disabled s/o
Let's be fr this man could/should be an ambulatory wheelchair user but he won't because he doesn't know that's a thing and wouldn't think he deserved it. If you're an ambulatory wheelchair user maybe one day you manage to lovingly bully him into just TRYING it and it is life changing
He uses his ambulatory energy to do Red Hood shit nbd
if he doesn't use a wheelchair he's got at least 2 braces--shoulder and knee
Baby has chronic pain, arthritis, chronic migraines from being beaten
Missing some teeth too
take this boy to your neuro or your ortho!!!! he is totally unaware he does not need to live like this. better living through chemistry
let's get him some therapy too
you WILL have to go to his drs appointments with him. mans WILL freak the fuck out for ANY medical procedure, has very serious medical abuse trauma. if he can see how your drs help you he is much more likely to go if he can see that you are benefiting from your providers and that they haven't harmed you
if you're scared of drs he will FULLY stand behind you. probably not that healthy tbh but he gets it
having a special Migraine Protocol for each of you (it's basically just a snack and a drink, blue light filter glasses, a sleep mask with headphones for that special Migraine Playlist)
make your own pain scales and talk through frequency of pain bc when you have constant or near constant pain it fucks up your ability to quantify it so making your own pain scale is helpful (he probably uses shakespeare plays or authors. like a 5 for jason is twilight, because you can see some problems but it's fun and fluffy but when you start looking closer OH NO SO MANY PROBLEMS)
pain meters on a wall near the kitchen so you can know what you're working with
CBD patches
the AK suit is basically a giant brace/mobility aid so you help him figure out how to adapt it for his red hood persona, how to make it lighter and allow for greater ROM
will remind you to do physical therapy
resistance bands ALL OVER THE HOUSE
learning bodywork techniques
AT LEAST once a week using a special oil or lotion to work into some of his bigger scars to make the tissue more mobile
giving him a back/neck/scalp/face massage
after a while obvi that's a lot of trust he's putting in you
NOT deep tissue. don't hurt him more. you can have effective therapeutic massage without hurting a person
trager work involves basically shaking a limb and letting the weight of the muscle do all the work but it feels weird the first time and he'd just start laughing at you
specially if you do his glutes
but it feels really nice so he stops laughing and it does help his lower body pain
putting magnesium lotion on each other's neck and shoulders
start to ask each other "are you angry or in pain?"
hand massages
teaching him to stop pushing through the pain
one of his knees is basically bone on bone so you always know when the weather is changing
if u both have bad knees u just don't even when the weather is changing. take some pain meds, use your topical pain reliever of choice, prop those joints up and snuggle in bed. watch a youtube series or he can read to you
heated blankets as heating pads supremacy
occasionally he'll be in pain and the kind of pain where you feel like you're going insane, so as a distraction he will go online and buy a bunch of weird pain-relieving gadgets and you'll spend a week trying them out
(sometimes his pain fog shopping spree is blind boxes, or nail polish, or statement shirts)
all of his siblings know to come to your place if they get beat tf up because your medicine cabinet is UNreal
you're about to give cass or steph a Controlled Substance Pain Reliever and you pause "this is technically drug dealing, isn't it? dOn'T teLL rEd hOOD" jason is literally patching them up right next to you
soft blankets
reminding each other it's ok to take it slow
he's constantly tearing into the other rogues for not having ADA accessible lairs (except Ivy who successfully argued that the plants make it ADA accessible which will do. FOR NOW.)
#jason todd#red hood#arkham knight#ak!jason todd#reader insert#x reader#jason todd x reader#ak!jason x reader#my stuff#chronic migraine#dc brainrot#invisible disability#chronic pain#disability#seriously low back trager work has no business being as effective as it is#i miss doing massage :(

Do you smoke weed? Does it help?
i used to be a chronic weed smoker. like from ages 15-24 smoking every single day. all diff kinds too, in the same day, edibles, flower, live rosin, tinctures, u name is. my son started having seizures and i started having these horrific panic attacks of “what if he dies in his sleep” and i had to stop. if did help the pain. i have fibromyalgia (diagnosed) and severe uterine problems (pretty much assumed bc i don’t want to have the scope procedure done to see the scar tissue +trauma when i was a toddler, is what my doctors and i have concluded) but i do use cbd patches. since my miscarriage, ive been using kratom and kava. and those help tremendously. i also take ashwaganda, red maca, magnesium, yoga, exercising daily+walks everyday. and these help. my diet is high in fat, i contribute my health to my diet and sheer willpower to do better for my son. but to make a long answer short, no LOL

As government regulations evolve, so too does the demand for medical marijuana. Many countries that have legalized its medical use are now also promoting its cultivation to reduce dependency on imports and generate revenue through taxation. This shift has resulted in job creation and the emergence of new businesses entering the sector. In the United States and Europe, companies are increasingly focusing on non-recreational and non-medical applications of cannabis. The plant offers a wide array of uses, spanning medical, industrial, and other sectors, and its market has seen substantial growth since legalization. This expansion presents significant opportunities for revenue generation. With ongoing efforts to secure FDA approvals, the market for legal cannabis is poised for continued growth. As marijuana derivatives gain legitimacy for clinical use, numerous clinical trials will be undertaken. Scientific progress and product innovation are addressing challenges associated with edibles, such as inconsistent effects. Newer infusion products, such as topical or sublingual formulations that are absorbed through the skin or under the tongue, are emerging as alternatives.

Market Dynamics:
Drivers-
The legalization of cannabis has enabled individuals to consume medicinal products safely, benefiting from their therapeutic properties. As a result, an increasing number of governments are moving towards the legalization of cannabis use. However, it remains illegal in many countries. Over time, the relaxation of regulations governing its use and sale has led to a rise in global recreational cannabis consumption, fueling the growth of the recreational cannabis market. This sector is currently outpacing other market segments due to the strong demand for cannabis for recreational purposes. Should recreational cannabis be legalized in more regions, the market potential for this category could experience substantial expansion.
Expert Knowledge, Just a Click Away: https://calendly.com/insightaceanalytic/30min?month=2025-02
Challenges:
Overconsumption of cannabis can lead to short-term effects such as anxiety or panic attacks, and in the long term, it may contribute to heart arrhythmia and mental health issues. While cannabis is legally designated for medicinal use in certain regions of North America, Africa, Australia, Europe, and South America, it remains illegal in the majority of Middle Eastern and Asian countries. In emerging markets such as Japan, India, and South Korea, the consumption, possession, purchase, or sale of cannabis is considered a criminal offense. Consequently, the restrictive legal frameworks in these regions are expected to hinder the market's potential for growth. Additionally, adverse effects associated with cannabis use, including cognitive impairment, are anticipated to further limit market expansion.
Regional Trends:
The North American recreational cannabis market is expected to capture a significant market share and is projected to experience strong growth at a high compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the near future. The passage of the United States Farm Bill 2018, which legalized CBD in various states, has created substantial opportunities for market expansion. Moreover, favorable government regulations have facilitated the entry of new market players, contributing to the sector's development. In the Asia-Pacific region, where cannabis use is becoming increasingly legal in several countries, the market is forecast to grow at the fastest rate during the projected period. China is expected to lead the Asia-Pacific cannabis market, driven by its extensive cannabis cultivation and robust regional investments.
Recent Developments:
In August 2021, Tilary Inc. announced the release of THC and CBD-rich chocolates and soft chewing gums. Tilray's new brand offers a wide range of medicinal marijuana products, including entire flowers, oils, vaporizers, and pre-rolls developed for the patient's health and wellness.

Cannabis for Insomnia: How it Works, Challenges, and Real-Life Benefits

Millions of people worldwide struggle with insomnia, an issue that can significantly affect daily life and well-being. Recently, more attention has turned to using cannabis for insomnia relief, with growing evidence suggesting it may help with sleep onset and quality. This blog post explores the essentials of using cannabis for sleep, including its effects, challenges, a step-by-step guide to safe use, and a real-life case study.
Table of Contents
Understanding Insomnia and How Cannabis Can Help
Popular Types of Cannabis Products for Insomnia Relief
Challenges of Using Cannabis for Insomnia
Step-by-Step Guide to Using Cannabis for Insomnia
Case Study: Real-Life Success with Cannabis for Sleep
Conclusion
1. Understanding Insomnia and How Cannabis Can Help
What Is Insomnia?
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that makes it difficult for people to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get restorative sleep, even when they have the opportunity. Symptoms often include fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and mood disturbances. Causes can range from lifestyle factors, stress, anxiety, and certain medical conditions to irregular sleep schedules. Chronic insomnia can even increase the risk of health issues like heart disease, diabetes, and depression.
The Science Behind Cannabis for Insomnia
Cannabis contains compounds called cannabinoids, with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) being the most notable. These compounds interact with the endocannabinoid system, a network within the body that influences sleep, pain, mood, and immunity. THC is generally known for its sedative effects, while CBD can promote relaxation, making both helpful for insomnia in different ways.
THC and Sleep Onset: THC may help some people fall asleep faster due to its psychoactive and sedative effects, which can ease anxiety and promote calmness.
CBD and Restorative Sleep: CBD, while non-psychoactive, has been shown to reduce anxiety, pain, and inflammation, helping the body relax into a more restful state.
2. Popular Types of Cannabis Products for Insomnia Relief
1. Tinctures Tinctures are cannabis extracts mixed with alcohol or oil, often taken sublingually (under the tongue) for quick absorption. These are popular for those who need fast relief, as effects typically begin within 15-45 minutes.
2. Edibles Edibles, such as gummies or chocolates, are easy to consume but may take longer to feel the effects (up to 2 hours). However, they provide longer-lasting relief, making them a good option for staying asleep through the night.
3. Vapes Vaping involves inhaling cannabis, which offers near-instant effects, making it suitable for those who need immediate relief. However, effects may wear off more quickly than edibles.
4. Topicals and Transdermal Patches While not as common, some people use cannabis topicals or transdermal patches with THC or CBD to promote relaxation and reduce muscle tension, though they are typically less effective for treating insomnia directly.
5. Cannabis-Infused Beverages These drinks are gaining popularity for their ease of use and variety. Infused teas or sleep aids combine CBD and low doses of THC, often with calming herbs like chamomile, to support sleep.
3. Challenges of Using Cannabis for Insomnia
1. Finding the Right Dosage One of the most significant challenges is discovering the right dosage, as too little may not help, and too much could increase anxiety, particularly with THC.
2. Legal Restrictions Cannabis legality varies globally, so accessing it legally can be challenging depending on the region. This can also limit access to regulated, quality-controlled products.
3. Potential Side Effects Side effects, such as dry mouth, dizziness, and altered mental states, can be a drawback. Higher doses of THC may lead to grogginess or a “high” feeling, which can be undesirable for those seeking relaxation without psychoactive effects.
4. Dependency Risks Regular cannabis use for insomnia may lead to tolerance, where individuals need higher doses over time to achieve the same effects. This can lead to psychological dependence if not managed carefully.
5. Limited Long-Term Studies While research is growing, long-term studies on cannabis’s effects on sleep quality and overall health remain limited, making it difficult to understand the full range of potential outcomes.
4. Step-by-Step Guide to Using Cannabis for Insomnia
If you’re considering cannabis for insomnia, the following steps can help maximize safety and effectiveness:
Step 1: Consult a Healthcare Professional Before trying cannabis for insomnia, speak with a healthcare provider, especially if you are on medication or have a pre-existing condition. A doctor can help assess if cannabis is a safe choice for you.
Step 2: Start with CBD or Low THC Begin with CBD or low-dose THC products to minimize the risk of psychoactive effects or over-sedation. Some users find that a balanced CBD
ratio works well for sleep without causing a high.
Step 3: Choose the Right Method of Consumption Consider which product type suits your sleep needs. For quick relief, vaping or tinctures work well, while edibles provide longer-lasting effects. Remember that onset and duration vary by product type.
Step 4: Test Your Dose and Timing Start with a small dose and consume cannabis about an hour before bed to gauge your body’s reaction. Avoid combining cannabis with alcohol or other substances, which can intensify sedative effects.
Step 5: Monitor Effects and Adjust as Needed Track how you feel the next day to evaluate the effects on your sleep quality and mood. Adjust dosage, product type, or timing as needed for optimal results.
5. Case Study: Real-Life Success with Cannabis for Sleep
Case Study: Olivia’s Journey to Restful Nights
Olivia, a 42-year-old marketing executive, had battled insomnia for several years, often struggling to get more than a few hours of sleep. After trying various medications and supplements, she decided to try cannabis for insomnia under her doctor’s guidance.
Initially, Olivia started with CBD-only oil, but after two weeks, she found minimal improvement. Her doctor recommended trying a 1:1 CBD
tincture. She began with a low dose 45 minutes before bed and felt relaxed within 30 minutes, falling asleep quicker than usual. Over the next month, she noticed her sleep quality improved, with fewer interruptions throughout the night.
After finding the right dose, Olivia now enjoys a consistent sleep routine and feels more energized during the day. She continues to monitor her usage to avoid dependence and adjusts her intake if she notices any change in effectiveness.
6. Conclusion

6. Conclusion
Using cannabis for insomnia can be a beneficial option for many, particularly those struggling with chronic sleep issues resistant to other treatments. However, success with cannabis requires a mindful approach to product selection, dosage, and timing.
