It was fun to see Hetty's power on St. Patrick's Day, but I also remember interviews where Rebecca said her power would show itself at a moment of need or something like that (unless that was a mislead) and what if the part about it being on Saint Patrick's Day was just the first part of the power? Like some others, I hope they find a way to make the power more permanent, and I think it'll be that by her saving Jay from Elias, cause that DOES fit her power showing up at a time of desperate need.

Paramount+ continuing to upload new episodes super early! I don't actually have a whole lot to say except that I enjoyed it. I like that they're continuing to explore friendships between characters that have been a bit neglected, that they're pushing how far they can utilise ghost powers, and that we're finding out more about Alberta beyond her murder (or are we??).
The Isaac and physical contact stuff was basically a one liner but I'm still pretty sure it's setting up for a new romance. Why else would they include the line at all? And as much as I don't like the idea of Isaac with someone else, I do see how it would be important for his character growth. Plus it means we'd get more sad boi Nigel, which I love and hate in equal measure lol. And it would bring us one step closer to a nisaac reunion, so. Yeah. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either.

But since Chris peaced out what will be the plot of Smooching and Smushing be????
(not so I can pregame with my sister character backstory or anything)
and why now do I feel it’s going to lean more into the Sass being a virgin nerdy prude arch ahead of his potential A plot the following week?

It’s not as if I’ve brought other minor characters like Dino Stripper Chris or Joan into this piece (though I think both could be interesting though the latter would definitely have a different plot purpose) however my mind has been stuck on the idea of Kyle…hence the poll

I wonder if this means that Adelheid frequently encroaches on Claudius’s leadership, because she is the “lady of the house” and she wants to be the one who makes decisions on behalf of the group. Claudius probably does not appreciate that. 😏
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Claudius is the "leader" whose weakness is "Adelheid".
This seems to imply that Claudius and Adelheid won't have as close a friendship as the Captain and Lady Button had, at least not in the beginning. The caption of Ghosts_de's post also mentions ghosts being able to possess the livings but not whether or not Claudius has that specific power - only that he'd posses Adelheid if it were possible to possess ghosts.

Yet another ghost in Woodstone Mansion has discovered their power.
Thursday night’s episode of CBS‘ Ghosts, aptly titled “St. Hetty’s Day,” reveals that the Gilded Age aristocrat’s power is tied directly to her Irish ancestry. As it turns out, Hetty has quite a powerful ability, albeit only on one day per year. On St. Patrick’s Day, she can be seen by the living.
“I love that you don’t know just how powerful or not it is until the end of the episode,” Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Hetty, told Deadline. “I love that there’s a theme in the episode [about] the power of being seen, literally and figuratively. It’s, I think, one of the things that all of the ghosts are really craving is to be known, is to be recognized, to be seen all these years after they’ve been sitting in Purgatory. So that really resonated for me.”
Hetty, in particular, has long craved to really be seen, even by her fellow ghosts, whom often misunderstand her. In life, she was often cast aside by her horrendous husband and, in death, her haughty personality often gets in the way of forming deep connections.
So, when Jay’s cousin Sunil visits Woodstone and, thanks to Hetty’s newly discovered power, he can not only physically see her, but he seems to understand her loneliness, she jumps at the opportunity to connect with him, however unpractical it may seem.
“It might affect her relationships in the house. It might affect your relationship with Trevor in the house,” Wisocky posited. “Some of the most enjoyable moments I have as an actor playing this character are when she gets to be more innocent and childlike and eager and gets to experience new things, and this was a great example of that.”
While Hetty’s ghost power is impressive, it is also very limiting. After an entire episode of speculation, it’s confirmed that Hetty will only walk among the living for one day a year and, when the clock strikes midnight, she’ll disappear once again.
The Woodstone ghosts are quite obsessed with ranking their powers, and Wisocky admits that Hetty’s gift is “probably not as high as she would have hoped” among those rankings. After all, Trevor can control technology, which allows him contact with the outside world, and Pete can travel outside the property.
“But I think you can bet your bottom dollar that she’s going to be milking that one day a year worth,” Wisocky joked, adding that, while her character certainly was hoping for something more powerful, “the thought that she might actually not have a power was kind of delightful to me.”
“She thinks of herself as so high status, so anytime we can undercut that and make fun of her a little bit, I love doing that,” she said.
As for the rest of this season, Wisocky teases that we’re racing toward another cliffhanger to end the season.
“We’re staying on track with Jay’s restaurant, and the progression, or lack of progression, with Jay’s restaurant. There obviously was a wrench thrown in the works in the form of a dinosaur-loving stripper through the roof. So that’ll have to sort itself out in some way,” she teases. “I suspect we might not have seen the end of my evil, dastardly husband Elias.”
Ghosts was recently renewed for two additional seasons, which, in addition to being an incredible amount of job security at an uncertain time in the industry, also indicates there’s lots of runway to keep exploring the history of Woodstone Mansion through the eyes of its ghostly inhabitants.
“I think of the house itself as the 11th main character in the show. I think that it’s haunted, not just because it has ghosts in it. It’s haunted because of all of the people who have lived and died there and loved there and lost there,” she said. “Also, on a side note, Hetty Woodstone built that house…I’m interested in whether or not Hetty or her family had anything to do with locking Nancy and the cholera ghosts in the basement.”

Jay can see ghosts in Season 4?? Is that a spoiler for the next season??? (This is a pretty big spoiler to just casually throw out there).
Uh, anyway, that would be interesting for sure, but I definitely feel more like she may know, but no one else knows.
I would like a temporary ability to see ghosts - although I don't know how that would work. Would they think they imagined it? Was she able to talk to them? Why wouldn't she consider that in the "haunting" scene??
On the other hand, it would give Jay what he craves the most - although neither he nor she could see ghosts when she possessed him.
I definitely wouldn't go with Trevor knowing when he was alive though - largely because a) the other ghosts would likely have seen and b) because he was so surprised when he, himself, became a ghost.
I rather like the idea that no one knows and she's just that awesome at avoiding getting walked through and with the whole "alone for a year" thing, it gives her an opportunity to learn how to avoid it.
Could be fun to play with seeing ghosts though.
what is Hetty’s ghost power??
despite what she thought it’s not sending ppl to hell
do u guys think it’s a walk through her kind of power like Issac or Flower
OR is it like a physical power like the others?
i hope they address that in season 4

Though TVLine has made a case for why any number of cast members/characters from NCIS‘ past could/should return for any possible on-screen tribute to the late David McCallum, there are also very valid reasons why that RSVP list might turn out to be quite limited.
Heading into its 21st season come February 2024, CBS’ NCIS cast now boasts zero original cast members, seeing as — if you get technical (and people do) — Sean Murray (who plays McGee) and Brian Dietzen (Dr. Palmer) did not become series regulars until Seasons 2 and 10, respectively. (Rocky Carroll made his debut as Vance in Season 5, and joined the cast in Season 6.)
As such, from go, any episode that might aim to give McCallum/Dr. Donald Mallard a proper sendoff will be light on colleagues who actually worked alongside McCallum/Ducky for more than a third of the well-watched series’ run.
That is why, when speculating about any “Ducky tribute” episode (no official plans have been announced, yet), there have been cries of, “Well, Mark Harmon/Gibbs has to be there!”
“Yes! And Michael Weatherly/DiNozzo!”
“Ooh, a perfect time for a #Tiva reunion, if Cote de Pablo comes back…”
“But don’t forget Emily Wickersham! We need closure on Bishop’s exit!”
“Can we also get visits from some ghosts of dead characters, too??”
Yeah, you can see how this can get very out of hand.
The fact is that — any scheduling/availability issues aside — you can’t simply “bring back” Gibbs. Or DiNozzo. Or any of the above. No matter how much their presence might be warranted for this occasion.
Tumblr media
I mean, you can absolutely bring back Gibbs — especially if Mark Harmon knows about it. But then you’ll have to commit some dialogue/screen time to coaxing updates out of the team’s taciturn former leader.
Ditto Weatherly/Tony and de Pablo/Ziva, who have not shared a scene together in more than a decade (but presumably reunited off-screen after de Pablo’s most recent solo visit). An appearance by Tali’s father or both her parents will consume much storytelling oxygen, since fans of that primetime supercouple will want/need to know how their unconventional family unit is faring.
And if Emily Bishop resurfaces after abruptly peace-ing out on NCIS — including Nick, her apparent boyfriend…? There will be those demanding some i’s be dotted and t’s get crossed on that front.
What that all adds up to is, if you accommodate even two of the aforementioned returns, suddenly this Very Special Episode is a lot less about David McCallum and Ducky, and more about “Boss, what kind of fish are you catching in Alaska?” and “Sooo, might Tali get a big brother or sister anytime soon?”
Is that a trade-off you’re willing to make, all in the name of a well-attended trip down memory lane?
Or do you see some other option that brings back many of the above but successfully “cheats” us on proper catch-ups?
Me, I could be content with a Case of the Week that thoroughly vexes Dr. Palmer as he mourns a recently passed Dr. Mallard. But it’s flashbacks of wisdom imparted over the years, by Ducky, that helps Jimmy near single-handedly crack the case, ahead of a proper memorial for his mentor.

Hetty's ghost power next week! I saw a guess on a pic of her with a camera that her power would be the same as Fanny's on BBC, being able to be seen by a camera, but that doesn't make sense with the power logic used with the other ghosts on the show. I'm still going tor either the simple: she can be heard on the phone or the more complicated (she took her own life so she gets to have some effect on where others go as well if she feels like it). Hence what happened with Elias, even if she wasn't doing it with intent at the time.

Breaking News: Washington D.C. Mid-Air Collision - A National Tragedy or Cover-Up?
Folks, brace yourselves for the truth! A catastrophic mid-air collision has rocked the heart of our nation, right over the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport. An American Eagle flight, carrying 64 souls, collided with a military Black Hawk helicopter!
🔥 Key Details:
American Airlines Flight 5342, a Bombardier CRJ701, met disaster with a UH-60 Black Hawk from Fort Belvoir.
The plane shattered into three pieces, crashing into icy waters where the temperature was a chilling 35°F!
300 brave first responders fought through the night, recovering 28 bodies in what's being called the largest recovery operation in decades by the D.C. medical examiner.
🚨 What's Behind This?
The Black Hawk's ADS-B system was mysteriously off, making it a ghost in the sky to our commercial jet.
Air traffic control's last-second "maintain visual separation" call - was this a system failure or something more sinister?
The timing, the location, the lack of broadcasting - does this smell like a cover-up to you?
🌟ommunity Impact:
The tragedy took beloved members from the Skating Club of Boston and has shaken the figure skating community.
Aviation experts are ringing alarm bells about controller shortages and the risk of such collisions in our skies.
🗣️ We Demand Answers:
Why was the helicopter flying dark in one of the busiest airspaces in America?
What does this say about our air traffic control systems, already flagged for being outdated?
This incident, the first fatal commercial crash in 15 years, isn't just about loss; it's about accountability, transparency, and ensuring such a nightmare never repeats. We need to stand united, demand the truth, and protect our skies!
Article Coming Soon: Stay tuned for an in-depth analysis on these questions and more. We're not stopping until we get to the bottom of this.

now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts (Fleury - Lyon Postgame Thoughts)
Plus side: we won by a comfortable margin.
Downside: literally everything else.
It's impossible to have watched that game and come away with any degree of confidence. It was a win, sure, but it was ugly as fuck and if we're being frank, paints a pretty bleak picture of the future. So let's talk our way through the issues.
Before I rip into the team, we need to talk about the state of the pitch because I am an equal opportunity hater. It was appalling and that Lyon walked away with no (obvious?) longterm injury is quite frankly a miracle. The French Federation cannot be bragging about how they have revamped the league while having teams play on a pitch like Fleury's. By the end it looked closer to a carpet design than actual grass.
Pitches in conditions like that aren't going to encourage players to play in the league and they're not going to encourage broadcasters to broadcast the games. This is something that needs to be fixed, urgently at that. It was ugly to look at and it was ugly to play on. No one, absolutely no one, enjoyed it.
So let's move on to the game itself.
Lyon's mentality, which used to be such a strong defining characteristic of the team, was absolutely shocking this evening. To have conceded in the opening seconds not just in the first half but also in the second half is just unacceptable for a team of this alleged caliber. They have played games before. In what world should they have switched off so easily? This isn't their first time playing in a new league against an unfamiliar opponent. They aren't amateurs even if the beginning of each half begs the contrary.
The defense wasn't ball watching on the goals which actually makes it even worse. If they were ball watching then they were jut being lazy. Instead they were unprepared and disoriented and got rightfully punished for it. People will argue that it's expected since the defense isn't used to playing in a 3-4-3.
Fine. But they shouldn't be playing in a 3-4-3 anyway.
The system doesn't work when you have the outside backs that Lyon does. Svava and Carpenter both like to break forward and be part of the attack because that's simply how Lyon plays. But in order for the 3-4-3 to properly work you need the defense to sit back the entire game. A 3-4-3 with two outside backs like Carpenter becomes more of a 1-2-4-3 and that leaves the goal incredibly exposed.
If Fleury were able to score two quick goals, imagine what teams with a bigger fire power (PSG, Paris FC) will do to that defense. The system just simply doesn't work with the defenders Lyon has.
Well, the remaining players. Gilles shouldn't have played 90 mins considering she missed the entirety of preseason due to injury. While I will celebrate Montemurro protecting my mental health by not starting Sylla and Sangare, we're back to the real problem: Gilles played because the other option was worse, and the other option was worse because Kang/Ponsot/Montemurro collectively decided that losing Mbock was acceptable because they would give academy kids playing time instead.
Twist and turn it all you want, but academy kids are not on par with Mbock. If only we had a third experienced CB who could have perhaps stepped up and played instead ...
I've ripped on Marozsan so much in the past. I still think we should sell her and I still think she's unnecessary expensive dead weight. BUT I am also not to proud to give credit where credit is due. She has been playing well lately and seems to have remembered that cardio will not, in fact, actually kill her. I'm not sure who was more surprised when Marozsan ran back and did a good defensive slide tackle, myself or the Fleury player. I don't think Marozsan's defensive efforts were necessary in a scouting report. Canal Plus also had interesting speculations about why Marozsan sat on the bench so much last season but that's something we can discuss privately.
The midfield overall was pretty meh. Van de Donk didn't play well but didn't play badly either, but definitely could have done better. I am perplexed at her fucking nutcase stans on Instagram who do not seem to understand that a player can be subbed around the 60th minute for rotation purposes and not because of injury. She is a player who wasn't playing an outstanding game and has openly spoken about burnout. There is nothing shocking or concerning about her being subbed around the 60th minute unless you a deranged parasocial freak.
Horan actually played better than I was expecting. I'm a bit like ??? at some people's willingness to vilify her. Like, she's not in my list of Top 20 players I like, but there seems to be a real interest in putting her down lately while conveniently forgetting both what she has accomplished on the field and other players who have made much more controversial decisions but seem to get a pass because of a bunch of reasons (association with Love Island FC being one of them). Anyway, it's fine, beef with whomever you want, not gonna tell you not to, but is Horan really the most unlikeable player in the world? Like, really?
Damaris was a bit meh at the beginning, was sloppy and careless for Fleury's first goal, but actually got into the game more and seemed to become more interested in the outcome of the game as it went on. Her assist was really good. Just sucks we're going to lose her for several weeks/months at one point in the season as is tradition.
Dumornay has got to learn to control her frustration better. It's frustrating as a fan because when Dumornay keeps her head down and does her job, she's really good at it and is fun to watch. But then she starts being fouled or calls going against her or whatever and she starts committing unnecessary fouls. I'm not fond of the argument "she's young and is still learning." No. Cut that shit out and focus on your job. Which she did in this game.
Canal Plus ripped into Chawinga a fair amount as well and some I think was a bit out of line and some I agree with. Is Lyon a more "technical" team than PSG? I'm not super convinced about that. I think in terms of passing and ball possession, they're not that different from each other. So I don't buy the argument she struggled because she isn't used to being on a technical team. PSG has very good technical players, this isn't the first time she would have been around quick passing.
I do agree she was making sloppy mistakes. There was a moment when she was trying to control the ball and then just kicked out of bounds from 20 cms away for a Fleury throw. She also didn't really have a go at the Fleury defense which we know from her PSG days she can do. Now again, I'll concede she is playing with a new team, but she has played in the league before and she has played against Fleury before. There wasn't really a whole lot of new if you think about it.
Diani woke up as the game went on. Scored, could have done better, have seen her ghost so I know what that looks like and this wasn't it. It'll be interesting to see what her form looks like as the season progresses.
And going back to Endler - I expected better from her. I know she is probably used to sleep watching her way through league games so she is going to be in for a rude awakening if Montemurro continues with this 3-4-3 formation. Before Endler had a stellar backline in front of her. Now she doesn't really have one at all.
Tl:dr version: this game did nothing to make me feel better about how the rest of the season is going to go.

I know it's probably something they won't repeat from the bbc series but I really wonder if Elias had something to do with Hetty's death. Not killing her personally because he was dead before she was but like, maybe he put a hit out on her or something? There was clearly no love lost between them.
You’re not the only one to wonder this! Like you pointed out, we know Elias died before Hetty… but Elias was a rather nefarious business guy, so could the people who may have had Elias on their hit list gone after Hetty as well? Maybe she was in the way of the money they wanted from Elias? Just throwing out theories here…
