Anon, I do find this very funny, but I honestly doubt I'd ever write a fic about characters writing fic

BUT, I do know fics like that exist, but for the life of me I can't seem to find them, because unfortunately searching the tag on ao3 for "fanfic" or "fanfiction" or even "writing" brings up any story where the author uses that word in the notes or tags or summary, and I don't feel like reading through hundreds of summaries sooooo I can't list any here. But I'll pop it in the jonsa tag to see if anyone else remembers them, because I KNOW I've seen those

It's always lovely getting comments on old fics, I can't imagine any writer who wouldn't love that.

As for my favorites... Its very tough, because I love all my fics in their own way and each means something different to me, but there are definitely some that are more self indulgent & I feel more pride in for various reasons. I'll do a top 5 (6 bc I can't cut one), and only go with multi-chapter, actually plotted stories (not one-shots). Not in any particular order and probably subject to change.

-help me out of the shape I'm in (ok this is my #1 sorry to everything else)

-lounge act

-the mating game (I feel like this is my best romcom)

-every time is the last time

with an honorable mention to sketches of what was there before, even though it's not a true multi-chapter like the rest of them are, just a series of vignettes

I'm obsessed with people doing Jonsa romcom AUs but giving Jon the role of the female protagonist. Like your post about the Jonsa princess diaries AU where Jon is Mia. Now i'm imagining like a Jonsa Twilight AU where Jon is Bella. Loner depressed newbie falling in love with the gorgeous but distant redhead. The Starks being weirdo vampires who just go to high school all the time. The Targs being the weirdo Italian vampires who want to steal the gifted ones. Jon's special power being >>unreadable<<. Single parent chief of police Lyanna Snow. I guess the werewolves would be... the wildlings? Or maybe the Starks are the wolves and Jonella chooses them over the vampires lmaoooo sorry I got too excited about this, I was going to give more examples of other rom coms. I love how you can kind of insert that ship into any piece of media and it still works

no no no do not advocate for her to have a platform. she may *look* small and cute and innocent, but there's a reason the windows in my house are boarded up like we're in the middle of the apocalypse. she is a menace to society and should not be allowed near any keyboards. who knows what she would accomplish with that power

Girl your list its top tier of all times!! It’s interesting bc “Every time..” it’s my all time favorite but I could only read it twice bc it wrecks me and heals me at the same time. It’s such a wonderful story that it stayed with me and it comes back randomly at times, be it some bits wherever I’ll be cooking or cleaning or doing something mundane and it sucker punch me in the good way (also a little angsty too xd)

“Help me out…” it’s gold! Idk but it’s just activates parts of my brain and soul haha I have it downloaded on my phone and every time I have to travel I’ll just go and read it. Like automatically.

The other ones are so so good for different reasons bc of the different genres to put it in a way. I’m not going to dive in about every single one but they are chef kiss*

Ok ngl I was just rewatching the Haunting of Hill House and I am an emotional wreck right now (speaking of favorite things - possibly my favorite horror TV show ever) and this just made me even more emotional lmao

I've been writing for five years and have gotten so many lovely comments and messages, but it still never quite feels real that anything I've written has stayed with someone, or that people like things enough to reread. I think that's the most any writer could ever hope for. That their stories meant something and stuck with someone. The world is awful and scary but I write these silly little stories and people like them and it makes everything just a little less terrible

Your writing is compelling and the plots are interesting! Though I do wish to see them getting their own wedding fic- with maybe different characters POV on the matter like Cat or Robb perhaps?

I like Sansa a lot as a character and I think you do justice with her characterization!

Now, I've kept this message as a little prompt, because when I saw it, I immediately thought of my prior fic, sketches of what was there before. It was a Cat & Jon fic, and there was a comment left on the final chapter about Cat at Jon & Sansa's wedding, and... well, I merged the two ideas.

This may not have been what you wanted (it isn't super focused on the jonsa aspect), but I hope you still like it! Maybe some day I'll write an actual jonsa wedding fic lmao

But pray tell, what are these song lyrics that now make Arya shudder??? Will we find out when Sansa finally listens to the album? (Cause we all know she will at some point!)

As I said in my one post, I sort of imagine the band as the Arctic Monkeys, and I was kinda thinking of the lyrics from 505 "in my imagination, you're waiting lying on your side with your hands between your thighs", but like honestly take your pick from a lot of their songs lol. I'm pretty sure there's one lyric that's like "leather cladded, spike collared, I want you down on all fours" (looked it up cause I couldn't remember the name, it's You're So Dark and I slightly misremembered the lyrics, but corrected them). They also just have a song called Knee Socks

So imagine Arya is digging these songs and then has to think about her sister being the person he's talking about (even though Jon isn't the lead singer. We will find out later he does backing vocals and writes most of the songs tho). I haven't quite decided if I'm going to use actual lyrics in the fic or not cause most of the time writing out lyrics sounds dumb as hell lol

one of my absolute faves of yours is you on the run. it’s one of the few fics i have downloaded and i re-read it all the time. i love how you’ve built a modern westeros that gives the great houses a true modern equivalent and how that informs how sansa behaves and acts. and i think it captures the danger and the state of survival that the characters are in in both the books and the show but again shifts it into a good modern equivalent. i love the jonsa dynamic in it of building trust and saving each other and feeling safe with each other. and i really love sansa’s characterization in it, it feels very true to both her book and show counterparts. it’s a really great story.

I think the reason that one doesn't make my list of absolute favorites is because I was SO STRESSED writing it lmao. Politics is NOT my strong point in plotting, so I was always so worried it would turn out horribly, and therefore it wasn't as self indulgent (the first parts were, the ones where they're actually on the run - that's what I loved writing the most. Then I had to contend with my own plot and got super stressed about it). But I am still very proud of myself for actually completing it and - in my personal opinion - doing a decent job of trying up all the loose threads

And considering how worried I was writing it, I'm so happy to hear it's one of your favorites of mine!

I'm so ridiculously excited for your latest!!! You've set it up so beautifully. Will we get Jon povs in this, or just Sansa? I ask because I need to see Jon's bandmates harassing him for not knowing who Sansa is, showing him pictures, and then Jon realising just what he's done and immediately kicking himself for it!

If you notice that your stats for loves not a competition has an insane spike it’s bc I can’t help but check like every half hour to see if it’s updated even though I know that would be insanely fast! I just am sick in the head about how the next chapter is going to go down! If you weren’t such an amazing writer I swear I’d be more normal about it 😂.
