I am thankful that an old friend of mine, Judy, who hasn't talked to me since June, is now willing to mend some bridges.  I made a very bad mistake with her, said some things I shouldn't have and I was afraid that my friendship with her was permanently over.  It's so awesome to find out that it's not!  :)

I am very thankful for my pastor, Mason, because I learn so much from his sermons every week.

I am super thankful for RED's new album Release the Panic.  I think it is amazing, and I have been listening to it all day. 

Unfortunately, I have been hearing a bunch of negative stuff about this album, because it sounds different than EoS, I&I and UWHF, but seriously, why can't we just let the band evolve with their music and sound?  The lyrics with this album are just as good as their previous album; the message is still there, and is that not what is important?  

But yeah, love RED--obviously--and love the new album!

365 Days of Thankfulness (41/365)

So, today was our church business meeting that happens every year.  Now technically I became a member of the church when I was fifteen, but I wasn't a voting member until I turned 18.

I turned 18 a few weeks ago.

My pastor comes up to me and was like "Are you planning of attending the meeting this afternoon?" 

I was like "Ah, no, not really." Because mentally I was thinking more along the lines of sleep, wonderful sleep.

My pastor looks and me and was like, "As of your birthday, you are a voting member and we need a quorum and so technically you have a choice of whether or not you attend the meeting but just know there is a right choice. 

He was kidding about the wrong choice thing.  I went to the meeting. 

And I am thankful that I survived because it was very boring.  Just sayin'.

I am thankful that all my college preparations are coming along smoothly.  I just found out that I might be able to take ASL I and II here in Pembina instead of going to Devils Lake.  Yay!

I am thankful that my best friend Dillon doesn't have a tumor like he said he did.  And he should be thankful that I'm so good-natured with practical jokes!

I am so thankful for the wonderful community that I am living in.   

I moved to Pembina in 2006 after moving 9 times.  I was eleven years old.  At first, I hated it.  In fact, for the first two years that I lived here I hated it.  But now, I love it.  

Next fall, I am faced with the thought of leaving Pembina for college.  I will only be two hours away, but I know that I'm going to miss it so much!  I am definitely not going to take the next six months here in Pembina for granted.

I am thankful that my birthday supper at my parents' house went okay!

365 Days of Thankfulness (28/365)

I am so thankful for my amazing friends, because earlier today, Rej (who is now basically my brother since I am living with his family now that my parents and I are currently not living with each other due to a lot of different issues) was planning on getting together with Richard, a friend of ours from school.  We were just going to hang out and watch a movie and just chill 'cause we don't have school tomorrow.

Before Richard arrived, Kathy (Rej's mom) was making sloppy joes for supper and I remember thinking that she was making an awful lot of meat, but I was working on homework, so I didn't think much of it.  

A little later, my little sister walks in the door, insists on dragging me away from my homework so we can hang out.  I thought it was a little strange, but I brushed it off. Then, when Kimber and I were playing Battleship, the doorbell rang.  It was Emmalee, another friend of mine.  And that's when I finally figured out that the Johnsons had orchestrated a surprise birthday party for me. I got to hang out with most of my really close friends and some of my siblings. 

Seriously, I feel so blessed right now.  I have no idea what I did to deserve the friends and family I have, but I am so thankful for them!

Here's to my 18th birthday tomorrow!
