12. Coven 🔮

Wen Uuna has been leading her coven since it first erected during the Ming Dynasty. A fugitive on the run, she came to earth to hide from her captors so naturally she's extremely secretive. She is wary of friends & strangers alike, so much so that no one knows what she looks like as she always wears a veil. The only time she's without it is when she's with the few people she absolutely trusts or in the privacy of her puppets; magickally-operated mannequins who obey her every whim.

Not only do they tend to her day & night but they act as her bodyguards & are the only ones she trusts to take care of coven matters when she's away. They act as her proxies, relaying messages & directives from her to the others, swiftly reporting back after. They can fight with weapons but cannot perform magick on their own. Their motto, much to the chagrin of some, is "The lady's word is law" as their loyalty to Wen is second to none.

Fun fact: The Chinese character on the puppets' masks is 人 'rén' which means 'person' or 'human being'. Wen Uuna belongs to my good friend @chaosentity 🌌

  Atieno finds themselves lounging - gazing while Wen is sorting something out or another. “It’s been a weird time. I don’t know - feeling kind of self-conscious in ways I’m not sure what to do about. Or if there’s anything I can do about it.“ There are moments despite their dark cosmic sense of self - the outlier nature of their existence vaguely pulls at them.

“I’m sure it’s a bit absurd to feel this way but.. I guess it’s just something I wanted to admit to someone.“

                     TWINKLING  FINGERS  GLIDE  THROUGH  WISPY  LOCKS  AS  BLACK  AS  NIGHT  ,   caught by calm stellar winds as the cosmos incarnate releases a contented sigh.    it is moments like these eternity relishes ,  slivers of time where all is peaceful   &   not a worry could plague them so  ,   &   yet ...    she seems to sense the eternal mind drifting.    a hand laid idle upon her hip would snake around her waist in silent response.    the stars would not be leaving her intimate company so long as they were wanted.

WEN AND NINA

send in a ship & i’ll tell you ….

who’s the cuddler: i’m going w/Wen for this mainly because she probably has a greater tolerance for staying in one place which cuddling kinda …. requires …. & ALSO because I like the idea of her cuddling up to Nina like a cat seeking warmth & yes i mean that in the exact like wriggly, persistent, obnoxious but also kinda endearing way that actual cats do …. tfw ur gf is a giant sexy furnace 😳

who makes the bed: do either of them care enough to do this …. DO they …. Nina doesn’t care at all so unless Wen does then the bed just, doesn’t get made

who wakes up first: if Wen chooses to go to sleep then it’s her by default bc Nina just doesn’t, ever, & also couldn’t even if she for some reason wanted to WHOOPS - 

who has the weird taste in music: u know what …. I think they’re tied …. considering where they come from & the places they’ve both been I think they bring equal amounts of weird music taste to the table & if they can ever calm the FUCK down together for ten seconds they’d probably enjoy learning about each other’s tastes

who is more protective: i’m gonna say Nina BECAUSE …. underneath all the contention & moral conflict & how these two like to purposely needle each other there IS affection there …. & it’s canon that Nina has an enormous complex about protecting people & will already go to insane lengths to do so, & that if she has feelings for someone her drive to protect them becomes even MORE intense …. anyway catch me thinking about a scenario where Nina dives in to protect Wen from something w/o even thinking about it & then eating herself alive inside afterwards bc of her & Wen’s moral conflict & how someone like Wen is SUPPOSED to be her enemy & the kind of being Nina SWORE to destroy so why the fuck did she just - 

who sings in the shower: I think Wen is more likely to just bc even without Nina’s whole ‘burn the dirt away’ thing she’s still the type to hurry through a shower to get it done with

who cries during movies: I DON’T THINK EITHER OF THEM DO ……

who spends the most while out shopping: i can’t answer this bc i’m too busy picturing these two taking each other on shopping trips. screw canon Nina’s stopping back to her homeworld purely so that she can blow a ton of money introducing Wen to Tauhrelian high fashion

who kisses more roughly: i think Nina does it more often bc she & Wen both enjoy it that way BUT …. every now & then Wen switches it up just to 😈

who is more dominant: NINA AGAIN …. like yes they’re both super dominant but Nina’s need for dominance arises from several extremely deeply-rooted psychological/emotional factors, all of them driven by her relationship with Zero, so that’s. hh. yeah

01. Moth Wings 🦋

After randomly sketching a moth fae character one day, I loved them so much I pestered my friend @chaosentity to create their bug-sona just so that I could pair them together ❤️ So meet Jasmin (he/they), a beautiful moth fae who's a bit of a celebrity where they're from. They're very tall & lanky so most probably they're a fashion model. Nycto is a spider fae who I imagined was hired as Jasmin's bodyguard & they hit it off right away~ Jasmin is very quiet & reserved, a bug of few words but they love Nycto's energy & let's them do all the talking for them. But don't be fooled! As they say, it's always the quiet ones you really have to watch out for.

Fun fact: Jasmin's color scheme is inspired by Polyphemus moths~ I also picked the name Jasmin bc the flower symbolizes 'sensual love' 😘💕

I think I would prefer being hugged by a bunny? Bunnies are really soft and cute, so I’d probably prefer a small animal whose cheeks I can pinch.

                SHE  DARES ,   THE  UNIVERSE  DELIVERS.    like a warm summers breeze the very essence of reality shifts   &   swirls ,  settling behind her being so tiny in contrast to the billion galaxies enveloping her form.    celestial fingertips find the small of her back ,  tracing the illusion of soft curves.    while the other glides slowly along the length of her arm   &   dips across a shoulder ,  trailing around her neck  ...  only to ascend   &   take gentle hold of her jaw.    stardust glistens against her ear as existence speaks lowly,       ❛   indulge  eternity  ...  what  exactly  will  happen.   ❜                        (  @chaosentity   x.  )

holds long claws at her chin, with pressure hinting at worse, but quickly pulls away & pecks where she nicked her, ' im kidding, of course. but you know what to do with a big, bad, chaotic entity now, don't you?' trying to seduce fhlwggyw

        “ Oh, I’m just not SURE, ” Nina says, her voice a mockery of shyness. She lounges in midair, lying front-down atop Zero’s vessel so that her face is on a level with Wen’s. “ I’m still such a YOUNG god. We can’t all have 777 lifetimes of experience to draw from …. and besides, I’m married, too, remember? ” She draws one finger in a lazy circle over her eyepatch, tracing the bone edge of the socket beneath. Her lone eye gleams with suppressed laughter and, behind that, something nameless and vicious.

        “ But …. ” Her finger slips under the eyepatch. “ I do know what to do with THAT big, bad, chaotic entity …. ” The eyepatch falls to the ground as Nina pushes her face dangerously close, so that Wen’s view is swallowed by the thing that Nina calls an eye socket, and which is so clearly not. Not with its endless depth; not with that green light licking at its wet insides; not when the flesh lining it still looks as red-raw and lymph-slickened now as it did more than twenty years ago –

        “ So, ” Nina says, and Zero bleeds furious jealousy into the air over what she plans on saying next: “ D’you want to know? ” Her grin splits her mouth at the corners and keeps growing; her face is an unreality of eyes and teeth, brimming with terrible light. “DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I DO WITH THIS MONSTER OF MINE?”
