Happy Trials of the Jedi Day! I’m on the wait list for the audiobook at the library, but in the mean time I thought I’d share some of the High Republic things I’ve made since I first started reading the books. Shop is here. I think this might have been the first High Republic design I made. Because Geode. Also available as a sticker and a keychain.

I found these gold lego lightsaber hilts and had to make a bunch of saber earrings. Stellan Gios' are my favorite, but I also love the double-saber pairs I made for Keeve Trennis and Gella Nattai! And I made a Vernestra Rwoh pair and an Avar & Elzar pair.

I made these motel-style souvenir keychains that I imagined Lina Soh might have had made for everyone at the Starlight Beacon Commemorative Launch! The Aurebesh reads "Starlight Beacon" on the top and "Commemorative Launch/7745 CRC" on the bottom.

These motel keychains for the Temple of the Kyber on Jedha and Takodana Castle fit in different places on the timeline, but both locations show up in The High Republic!

I also made these High Republic lanyard keychains and matching long lanyards, which have been one of your favorites. The Dishabesh text reads "for light and life."

And of course hair accessories! (The scrunchie is currently sold out but will be back soon!)

I also made this scrunchie and lanyard that include elements of Vernestra Rwoh's story both in The HIgh Republic books and in The Acolyte.

Happy May 4th?

I was wondering while watching a yearly update of the canon timeline, are you happy with Dooku’s place in the overall story of Star Wars, or is there something you would change or add? Would you like more, official stories, or is fanfic filling that gap adequately?

It’s funny - I *love* Jedi-era Dooku; it’s what I write the most of, and I’ve been so grateful that the official stories have given us more of that period of his life. I don’t agree with every single thing of course, but it’s so refreshing to see creators flesh out that part of the character, and get to know the person he was for like, 60-70 years before falling. I love that they capture elements I’ve always thought were a part of the character: this funny, warm, awkward, dramatic person, and not a cardboard cutout proto-villain loaded with lazy Dracula references.

That said, the supplemental canon has done exactly nothing with Dooku’s Sith era. Which is really fine, I have Yoda: Dark Rendezvous and Labyrinth of Evil to keep me warm in the night when I need Dooku to be a faithless miserable wet Sith cat. But it would be cool to see something.

I (and @dapurinthos in fact, it was probably their initial idea because it seems smarter than something I could have come up with) have been manifesting an AotC tie-in novel written by Cavan Scott for years now, lighting our little candles at the temple and making the correct sacrifices. (Ugh, they’ll probably give it to John Jackson Miller who will make Sifo-Dyas a dark sider. Yes, yes, the nonwhite disability-coded Jedi is very evil and quite insane, too, to blame for the downfall of the Jedi! What a hot fresh take!) But these films are like 25 years old and we still don’t know the very basics about the lead-up to the creation of the clone army. When and how Dooku got involved, to what degree he and Sifo-Dyas were working together, whether or not Sifo-Dyas knew it was goodbye when he looked into those big brown eyes the last time they made love etc etc... 

I also often spin in my mind the little detail that Cavan Scott was told to stay away from Dooku-training-Rael era when writing Dooku: Jedi Lost, and I’ve wondered if that was because someone had promised Claudia Gray, who created Rael and seems to adore the character, a crack at that era once High Republic was done. We don’t have an end game story for Rael yet, and I could see it being a TPM tie-in with flashbacks to Dooku training Rael, especially if my hypothesis that he very quickly runs afoul of the Sith machinations is correct.

About Geode: (by @oddogoblino) In an attempt to impress The Eggman, a mad yet inexperienced scientist stole Gerald Robotnik's blueprints of Project SHADOW and tried to improve on it to make the definitive true ultimate lifeform to defeat Sonic once and for all. To add insult to injury, the eggsupporter had chosen to use some of Sonic's DNA along with Shadow's, that'd been found from battle aftermaths, to make his creation. Before their prototype was even finished though, GUN had found out about Project REMASTERED. Rouge told Shadow about it before GUN could do a raid though so he could handle this personal matter how he found fit. Well, Shadow went and destroyed the lab of course, though he wasn't prepared to see just how early in development the project was. He was expecting something full grown but all he found was the prototype barely in the infant phase in its development. Being unable to just kill a baby or adopt this all powerful baby off to an unsuspecting family (and also being unknowingly motivated by Black Arms instincts to keep the species alive), Shadow decided to take the little hoglet in as his own. At first, Shadow was too caught up in caring for Geode off instinct to think about telling anyone about him, but just a few months in and Geode already began showing his defects in creation and Shadow turned to Sonic and Tails for help. Now, Geode has inhibitor rings to keep his chaos energy at a stable level and has been growing up comfortably from home to home, adventure to adventure. Geode himself though, by the time he's 16, is a very quiet, introverted, affectionate, emotional, compassionate, and sort of awkward character. He's not good at social but he cares about others and is very forgiving when hes wronged and has decent emotional intelligence. He's a "be mindful of how you use the water if the cup's half empty" kinda thinker. He's very curious on just about anything new he discovers. Others can think of him as being a bit simple minded sometimes though. People tend to overwhelm him easily so he finds most comfort in spending time with Chao. If he's not on a mission, he's a bit of a clumsy puppy of a guy. But, if Shadow puts 2 thoughts into something and Sonic puts none, then Geode only puts 1 thought into everything he does. He's a pacifist who can't bring himself to hurt living beings, he can fight nonsentient robots just fine but otherwise he prefers to trap any living enemies in whatever he can get his hands on. He's a stealth type and has a habit of stealing artifacts and other magical things he deems too powerful to let be taken even by his dads. He can see chaos auras 24/7 to a heightened sense, being able to see the chaos energy even in plants along with being able to see the chaos energy left behind from those deceased (aka, ghosts). He's faster than Sonic but he's weaker than Shadow. He loves the world around him very dearly, having Sonic's passion for life/the world and Shadow's determination to fight for himself. Geode also has picked up mechanics as a small hobby though he's not very passionate about it.

About Brutus: (by @susahnasomething) A genetically enhanced clone of Shadow (mixed with Sonic's DNA) Brutus was made and raised by Eclipse the Darkling, who hoped to bring back the black arms by making a bunch of super powerful clones. This was not good for her. Eventually the heroes defeated Eclipse, and Shadow rescued her (not her clone siblings sadly, cause SOMEONE DECIDED THAT THERE SHALL ONLY BE ONE) and was then raised by sonadow. Brutus is a dark and conceited girl, reminding everyone of past shadow. Who firmly believes she cannot be killed nor destroyed, so she tends to throw herself into danger. (shes the ultimate lifeform nothing can hurt her!!) . . . totally!
