In fairness to him, Abel usually wasn’t drunk this early on, he usually held out at least until the tributes got settled, but with Ox’s name being pulled, and all those fresh memories creeping back into his thoughts, he couldn’t help himself with the whiskey on the train. “You look like you’re lost” he pointed out when he saw another wide eyed tribute walking the tower halls. “I can be your tour guide— where do ya need to be?”

“Do you need any help?” Rush asked as he approached the district seven tribute. He’d been watching his own pair for a while, but decided to hold back, because he hadn’t been much help to his last tributes, he was questioning whether he was doing more harm than good. He couldn’t help it though, when Linden went towards the rope section. He’d only been practising this, and he needed something to keep him busy, didn’t he?

Abel just smiled at her surprise. It was nice, almost made him forget about the cruel circumstances of why she was here in the first place. "All possible, hasn't fallen yet, so we're good. Would you like to see the rooftop garden?"
"crazy." Linden murmured, looking up at the elevator, clear as water and shooting up into the sky with people in tow. "and it never falls?" she checked, following him over to it. "it looks... I can't believe this is possible, let alone real."

"Of course" Rush grinned, happy to give someone help, even though he wasn't always sure what people thought of him when he helped other districts out too. "So I can show you a good one for hanging something from a branch of a tree, it's useful if there's like a forest or something"
"yes please." Linden knew basic knots, she'd tied up shoes and clotheslines often enough. but that was about all she knew, and the station looked useful, so she'd made her way over. there were diagrams, ones she could probably follow without the words, but help from someone who could show her would be more helpful. "I do know a little. but I want to learn more."

“To be honest, I’ve never really checked” Abel laughed. The public elevator only lead to so many, mostly just the district appointed floors, but he was sure there were more. “There’s a rooftop too, view is pretty nice” he smiled. “It’s something to do with architecture, at least that’s what I’ve been told, I had similar questions when I first got here too”
“Yep, there’s balconies” he smiled. “Nice way to take in the city without breaking any rules” he added. “Each floor is dedicated to a district, so you’ll have a place to hang out outside of training and the like” Abel continued, stepping into the elevator and waiting for her to join.

Rush nodded. It made sense. But anything even remotely like a forest caused a chill to run up his spine, so close to his own, and even though his journey was not as traumatic as some victors, it was still hard to think back to.
“Tada” he held up his knot, then undid his hard work and handed it over to her so she could try. “I think you could be right”

Abel chuckled at her words, remembering the same exact feeling on his first day in the tower. “I can do that” he agreed happily, and pointed towards the elevator, which was always a good start.
“The first floor is really just the lobby, always packed on days like this”
