ChoHakkaimon's tamer gets concerned about her Digimon's missing torso costume piece and sews her one themselves. How would she react?

ChoHakkaimon is a pretty optimistic Digimon, she doesn't let much get to her really. And since she's usually pretty happily fed now that she's with a Tamer and they make her meals, they don't have to worry about her getting a little bit much, as she can get a bit out of control when she's hungry.

However, getting out of hand was never a concern for her Tamer when it came to her. No, it seemed her Tamer was much more concerned over the fact that, when it came to ChoHakkaimon's outfit, she didn't have a middle piece for it. Only having a headpiece and leg pieces.

So, her Tamer set to work on making a middle piece for her. Sure, maybe it wouldn't be made out of a strong material like what makes up the headpiece and legs... but her Tamer was determined. ChoHakkaimon just let her Tamer work in piece, since she knew that her Tamer had a knack for sitting down and sewing things often. So, she just ate the snacks that her Tamer bought her while she watched movies in her Tamer's home.

ChoHakkaimon actually lets out a loud squeal of joy when her Tamer presents her the piece. Why wouldn't she be excited? Her Tamer made her something to go with what she always wears! Of course she'd be ecstatic to receive something that was made with such care! She's sitting and praising her Tamer the entire time as they help her put it on, covering her torso perfectly.

Sure, it isn't made of the same code and data that the rest is made from, but honestly? ChoHakkaimon is just happy that her Tamer did something so thoughtful for her, and she can't stop sitting and thanking her Tamer - perhaps a little overly but she can't help it! She's so happy!

Now she has something that she can always look at to remind herself of her Tamer whenever they're apart for one reason or another. She definitely shows off to Digimon she has made friends with and can't help but gush over how cute it is that her Tamer made her something like this... It really made her day!

You know what? I’m gonna make a full line for Opossummon then:

ChuuChuumon is admittedly a bit of an outlier since it’s never been documented Digivolving into Opossummon and ChuuChuumon’s cards have currently only ever been Black and/or Purple while our currently only Opossummon card is Yellow but it’s also a mouse-like Beast Type wearing red gloves with a similar tail to Opossummon and is a subspecies of Chuumon, who has been depicted as a Yellow card allowing Digivolution to Opossummon

Etemon and Piedmon on the other hand have both been depicted as Yellow cards, usually Yellow dual colors with Etemon’s second color being Black and Piedmon’s primary color being Purple. They’re also my favorite villains from Adventure and two favorite Digimon in general alongside ChuuChuumon, Damemon/Tuwarmon and the classic duo of Sukamon & Chuumon.

ChuuChuumon and Etemon are also both classified as Puppet Type like Opossummon’s most recognized Stage V, Cho-Hakkaimon who hilariously has a Yellow/Black card which is Etemon's most common card color combination though card did swap color order:

Sora's Heart Hotel as DigiDestineds:

Sora Caelum has the Crests of Hope (coz he's good at giving people hope &, before Xehanort finally succeeds in shattering Sora, the enbe's good at hoping for a nice future) and Wrath (he loses themself in rage many times, but learns to channel it constructively). Her Digimon partner's nickname is Sky (in honour of Sora's biological mum Skye Caelum née Rangi). Sky's digivolution line consists of: Botamon; Wanyamon; Liollmon; Leomon or Rukamon/Dolphmon; ViciousMeicrackmon (when digivolving from Leomon) or Mermaimon (when digivolving from Rukamon/Dolphmon); ClavisAngemon (when matrix digivolving with Sora). Whenever Sky digivolves, the Crest of Hope or the Crest of Wrath (depending on which trait the duo emotionally connected over at the time) appears on the screen of Sora's digivice; whenever a digivolution fails due to the partners not being in sync with each other or having issues they haven't even tried to resolve, nothing happens.

Naminé Caelum has the Crests of Knowledge (coz they is good at using their knowledge of others to their advantage and gladly shares their information on various things with other people) and Envy (coz their jealousy over others' friendships, fuelled by loneliness & being abused, prompts them to make some cruel decisions before they redeems themself). Naminé's Digimon partner's nickname is Kioku. Kioku's digivolution line consists of: Dokimon; Budmon; Diarimon; Sorcerimon/Sorcermon; Fantomon/Phantomon; Gokumon/Reapermon.

Roxas Takirua has the Crests of Knowledge (coz he always wants to learn things, to understand both how stuff works and why other people make the decisions they do) and Wrath (coz he has a hot temper that bursts out whenever he's confused and especially when someone is being cruel to him or his friends). His Digimon partners' nicknames are Hikari & Yami. Hikari's digivolution line consists of: YukimiBotamon; Nyaromon; Plotmon/Salamon; Tailmon/Gatomon; Angewomon; Mastemon. Yami's consists of: Botamon; Nyaromon; Shalamon (which doesn't exist in canon); BlackTailmon/BlackGatomon; LadyDevimon; Mastemon. Hikari & Yami are twins who jogress digivolve (a.k.a. fusion of two Digimon, in this case done as Angewomon & LadyDevimon respectively) to reach their Mega form, neither of them matrix digivolving with Roxas; whereas all of the others' Digimon partners reach Mega by fusing with their respective human partners. Mastemon is the strongest of the six Mega Level Digimon, due to being the result of two Ultimates combining their power.

Shion Takirua (formerly Xion, originally No.i) has the Crests of Courage (coz she does what she believes is right despite feeling scared) and Pride (her tendency to make a decision on other people's behalf, although well-intentioned, is arrogant as she – before eventually growing out of it – believes her solution is best for everyone instead of asking others what they want to do). Her Digimon partner's nickname is Pūmahara. Pūmahara's digivolution line consists of: Botamon; Tsumemon; Copipemon; NoirSistermon (called Sistermon Noir in canon); ChoHakkaimon (called Cho-Hakkaimon in canon); Ofanimon/Ophanimon.

Vanitas Ducimus has the Crests of Sincerity (coz ze's always honest, though ze does sometimes say genuine things whilst knowing other people will accidentally misinterpret zir words as zir choice of words was specifically done to manipulate them) and Greed (ze wants a lot of things, willing to steal and even kill to get them). Zir Digimon partner's nickname is Dusk. Dusk's digivolution line consists of: Cocomon/Conomon; Chocomon/Kokomon; Lopmon; Wendimon; Baalmon; Murmukusmon. Dusk is Dawn's twin.

Ventus "Ven" Aurora has the Crests of Kindness (coz he's a nice person who wants to help other people – random strangers included – and is loyal to his friends along with learning eventually to be reliable) and Sloth (one of the things Ven learns during his adventures is that trying to avoid thinking 'bout bad things by slacking off with new acquintances & leaving responsibilities for other people to take care of is selfish). Ven's Digimon partner's nickname is Dawn. Dawn's digivolution line consists of: Zerimon; Gummymon; Terriermon; Darcmon; PriestHolyAngemon (called HolyAngemon Priest/MagnaAngemon Priest in canon); FatedDestinyRapidmon (called Golden Rapidmon X in canon). Dawn is Dusk's twin.

Do you know why Sanzomon is with those other digimon in her card art? Chohakkaimon, Gokuwmon and Shawujinmon I think. Is it random or a reference?

Gokuwmon, Sanzomon, Cho-Hakkaimon, and Sagomon.

So, what do these Digimon have in common? It’s probably not that obvious to Western fans, but these Digimon are based on the main characters from the famous Chinese tale 西遊記  Xī Yóu Jì, “Journey to the West”.

First off, we have Gokuwmon, who is based on the Monkey King, 孫悟空 Sūn Wùkōng, or how the Japanese transcription reads, Son Gokū. This character has inspired other popular culture characters before, most well known, Son Goku from Dragon Ball. The monkey looking tailed beast of the Naruto series, the four-tail, Son Goku, is also named after this character.

The "w” in Gokuwmon is supposed to show it should be pronounced like a “coo” sound.

Next we have Sanzomon, who is based on the monk 唐三藏 Táng Sānzàng, which is read as Sanzō in Japanese.

Then Cho-Hakkaimon is based on the Pig 豬八戒  Zhū Bājiè, read as Cho Hakkai in Japanese.

Lastly Sagomon is based on 沙悟淨 Shā Wùjìng, read as Sagojo in Japanese. It is a recolor of Shawujinmon, which is named after the same character.

While Gokuwmon, Sanzomon, and Sagomon seem to share somewhat of a design philosophy, Cho-Hakkaimon does stick out a little, which probably makes the group look more confusing if you don't know the reference.

However, while Shawujinmon debuted in 2006, in the Digivice iC 20X toy in relation to the Digimon Savers series, its recolor Sagomon debuted in a Digimon Jintrix set later in 2011, along with the other three of the group

It’s really interesting. It feels like once you’re even a little familiar with elements from “Journey to the West” you’ll notice references to it in many popular franchises.

Digimon Xros Wars: Hunters Ep5 Liveblog

Yuu is still wishing he could meet back up with Damemon. But, Airu (and the other rival hunters) steal the spotlight!

so this episode is all about Airu? and we get to learn a little bit more about the rival team, too, like the fact that they count on Airu to set traps for Digimon

I'm a little worried about how Airu's gonna be written since the last series wasn't exactly the best when it came to writing its girls but so far she's not that bad. i always like characters who sit around and talk about cute things but then turn around and do stuff like building complex machinery, it's a good juxtaposition.

ah. so that's cutemon's game.

ok I had been wondering what exactly Yuu's living situation was. the place he and the others currently live in doesn't look like the hometown he made an illusion out of with Taomon, so I was wondering if maybe he moved or something. his living situation is: everybody else is abroad so he lives alone.

everybody gets to evolve today! ChoHakkaimon is. pretty silly looking, to say the least. it's a stretch to even call this a "monster"... (which also seems to be the case with the rest of the rival team's evolutions)

so it was the exact same place Yuu and Damemon met!

Feb 9th - Favorite Digimon Partner

This is a pretty easy one.

Yes, it’s Opossummon! Airu’s partner, they are the perfect counterpart for the trapper. Especially for their ultimate form - ChoHakkaimon.

Even then, I just love how well they syngerize with the rest of Airu’s team. But that’s the topic for tomorrow.

Gravity Falls - Digimon AU

There’s more headcannons about Gravity Falls in my Digimon AU.

In order to make longer this AU and develop certain characters and also add a reason to make their partners evolve. I wish to add the events from deleted/scrapped episodes, the Graphic Novel, Journal 3, Gravity Falls: Colored Cursed book and the shorts.

The Gravity Falls: Lost Legends and the Cursed Colored Book, will count as OVA’s. XD. Since they happen after the end of the series.

Bill and the Henchmaniacs have their own Digivice named the Cipher-Loader, that is a yellow digivice that resembles Bill in the shape of a digivice and allows them to do Forced Digi-Xroses with the monsters of their surroundings, also they have a darkness form, like in the series.

The shout Bill and their henchmaniacs use to activate the Cipher-Loader is “Cipher-Loader! DIGI XROS!”. Similar to the shout used in Digimon Xros Wars.

I wish the fights againist the Henchmaniacs (who are Digimons in this AU) take longer than in the series. In fact I wish that there could be chapters dedicated to show one or a group of characters fighting againist one of Bill’s Hechmaniacs at the time, similar in Bakugan, where existed an episode dedicated to both develop a character and defeat one of the cronies of Naga. I have some headcannons for this:

After Gideon’s redemption. Dipper, Wendy and Soos have the path clear, but suddenly, not much walking 8-Ball (HachiTamamon) comes and identifyes Dipper as the kid who scaped him, Dracomon, Erismon and Ballistamon (Dipper, Wendy and Soos’ respectively partners) evolve to their highest levels and fight, 8-Ball seems to be so strong, in fact he eventually uses the Cipher-Loader to become stronger. They will eventually kill him and they’re able to continue their way.

After saving Mabel, they cross with Hectorgon (Hexamon), who identifyies the kids who killed 8-Ball previously and wants to delete them personally. Dipper, Mabel, Wendy and Soos fight him and eventually kill him.

All the Hechmaniacs have the same power as an Ultimate-Leveled Digimon (Mega-Leveled in the USA dub), this, along the Cipher-Loader makes them some of the most powerful digimons that the protagonists have ever faced.

Like many people headcannonize and as seen in that delete scene with the “Bone Coat”, Bill (Ciphermon) cares less to nothing if his Henchmaniacs die or not, he belives that there’s more than the ones they came with him. Also, since he can control time, he can resurrect them.

During the Shackatron’s battle, Bill had a surprise, he revived the Henchmaniacs the protagonists killed and fused them into something that resembles an attraction from the Mystery Shack/GrandGeneramon/Chimairamon. If you don’t get what I’m saying, use these images for a reference to understand what I’m saying:

Dipper’s digimon is a Dracomon, he evolves into Coredramon for the first time to fight the Gnomes , albeit he’s not strong enough to defeat them.

Dipper’s Dracomon evolves into Wingdramon during the fight againist the Summerween Trickster (SagiKyandimon).

Dipper’s Dracomon evolves into Examon for the first time, in the fight againist Gideon. (Gideon Rises)

Mabel, like Takato she created her own Digimon. Waddles (Waddlemon) is a digimon Mabel invented.

Mabel’s Waddlemon evolves into GladiBoarmon for the first time, when they fight againist a Gremoblin (Gremoblimon). Still GladiBoarmon had a hard time fighting it.

Mabel’s Waddlemon evolves into ChoHakkaimon for the first time to save her Grunkle Stan, when he fought againist a Pteramon.

Mabel’s Waddlemon evolves into SaintWaddlemon for the first time to exorcise Bill from Dipper’s body. (Sock Opera)

Grunkle Stan beats a Pteramon in mid-air, like that Pterodactyl. Since the Pteramon was roaming in Earth, Stan used this moment to play his “Dumb Old-Man facade). So, yeah. Stan defeats a digimon with his bare hands, when he falls, Mabel’s feelings of seeing her Grunkle falling, are channeled to Waddles and he evolves into ChoHakkaimon for the first time, saving Stan in the process.

Stan already knew of Dracomon and Waddlemon, but he played the “Dumb Old-Man” facade to pretend he didn’t belived them. In fact, he acted as an idiot to prevent Dipper and Mabel from getting in danger.

Stan received DORUmon before Ford.

Stan’s DORUmon evolved into DORUgamon, for the first time to save them from an Octmon when they were kids.

Stan regains DORUmon, when fighting againsit the zombies. Also this is the first time he evolves into DORUgamon after it’s resurrection.

Stan’s DORUmon evolves for the first time, after it’s recovery in DORUguremon, at one point in that scrapped episode of Stanentology.

Stan’s DORUmon evolves for the first time into Alphamon, to fight Dipper and Soos’ partners. (Not What He Seems)

The evolution sequence of DORUmon and Stan doing the Matrix Evolution to Alphamon is first seen in “The Stanchurian Candidate”.

Despite Ford is still mad at Stan, he still greets DORUmon like a friend.

Ford’s Ryudamon is seen in flashbacks until he regains it later.

Ford regains Ryudamon somewhere between “The Last Mabelcorn” and “Roadside Attraction”.

Ford’s Ryudamon scapes along Dipper and Dracomon, by Ford’s request, after he’s defeated and turned into gold by Bill, Ryudamon accompaines Dipper, Wendy and Soos during their quest to save Mabel, but since Ford is not with him, he cannot evolve.

These are all my headcannons. I hope you like this.
