Digital Rebirth (BMC Digimon AU)

One-shot. After a hard battle, Jeremy is left heartbroken from the tragic casualty of his Digimon partner. But when a mysterious egg appears shortly after Circuitmon’s death, Jeremy and Michael learn that Digimon never really die.

Kind of a sequel to this last one-shot by @janethepegasus (references for Digimon appearances here and here)

“Circuitmon! Where are you?!”

“Retromon! Answer me, dude!” Jeremy and Michael’s voices were hoarse as they staggered through the smoke-filled street. The remnants of the battle still lingered; Rich and Roostdramon were making sure there were no more enemies, leaving Jeremy and Michael to look for their fallen Digimon.

The two of them had barely managed to win the battle, but their Digivices had been silent and there was no sign of their Digital pals. Finally, they turned a corner onto another street, where two small figures lay on the asphalt, one red and one blue.

“Circuitmon!”

“Retromon!” The boys knelt by their respective Digimon, carefully scooping them into their arms.

“Hey, Retromon, talk to me, bud!” Michael called gently. The Digimon was unresponsive, but seemed to be breathing; he was probably just exhausted.

“Circuitmon?!” Michael’s head shot up at Jeremy’s cry. His eyes widened; Circuitmon…was disappearing. His body was slowly dissolving away into pixels, floating into the sky like snowflakes.

“W-What’s going on?!” Jeremy cried. “Circuitmon, what’s wrong?!”

“I’m sorry, Jeremy…” The Digimon said weakly. “I…used up all of my energy; I…no longer have the energy to…stay here.” Jeremy’s eyes widened in realization while Michael sucked in a breath.

“No…” Jeremy whimpered, holding him tighter. “No no no, you can’t, Circuitmon!” He hugged him close, already no longer feeling the bottom half of the Digimon’s body. “You can’t die, Circuitmon, you can’t! You’re one of my best friends!”

“I…feel the same…Jeremy,” Circuitmon whispered. “Don’t worry…it will be alright…” Jeremy pulled away as Circuitmon was almost completely gone. “Goodbye…Jeremy…”

“Circuitmon…!” The Digimon completely dissolved, the Digivice’s screen becoming static. “CIRCUITMON!”

Jeremy curled in on himself and burst into sobs, the pixels disappearing. Michael unconsciously tightened his hold on Retromon, glancing down to make sure he wasn’t disappearing either. Jeremy hugged himself as his wails and cries echoed around them, making Michael’s eyes heat up as well. His vision started to blur with his own tears when he noticed a soft glow coming from Jeremy’s Digivice.

Jeremy noticed it to, as he lifted his head as a small spotlight came from the static screen. Numbers and code appeared in the light, spinning around one another to slowly form a shape.

A few moments later, the code seemed to solidify, and an egg hovered in the light of the Digivice. The egg was about half a foot tall and had a dark blue base while lines of light blue streaked around it.

Jeremy wiped his eyes and slowly reached towards the egg, taking it out of the light while Michael limped over to him, Retromon still in his arms. Jeremy stared at the egg, glancing down at his Digivice, finding that the static had stopped, leaving the screen black.

Despite the confusion, Jeremy couldn’t help but hug the egg close, and Michael could understand why. It had the same colors as Circuitmon.

The next morning, Michael stood outside Jeremy’s room and took a deep breath. He glanced at Retromon by his side and gently knocked on the door.

“Jeremy?” He called. “It’s uh, it’s Michael and Retromon; can we come in?” There wasn’t an answer; maybe he was asleep. Jeremy hadn’t come to school that day, and according to Mr. Heere, hadn’t left his room, leaving both Michael and Retromon worried.

Michael quietly opened the door and the duo peeked inside to see that sure enough, Jeremy was curled up on his bed, sound asleep. Michael felt a touch of relief that Jeremy was actually asleep and not staying awake due to grief. If he was, Michael wouldn’t blame him. After what had happened, Michael wouldn’t blame him.

Michael and Retromon entered and stood over Jeremy, seeing that he was hugging the large blue egg to his chest as he lay on his side.

Michael smiled sadly at the sight, as well as the drying wet spots on his cheeks. “Hey, Jere,” He gently shook his shoulder.

Jeremy stirred and his eyes cracked open, “Michael?” He mumbled.

“Yeah, it’s me; Retromon too,” Michael said softly. “How you doing, bud?”

Jeremy avoided his eyes, not moving, “Okay,” He said halfheartedly.

Retromon stepped closer and looked at the egg, “Michael told me about the weird egg from your Digivice,” He said.

That seemed to catch Jeremy’s attention, “Do you know what it is?”

“It’s exactly what it looks like,” Retromon said. “It’s a Digital egg, a Digiegg; it’s made exactly how we Digimon are made.”

Jeremy slowly sat up, still holding the egg close. “What does that mean?”

Retromon shrugged with a smirk, “Eh, you’ll see.”

“Dude, c’mon,” Michael said exasperated.

“What? Look, it’s hatching right now.” Retromon pointed. Sure enough, cracks were starting to appear in the shell. Jeremy jumped and stood up as the egg shook slightly. The top half of the egg popped off and a little blob emerged.

“Whoa!” Jeremy dropped the egg shell as the blob jumped right out of the egg and into Jeremy’s hand, two little eyes looking up at him. The little guy fit almost perfectly in Jeremy’s palm. It was dark blue on the bottom half while the top half seemed to be like a glass dome where two little eyes could be seen within. Two little light blue antennae poked out about where a nose would probably be, and Jeremy couldn’t help but notice that the color scheme was almost exactly like Circuitmon’s.

The Digimon smiled up at him happily, “Pix! Pix pix!” It chirped, bouncing in Jeremy’s hand, making the teen cup his hands to keep the tiny creature from falling.

“Dude…is that a baby Digimon?” Michael asked. “Sure is; that little guy is Pixmon,” Retromon answered with a smirk. “Circuitmon’s first form.”

Jeremy abruptly looked up at Retromon, his eyes wide with hope, “So…this is…”

“Yep, that’s Circuitmon; he just got reborn,” Retromon said.

“But…But how?” Michael asked, running his hands through his hair in disbelief. “It’s a failsafe we Digimon have,” Retromon explained. “If we take too much damage causing us to be deleted, our Digivice has multiple backup packets of our initial data, allowing us to be reborn as our smallest and weakest form.”

“No way…” Michael breathed. “That’s…that’s such a relief.”

Jeremy held Pixmon close to his chest, gently stroking the small Digimon, “He’s okay…” He whispered. “I didn’t lose him…he’s okay…”

Michael smiled as Jeremy’s eyes were bright with life once again. Pixmon cooed and nuzzled up against Jeremy, relishing the warmth he brought. Maybe things really were going to be alright.

That night, Jeremy and Michael decided on ordering pizza, as Jeremy’s dad wasn’t going to be home until late. The two boys and their Digimon sat on the couch, the TV blaring in front of them as they ate pizza, Jeremy feeding smaller chunks to Pixmon who was sitting on his knee.

Once they were done and Jeremy and Michael went to throw the empty boxes, Pixmon jumped up to the table, where he promptly froze, eyes wide.

“Pixmon?” Jeremy asked worriedly.

“Pix pix pix!” The Digimon said, and a bright light surrounded it. Jeremy and Michael covered their eyes, Jeremy’s Digivice vibrating. The light faded and a new Digimon stood in Pixmon’s place.

The creature was about the size of a small cat, walking on all fours. It was now oval shaped, and the two horns on its face had changed to small horn-like ears while a little nose appeared in its proper place along with a little tail. The creatures eyes were also no longer within the dome and looked up at Jeremy with a smile.

“You Digivolved,” Jeremy stated dumbly.

“I did,” The Digimon said, its tail wagging slightly as it rested its front paws on Jeremy’s arm. “I’m Nanomon, Circuitmon’s Training form.”

“Nanomon,” Jeremy repeated, picking up the still small Digimon and cradling it. They were almost there…Circuitmon was almost back.

Nanomon remained the same throughout the rest of the night and through the next morning. It wasn’t until after lunch when Nanomon suddenly froze and was covered by a bright light. Jeremy and Michael shot to their feet as Jeremy’s Digivice began to vibrate and glow.

“Nanomon, Digivolve to…Circuitmon!” The light faded and Circuitmon stood in Nanomon’s place as good as new.

Circuitmon looked himself over in satisfaction and turned to his human, “I’ve successfully returned to my-” He was cut off as Jeremy fell to his knees and scooped the small Digimon into a tight hug.

“Circuitmon…” Jeremy whispered, tears coming to his eyes. “You’re back…thank goodness.”

“I am,” Circuitmon said, confusion on his face. “I assumed Retromon had explained my situation to you.” He received a nod from the other Digimon.

“I missed you,” Jeremy said softly. “I missed you so much.”

Circuitmon blinked, “You…missed me?”

Jeremy nodded silently, tears slowly dripping from his closed eyes. “I thought you were dead, I thought I’d lost you!” He cried, his shoulders shaking. “Why didn’t you tell me that you can get reborn?!”

Circuitmon winced as Jeremy’s hold on him seemed to be getting tighter. “I apologize Jeremy, but the process of rebirth is very rare so I didn’t think there was any need to tell you.”

“Well, you should’ve!” Jeremy exclaimed, pulling away for a bit to look at Circuitmon with teary eyes. “I watched you die, I actually thought you were gone! I was…” Jeremy trailed off and lowered his head. “I was so scared…”

Circuitmon’s eyes softened and guilt glinted in them, “I…I’m sorry Jeremy,” He said softly. “I didn’t realize this would cause you so much distress; if I had, I would have told you sooner. I’m truly sorry.”

Jeremy pulled the Digimon back into a tight hug, “At least you’re back now,” He said softly. “And don’t ever scare me like that again.”

“That is a very vague request, Jeremy,” Circuitmon said. “But…I will try.” He slowly raised his paws to return the hug, and in response, Jeremy hugged him all the tighter. “Jeremy, you’re squishing me,” Circuitmon said through a pained noise.

“I know, I feel it,” Jeremy said through a wince.

“Then why aren’t you letting go?” Circuitmon asked.

“Cause it means you’re back,” Jeremy said, his voice cracking. “I can feel your pain again, it means you’re really back.”

“Jeremy…” Circuitmon said softly. The Digimon continued to hug his human partner while Michael and Retromon watched in the back with relieved smiles. Things were back to normal.

A Digital Pal (BMC Digimon AU FanFic)

A one-shot of @pika-ace‘s Digimon AU.

"It's from japan, it's a grey oblong device. Quantum Advanced Technology A.I....The nano circuit in the device will scan through my brain and then it packs up data and makes a mon for me...." Jeremy said to himself. That phrase echos in his mind ever since the day he learned about Digimon, he even remembers the very day it happened.

He was in the bathroom, trying to wash off the "Boyf" sign from his backpack, but then Rich came in catching him in the act. He was afraid that he would get a beating of a lifetime, but then all of the sudden, Rich started acting weird. He was talking to someone that he couldn't see, which creeped him out, but Rich stopped him before he had a chance to run. That's where he told Jeremy all about Digimon, even showing off his own, a dinosaur like creature with some feathers on the head and tail called Roostdramon. Ironic for his Digital Monster to have rooster features when literally he dyed the front of his hair red to look like a rooster.

Not only did Rich told him everything about Digimon, but he also offered him to get one of his own. He just has to pay a guy at Payless 600 dollars to do so, luckily he's not gonna be alone doing this. He told his best friend, Michael, about the whole deal and he offered himself to tag along, just in case if things go wrong. Now he has to meet Michael first before he could do anything, that's why he's all alone in the mall, he's looking for his buddy.

But it seems Micheal found him as from a distance, Jeremy sees Micheal running at full speed towards him, "Jeremy!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.

Jeremy stopped and was surprised on how fast he was going, suddenly he got a big friendly hug from Michael after reaching his top speed, "H-Hey Micheal! W-What's the rush?"

Micheal lets him go and looks at him with a bright smile on his face, "Dude, while i was waiting for you, i met this guy at Spencer's Gifts and he was offering me some Crystal Pepsi!" he said with a grin

"Woah, really?"

"Yeah! Cause i told him i was waiting for you to make that weird deal at Payless and he's basically doing the same thing with me! But with 90's soft drinks instead!" said Michael

Jeremy awkwardly laughs, "Wow, you really like to go the distance to get the sweet taste of canceled 90's drinks, don't you?"

"Yep!"

Michael calmed himself down for a bit as the two know what they're gonna do now, "So....are we gonna do this thing?" said Michael

"Yep. I even got the money to get it." he said, pulling out the 400 dollars that he had to round up from around the house.

"Then let's go! Two players going on a special side quest!" said Michael

Jeremy rolls his eyes, "Michael, this isn't an RPG you know." he said, as they walked on forward.

The two bros walk towards Payless, rightfully ignoring all of the shoes there and head straight towards the cashier. He looked somewhat dusty, his hair looked a bit unclean but he looked focused. Jeremy and Michael walked up to the guy, who quickly looked at the two straight in the eye.

"What do you want?" he said, in a serious tone.

Jeremy sweated a little, feeling a bit nervous and unsure of saying this in public, considering how you can't even look it up so you have to take word of mouth. He said, as privately as he possibly could, "I-I-I'm here f-f-for the......Digi.....vice....?

The man stared at Jeremy and Michael for a bit, and then he nodded, opened the small door on the cashier side and signaled them to come in. They followed and he leads them to a room in the back, where there's literally no one in there, except for the storage of shoes.

He looks at them and said, "Wait here."

Jeremy and Michael stay put as the man got into the closet and went in there to get it, while they were waiting, Michael covered his head with his hoodie and clinged on to Jeremy for protection. As for Jeremy, he felt very nervous, he doesn't know what's gonna happen to his life once he takes the deal. Would he be more of a weirdo now that he talks to a digital monster that lives in an advanced Tomogatchi? What does a Digimon exactly do to you once you get one? So many questions flow through his head but it all stopped once the guy came back. He walked up to Jeremy and showed him a box.

"Ladies running shoes?"

The guy opens up the box and it reveals the device, sitting comfrontably inside. But Jeremy noticed something about the device.....

"It's grey.....it doesn't-"

The man interupted him, "Have colorful markings like Rich? Well, his is activated. This one, is not."

Jeremy was surprised by this, "Wait, how did you know that i was gonna say that?"

The man shurgged, "Lucky guess."

Michael leaned in and saw the device, "Woah dude, this thing is real!" he whispered.

The man stared at Jeremy and said in a serious voice, "Do you have the money?"

"O-Oh! Yes i do!"

He digged into his pocket and yanked out the 400 dollars, he gives it to the guy, then he puts it in his pocket. The man grabs the device and lifts it out of the box,

he shows it in front of the two while throwing the box away.

"Just so we're clear, this is untested technology. These have never passed over to the west seas, so that's exactly why you're paying this with cash." He points to a button on the bottom, "Once you turn this on, the nano circuit will implant itself in your skin so keep in mind that it's basically going through your body just to make a Digimon."

He hands over the device to Jeremy and places it in his hand, "I hold no responceabiity to what you or it might do." he stares at the two boys with a intimidating glare, "All sales are final."

He signals them to leave and the two boys leave not only the room, but the Payless as well. They walk far away from the place as Jeremy looks at his new "digivice", with all of those questions lingering in his head again.

Micheal, now with his hoodie down, looks at Jeremy and the device and said, "Sooooo.....you just....press that button and it goes through your body to scan your brain?" he said, while pointing towards the activation button.

"I guess, but i still have no idea what it's gonna do to me at all." he sighs, "It's all up in the air for me, honestly."

Jeremy puts the device in his pocket and looks at Michael, "Look, i'm gonna activate this thing once i get home. And then i'll see what it does."

"Okay, but you let me know all about it okay?" Jeremy nods, "Great! Now, if you excuse me, i got some Crystal Pepsi to own!"

And just like that, Michael whiped out of Jeremy's sight, chasing his 90's soft drink exchange. Jeremy sighed and was ready to go home, but then he hears a familiar voice from a distance, it was......Christine~

Maybe this is the right time to confess to her, even if he now owns a weird advanced device. He speed walks towards Christine but then he sees that Jake is in the distance, but even so, he was willing to confess.

"Shouldn't we wait for the rest of the cast?" said Christine

"Yeeeeaaaahhh.....we're not meeting the rest of the cast." Jake nervously sweated a little, "I figured we could get to know each other, alone."

He smiles brightly, "That's why i'm taking to one of my favorite spots in the universe, Sbarro-"

Suddenly, Jeremy makes an enterance in the conversation.

"C-Christine!" he said, catching up with Christine

Christine notices Jeremy, "Oh! Jeremy, i didn't see you there."

Jake rolls his eyes, "Yeah, you're kinda hard to notice." he turns his attention towards Christine, "And the best part, they let you pick whatever you want-"

Seeing how Jake is taking the girl of his dreams acts quickly, "Wait, Christine!" they turn their attention towards him, "There's....something i need to tell you..."

Jake annoyingly sighs, "Now?"

Jeremy gets a little nervous doing this, so much so that he slides his hands into his pockets, "Well.....i.....i...."

But he was too nervous to notice that his thumb accidentally presses the on button on the Digivice, plus his hand was in the right position (that is behind the device) for the thing to do the procedure.

All of the sudden, Jeremy felt a sudden jolt on his hand, "OW!" he flips his hands out of his pockets, kinda surprising Christine and Jake. He looks at his hands and notices the Digivice in his hand, "Oh no...."

Suddenly, he hears a robotic voice speaking to him, "TARGET MALE: ACCESSABLE"

His arm starts to flinch and Jeremy feels a truck-load of pain rushing through it, as if his arm was being electrocuted, "OW!! WHAT THE HELL?!"

"CALIBRATION IN PROCESS, PLEASE EXCUSE SOME MILD DISCOMFORT."

"MILD?!" he shouted on the top of his lungs.

Anyone who was seeing the act was standing there, some where pulling out their phones and recording the scene. While Christine and Jake, who are in the middle of the whole thing, watch in horror with no idea what to do.

"Jeremy?! What's going on?!" she said, panicking.

"Dude, the freak's freaking out!!"

Jeremy struggles as his arm goes through a lot of pain, even holding it down with his other arm just to stop it, "W-What's going on?! Is this normal?!" he thought to himself.

The robotic voice spoke, "CALIBRATION COMPLETE, SCANNING PROCEDURE INITIATED."

All of the sudden, the pain stopped, though he was relieved, he even gave out a little sigh, he realizes that the device was scanning his brain. Meaning that once it's done doing that, the agonizing pain starts again, which is something he doesn't want to go through again, not in front of Christine.

In a panic, he simply said, "I-I-I'll tell you tomarrow at Rehearsal!" He quickly runs away before Christine could say anything.

"Uh....okay, bye....?"

Jake scoffs, "Come on, let's just settle down and have some lunch, kay?"

Back with Jeremy, he runs off to a bench nearby. He tries to catch his breath as he settles down, "That was a close one.....i could've-"

And son of a gun, the pain came back, this time it's much more powerful, feeling like a flow of energy is going down from his head through his arm. His whole body flinches as the energy flows through his arm, he even screams in pain while trying to resist going full on seizure. Suddenly, the device started to glow brightly, as circuit board details start to form on it, giving a light blue hue. Then the familiar robotic voice speaks in his head again.....

"DATA ANALYSIS: SECURE, EVOLUTION STRUCTURE: COMPLETE. FORM STRUCTURE: INITIATED."

Suddenly, a bright stream of light flies out of the device, Jeremy had to cover his eyes because of the bright glow. He didn't see what was going on as he didn't want to burn his eyes off and go blind, but he did feel a little sting on his hand. (At least he can let the thing go now after the thing was literally STUCK on his hand for a while.) After a couple of seconds, the glow disappeared and Jeremy heard a strange voice...

"Jeremy Heere."

He opens his eyes and he almost freaked out over the sight, it was a small dragon-like creature, almost the size of a child, with long paws with claws that reach the base of his feet, a dark blue body with some light blue marks on the arms, legs, and chest, pointy ears/horns on the top of the head with two spikes on the back, and a glass-like forehead that's light blue and his eyes looked like it was a part of it.

The mon stands boldly, "Welcome to your Digital Intel Gigabite Info Monster Of Nanotech, your Digimon."

Jeremy slowly gets up and stares at the small monster in front of him, "Wow....you look...."

"Amazing? Of course. Digimon are supposed to exceed the imagination of an average human." the Digimon said.

Jeremy looks at his new Digimon pal and observes him, "I.....have so many questions.....like, do you have a name? What do you do? And also, why do you sound like Keanu Reeves?"

The Digimon stares at his human partner and smerks, "I can see you're a bit confused about me, let me explain myself." he said, confidently, "My name is Circuitmon, your Digimon partner. My body is structured from your likes and desires to take the form of a likable appearance, my voice comes from the one person you look up to."

He rolls his eyes, "Though honestly, it was either Keanu Reeves or a sexy anime female voice."

Jeremy blushes a little upon hearing the other option, "I.....think Keanu is good."

The Digimon nods and continues on, "And to answer your big question about what i do, it's simple." Circuitmon crosses his arms behind his back, "I help you improve your life style and you help me improve myself."

"Wait....what? What does that mean?" said Jeremy

Circuitmon sighs, "You see, as a Digimon partner, it's our job to create a bond between each other to become stronger, just see our relationship as EXP in an RPG. The more i know you and you know me, the more EXP i get, and thus gain more levels." He releases his arms and looks at Jeremy, "So in order for me to be stronger, i must help you in any sort of situation you desire."

Circuitmon jumps onto Jeremy's back and wrapping himself around his shoulders and neck, the sudden leap caused Jeremy to flinch a little. Circuitmon looks at Jeremy and said, "So Jeremy, what do you want to do first?"

Jeremy kinda panicked as he's being kinda pressured to bond with this weird dragon thing, so he thinks of the closest thing, "Uh.....maybe go clothes shopping? To get a new shirt."

He simply nods, "Very well."

Jeremy goes to the nearest clothes store he could find, knowing that he got himself into this mess and he knows there's no turning back. He goes through a lot of aisles, passing by alot of clothes and having no idea which one he's gonna pick. Circuitmon looks as well and one shirt catches his eye, he pats Jeremy's shoulder to get his attention, "Get that one."

He looks towards the direction he's pointing at and takes out the shirt, "It has a picture of Enimem." he said.

"If you're so dispute, what do you need me for?" he said, with an annoyed tone.

He scoffed, "Do you even know who Enimem is?"

Circuitmon scoffed back, "Irrelevant. My quantum structure has unlimited data on any sort of subject possible, so don't be thinking i'm clueless to the human world."

Jeremy is surprised by the fact, "Woah really?" Circuitmon nods, "Well....how good are you with math homework?"

Circuitmon stares at Jeremy, "I'm a supercomputer Jeremy, i'm made of math."

Jeremy holds on to the Enimem shirt and said, "Ok, but don't try to tell me what to do. And to prove it, i'm gonna pick out a shirt by myself!" he said, proudly.

He walks through and aisle and picks out a random shirt that catches his eye, feeling proud that he can do things without a digital pet telling him what to do. But then it all shattered when Circuitmon breaks it to him, "That's a girl shirt."

He looks and....he was right. He unknowingly picked out a girl's shirt and he didn't even know it. Jeremy looked at Circuitmon, giving off a look that says "I told you so!". He rolls his eyes and was going to put it back, but then a particular voice catches his attention.

"Jerry?"

He looks and sees Brooke and Chloe standing there, he jolts up while holding the girl shirt, "You shop here?"

Jeremy had to come up with an excuse, "Uh.....not really? I don't shop much but i figured, h-hey! Why not? So..."

"You got a girl's shirt?" said Chloe.

Jeremy sweated a little, "Y-Yes." then he came up with another excuse, "B-Because i dared myself to pick out a shirt blind, and uh....." he looks at the shirt, "I got this."

During the whole time, Circuitmon is a bit annoyed by Jeremy lying to them, he's not surprised that they didn't notice him laying on his shoulder......until now.

Brooke sees Circuitmon hanging on to him, "You got a plush toy too?"

Jeremy looks at Circuitmon and realizes what she just said, "Well, actually its-"

Suddenly, Brooke picks up Circuitmon from Jeremy's shoulders and smiles, "It looks sooo cute! I know it's weird for me to gush about stuff animals but this one is adorable!"

She hugs Circuitmon tight, not knowing that Circuitmon is a living being. Jeremy kinda laughs at the scene, seeing his new Digimon partner being hugged like a teddy bear. But suddenly, he felt a tight squeeze on his chest, as if there was some kind of pressure on it. He didn't knew why it was happening, why does he suddenly feel pain on his chest? This is something he has to ask Circuitmon once he's freed from Brooke clutches.

Brooke eventually lets Circuitmon go and gives him back to Jeremy, who was somewhat reliefed that the pain on his chest is gone. Brooke smiles as they walk away from Jeremy, "See ya later Jerry."

He shoots back, "It's Jeremy!"

Once the two girls were out of hearing distance, he puts down Circuitmon and looks at him directly at his face, "Why did i feel pain on my chest?!"

"It's called Matrix Synchronization." he quickly answers.

"Matrix.....what?"

"You see Jeremy, there is a microchip installed in your body, that microchip is connected to a part of my data that involves physical touch." He said, "So to summarize, if i get hurt in any way, you feel the pain as well."

"Sooo....i feel your pain?" said Jeremy

Circuitmon nods.

He jumps onto Jeremy's shoulders again and wraps his paws on his neck, "Now, let's continue on, partner."

Jeremy sighs, knowing very well that from here on, his life will never be the same ever again.
