An Ancient's Game
It started off small at first. A robbery in Metropolis. A missing persons case in Gotham. An 'accident' in Amity Park. None of it connected. Nobody thought to connect them. It was just another case after all. There would always be another case so sometimes things slipped through the cracks. It happened.
Even heroes made mistakes after all.
They overlooked things.
But in the end they messed up and someone had to pay and someone did when Clark Kent heard his wife and son’s heartbeats vanish off the face of the earth during a somewhat quiet afternoon while he was handling a disaster in France.
He was the man of steel though, he could have made it. He should have made it but he was a second too late. His family was gone and Metropolis felt the fury of the old gods as a being made of wind and storms ripped its way free of an unseen portal cackling with mad laughter as it devastated the city.
It was another distraction though.
A massive distraction that drew the Justice League's attention away from the real prize as nightmares descended on Gotham like shadows. They morphed from the darkness slipping out through the cracks like ghosts and only Oracle saw the fight as they swarmed the youngest Robin, the Dark Knight's youngest son vanishing under an endless tide of nightmares as Nocturn took control of Gotham's nightlife.
More distractions followed as more and more of the old gods, Ancient beings long forgotten returned to Earth.
Storms raged.
The ground quaked.
Creatures of myth and legend were free to run wild as reports of everything from dragons to even yetis flooded the Watchtower.
In the end it was Diana who found their first and only clue when one of her mother's messengers appeared warning them of Themyscira's fate when a portal was opened for Undergrowth deep within the island's jungles. They fought. They fell. Then they were turned into mindless puppets bent to the monster's will as the sounds of war subsided into silence within a matter of days.
Her losses gave them a name.
Undergrowth, a creature of the green who cheered the being known as Clockwork while Constantine explained its origin.
He told them of Cronos, of the pieces of him that had formed into a new life deep within the endlessness of Infinity.
And Fate opened the way.
The first thing the gathered heroes saw was a massive clocktower surrounded by gears and pistons twisting in every direction as they spilled out into an endless void. Each tenth of a second, the hands on the clocktower click one step forward.
A single tooth on one of the smaller gears is easily the size of the Watchtower and no matter how far anyone looked there was no beginning or end to the clocktower.
There was nothing except the click, click, click of endless clocks as they stormed the Titan's lair.
Nothing stopped them.
There were no enemies or traps.
In fact the doors were left wide open as if welcoming the Justice League inside and they soon discovered why when Shazam found them. Superboy stood on a scale across from Luthor, the same with Robin and Waller. They were frozen in time, trapped in a single second of a moment while in the very middle of the massive room was a kid, easily Jon's double sleeping on a throne made out of the void of space but that wasn't what had him worried.
What worried him was the silence, the sudden nothingness in his mind as the voices of the gods empowering him faded away in the presence of the cloaked figure of Cronos suddenly standing beside the throne.
Even as the other heroes flooded into the room he couldn't hear anything besides a soft click, click, click as Superman was waved away forced into a loop of repetition that began and ended with his first step forward.
Green Lantern fell next, rapidly aged into an old man unable to match a Titan's will.
Then Constantine collapsed clutching an invisible wound on his chest. It was his contracts forcing him to obey while Fate eventually faded under time's cold embrace.
There were only a few heroes left when Flash made a move blitzing the throne only to suddenly lose his speed. The others simply glitched, like static on an old tv leaving only Shazam, J'onn and surprisingly Lois Lane standing in front of Cronos as he declared a game to decide Earth's continued existence.
'Convince each of them you're worth another chance and I'll restore everything.'
'Who's them?'
I don't really know what I was going with here. I was just listening to some of the songs from Epic and figured why not let an enraged Clockwork have some fun. I'm blaming Vlad for everything cause I can and he's done it before and caused a ton of problems for everyone else so I'm just picturing something he did or tried to do backfiring badly enough that Danny got seriously hurt so now everyone's gotta pay.

I would love for there to be more Wonder Woman and Danny Phantom crossovers. So in the I am putting an idea out there.
-You have Pandora and Clockwork (Kronos/Cronos) who I see acting as Danny's ghost parents if not mentors. The are educating Danny (who is either the Ghost king or will become the ghost king) in history of the Infinte Realms, the politics of the Infinte Realms, teaching about all the beings (besides ghosts) that deal with the Infinte Realms (gods, demons, angels, spirits, ect.). Basically they are educating him on the ghostly sides of things.
-But they can't really help him with his human side, supernatural politics/diplomacy has a lot more fighting/violence. So they need someone to teach/mentor him on human/mortal diplomacy. Enter in Diana both Pandora and Clockwork know her and she is really the only person in the mortal realm they would trust with Danny
-Diana as a princess was raised to be a ruler and she is the ambassador of Themyscira, valuable experience to help teach Danny. Pandora and Clockwork contact Diana to ask for her help.
-Danny at this point has retired as a hero (the ghost have mostly settle down by now) and is focusing on school and his ghost king duties. I see him going to college and double majoring in Engineering and Political Science (Jazz convinced him)
-Danny probably lives with Diana and goes to school in the city she lives in to make it easier on getting lessons (maybe the DC universe is a different universe then his own).
-Diana knows about his past experience as a hero and no the Justice League has no idea what is going on. Though she does inform Clark and Bruce that she has taken on a student/ward but that he is not a hero. Bruce is suspicious but can't find anything on Danny (making him even more paranoid).
-Diana is a great Aunt figure for Danny
Both diana and Danny say the most concerning things
The JL are wondering how they thought diana was normal before danny because the shit she says is so out of pocket
The second someone asks about Danny's parents she goes feral and starts insulting the person who asked
Sometimes she's seen tinkering with something and whenever someone works up the nerve to ask he what it is she says "Fenton anti-creep stick, I'm planning to use it. On the more disrespectful of me routes"
And you can't tell me Diana wouldn't get Danny to help mess with the JL '" to test your infiltration skills" " I must be sure the security system is up to standards" " no I'm not that petty"
And Danny loves it
He causes chaos with his aunt everywhere and the paranoid furry can't do anything because aunty Diana is going to protect him
#danny phantom#danny fenton#fic prompt#daily prompt#dc x dp#dp x dc#dc#funny#batman#Batman is slowly loosing his mind#Diana and danny cause chaos#Diana is happy she finally has a protasê#“AND HES ALREADY A PRINCE#“are your protisês royalty?”#Danny is living for the chaos

Friday, July 19: Metallica, "Phantom Lord"
R.I.P. Cliff Burton (1962-1986)
Before they or anybody else were labeled thrash, Metallica offered up an American response to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their love for Diamond Head has been documented to the point of exhaustion, but they were just as likely to cover Savage, Blitzkrieg and Saxon in their early shows, and that manifested in the original material they cooked up for Kill ‘Em All. “Phantom Lord” was pretty much a tribute to Savage and Motӧrhead even as Hetfield, Ulrich and Mustaine were rapidly charting fertile new territories: there was some Fast Eddie Clarke in the frantic but swinging riff, Lars was more of a percussion enthusiast than an actual drummer, and James barked and yelped like a California Cronos. But there was also a distinct personality and point of view embedded in all the frenzy, not just an American perspective but also the idiosyncrasies of these individuals (Cliff wasn’t as prevalent here, but he wouldn’t fully assert his chops as both player and composer until the following year). And that made “Phantom Lord” a crucial stepping stone for Metallica as well as a bridge between movements.

¿Ah? ¿Tienes preguntas?

random topic but recent news of upcoming survival horror games has been a sight to see!
IF ONLY WE'D GET A DEAD SPACE 2 REMAKE BUT EA ARE FUCKASSES WITH WAY TOO HIGH OF EXPECTATIONS AND CONSIDERED THE DEAD SPACE 1 REMAKE A FAILURE
they deemed it a failure. yeah. a game that was well received by fans and new players, innovating a bit on the core gameplay, adding new areas or environmental features in the same level layout, EVEN BRINGING BACK THE VOICE ACTOR OF ISACC CLARK SO HE HAS DIALOGUE WHICH WAS NEVER PRESENT IN THE ORIGINAL
deemed not a commercial success and they also axed the team that made it. fuck you EA
ANYWAY
Silent Hill f, announcement of Silent Hill 1 remake in development, Cronos, and Resident Evil Re9uiem
good line-up of horror/survival horror games that I can't wait to play!
#also End Of Abyss and ILL!#very much excited for ILL considering I never expected that to be a real game a few years back

Drawing this was a pain because i had to redo the shading several times and I generally don’t like drawing a lot of detail
I do want to say that there are changes to Cleon’s backstory
Quick explanation of his current backstory is Cleon went missing for a few weeks and was later found by Clark broken, limbs he originally never had, and with amnesia. He lived with Clark for a year (Jun 18, 2025 Edit: I would like to change that to more then a year, maybe 2 or more) learning how to be a functional person. Clark later went missing.

Clarice Episode 12 Review: Father Time
https://ift.tt/3cPHOFG
This Clarice review contains spoilers.
Clarice Episode 12
In Clarice episode 12, “Father Time,” Agent Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) finally loses her shit and clocks someone, and the series is better off for it. The young agent who rose to the top of a media circus on her first serial killer case has been scrutinized, chastised, hypnotized, and downsized since returning to the field. She’s had to run amok straight into danger just to get a point across which will solve cases. Tonight, Clarice lashes out at everyone, packs her boxes, and runs until her legs give out. It provides the most satisfying episode the series has given so far.
Starling has even had enough of her chosen, as opposed to assigned, therapist. Dr. Renee Li (Grace Lynn Kung), is the very definition of calming. Just a few words from her mouth usually silence the lambs in Clarice’s head. But let her blame being late on a traffic cop and the Sheriff’s little deputy snaps her cuffs. Clarice sees the scars on Dr. Li’s arms, gets her fill of explanations that unprocessed trauma comes out as anger, and goes with it. She’s been getting SOS calls from her subconscious, and her therapist can’t decipher them.
It is very telling, however, how Clarice responds almost automatically to the mere validation “you’re not angry,” from the therapist. The agent is an expert in many psychiatric disciplines, and is prescribing for herself. She visibly wills herself, through the episode, to come to the conclusion Dr. Li suggests at the outset. Clarice has a memory, and she doesn’t need regressive hypnosis to bring it out of her. That would be too comforting. When it finally comes, Clarice faces the pain the therapist wants her to accept, and it stops her in her tracks.
The ViCAP unit gets official approval to raid Alastor Pharmaceuticals, and Agent Murray Clarke (Nick Sandow) is having a blast. He loves Raid Days. It would be a perfect afternoon for him if it wasn’t for the agent who can’t hold his bladder. Peeing in a bottle is unnecessarily rude, and probably another piece of unprocessed trauma for Starling. The entire episode could be chalked up as a very bad day for Clarice.
Attorney General Ruth Martin (Jayne Atkinson) is now serving a proper function: acting as a tool to work against a quickly ticking countdown. There’s a lot of money involved, and she could just as well have gone the other way and pocketed her retirement in a weekend. Her daughter, Catherine Martin (Marnee Carpenter), owns the line of fire. Their scene together is sweet, and serves to allow the audience to accept their premature bonding.
As the ViCAP team enacts an evidentiary warrant for ties to the River Murders, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Paul Krendler (Michael Cudlitz) makes Alastor CEO Nils Hagen (Peter McRobbie) do the perp walk in front of all the cameras. But the psychopathic pharmaceutical magnate does it big. He goes both Shakespearean and Jesuit, forgiving his arresting officers as he is cuffed in the round. Ready for his closeup while gasping for breath, his eyes are open now. There are bad apples in his company, he admits, and he’s going to worm his way out of it.
Agent Shaan Tripathi (Kal Penn) is consistently growing as more than a well-rounded investigator. We learn he really knows his art, the brush strokes and everything. He can tell the difference between a painting and a blank canvas. After a few words with the artist, he realizes there is something darker going on, and it’s not merely the pigments of the oils and acrylics. Marina Abramović only used pig’s blood in her massively misunderstood performance piece “Spirit Cooking,” but the mentored artist dabs from a much more human palate. Don’t tell Qanon, but there are fetal tissues of five babies in the painting of Cronus the team took from Nils Hagen’s office.

Clarice: How Does The Show Compare to Hannibal?
By Gabriel Bergmoser
The chief executive replaces the damaging artwork by putting Joe Hudland (Raoul Bhaneja) in a frame as a still life. The entire sequence is extremely well done. From threat to cleanup, the problems facing the megamerger at the center of the crime disappear leaving nothing but further suspense.
The depths of the debauchery on the corporate fronts appears to be much deeper as ViCAP airs Hudland’s concerns about “uncovered sex stuff,” which Starling pegs as power. Her first reaction is to help what she sees as a powerless victim, Hagen’s heir, Tyson (Douglas Smith). Cronos is the god who ate all his sons but Zeus, and Clarice sees Tyson as an appetizer. The team later finds out the son is helping prepare the menu.
“This is what happens when bitches have badges,” an FBI agent says as he passes Starling after the ViCAP team are awarded jurisdiction of a compromised crime scene. The affront sets off Agents Esquivel (Lucca De Oliveira), who gets called “Taco Bell” for sticking up for his sister in arms. The situation could have given Esquivel the last drop in the law enforcement pissing match. But Clarice gets to crack the guy in the nose. It’s a good clean shot, too. We don’t have to see Murray to know he approves, and even Krendler looks like he’s biting his inner lip so he doesn’t smile out loud.
Clarice disarms and turns in her badge, but it probably won’t be for long. She doesn’t do it because of her anger. She doesn’t do it because Agent Ardelia Mapp (Devyn Tyler) and Agent Garrett (K.C. Collins) are right in naming her in their claims against the department. Yes, she got preferential treatment, and she sees how unfair it is. But Clarice turns it in because her father was more than a dirty cop. He was a bad daddy. The only thing stopping Clarice from walking back in that office to reclaim her name as a good cop is the show’s cancellation. And so, “Father Time” ends on a triple cliffhanger. The uncovered memory has to have an outcome, the son of Dr. Frankenstein is walking up the stairs, and Clarice turned in her gun.

Clarice airs Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. on CBS.

10. Juliette e […] (Estilhaça-me, Tahereh Mafi)
