I got thinking the other day after I went through those room toors... Do we know what exactly did Alicia do for the Writers to try burning down the manor? Do we know what beef the Writers have with the Painters? Is it, like, all the Painters versus Writers, OR just the Dessendre family? 'Cause Renoir did mention Clea's personal crusade or something along those lines. Did I miss something or was everything really vague?

But what stood out to me about the rooms was how distinctly theirs Verso's and Clea's are, and how almost impersonal Alicia's is. Except for the backroom workshop. And those backrooms do seem like workshops! Verso's got piano, Clea's harp + a ton of nevron paintings. But Alicia's a whole small library! With a typewriter. And both of her rooms have barely any paintings in them. So her personal space gives more Writer than Paintress, and we know she feels responsible for Verso's death because he sacrificed himself for her... or could she actually be somehow responsible & tied to the Writers Clea's fighting?

I've mentioned something that bothers me about the good ending here, and that typewriter is bothering me even more. Can Alicia be both a Paintress and a Writer? Can the real real Alicia actually be... writing everything? Can this for real for real be Inception-like situation all over again with 'this is real world in the end, OR IS IT?' 😹

Also I have to say something about people's love for Clea which is great I love her too I think she's soooo interesting! But people seem to focus so much on her love for her family and her loneliness in fighting this war (true) and just gloss over her casual abuse of her disabled little sister.

Maybe calling it abuse is too much idk BUT combined with how Aline is hinted to treat Alicia after the fire (not looking at her, avoiding her because she blames her, painted Alicia is literally forced to live with constant pain of her burns and muteness because Alicia won't let her forget it), Clea is pretty terrible to her as well.

Telling her that she both loves and hates Verso for saving Alicia, she wouldn't have done the same, it's Alicia's fault for what happened (her naivety caused Verso's death) and to repaint her throat before she 'forgets how to have a conversation' is so terrible I was kinda speechless difjsjfjdj and I'm shocked that people gloss over that when discussing her and just focus on "haha if my family was going crazy too i'd be mean lol"

I think she does still love Alicia even if she puts her down every chance she gets... love a beautiful female character who's also a pos ugh I wish people wouldn't ignore that like why would you wanna take away an interesting sister relationship like this FACK

you could probably argue it’s just for gameplay purposes but the fact that Clea can understand very clearly what Alicia trying to say even when she can’t physically speak does rotate in my mind permanently

I genuinely get so annoyed when people call the Verso ending a 'mass genocide' 😭😭😭😭 It's a personal thing because i don't think you should throw certain words around loosely but also they're art. The citizens of lumiere are aline's art. P leas.e. you're literally just saying anything.

How did the people inside verso's canvas learn that he died??? I mean people like monoco, esquie and such. They know he's dead but who told them? Or did they feel it happen or something?
