"Well, if we go by physical age, you're older. Though chronologically, he's most likely older. Though, we can't assume things here." Red Robin mutters to himself.
Except Kon hears every word. "Ya know what, he's my brother now. We'll figure out who's older later." Kon goes in to hug his new brother.
Danny is shocked, but accepts the hug awkwardly and pats Superboy's back.
"Awe, look at our boys, Lex!" Superman gushes.
"What?!" Everyone exclaims, including some bewildered citizens and newscasters.
Luckily, Danny, for some unknown reason *cough* ghost powers *cough*, doesn't show up on camera because he will not be remembered as the love child between a bald fruitloot and underwear wearing cheerio.
Superman looks confused for a second before his face goes bright red, "I-I didn't," he sputtered, "That's not what I meant!"
Lex drags a hand over his face and thinks, 'Great, now I have two children to convince to leave their father for me. Wait! No! Stupid Superman!'
To say the least, it was a huge scandal the next day that Superman had two kids with Lex Luthor.
The healine read:
Lex Luthor and Superman: Archnemeses or bitter Exes
He'd been flying above Metropolis.
Like a good ghost! Doing nothing but relax! Enjoying the weather, really.
It was so cool, Superman came up to him, they talked even! Superman was very, very, uncomfortable when Danny mentioned he was kinda dead.
It was really awesome.
Yeah, the keypoint being was.
Now? Now he is in Superman's arms, very much alive after being hit by a stray beam from Lex Luthors newest invention, quite literally hit from the sky when he didn't expect it and out of f reflex turned back human.
"I'm... alive?" He jokes weakly, smiling awkwardly at Superman's stare.
Danny considered this awkward.
Clark was processing the fact Lex Luthor somehow managed to bring back someone from death, his hands now full of said miracle and—
Shit, does the kid even have family left? What's he going to tell Lois!?

Brutal Unsolicited Truths. Meddling Of A Nosy Swordsman
"You'll never be decent if you don't do it every day."
"Huh?"
Lana sat up and squinted at Zoro, obscured except for the outline of his imposing silhouette. Perspective placed the blazing midday sun perfectly at his back from her angle, but she could feel his disapproval even without being able to make out his expression.
"This little training routine of yours. If you're not consistent, you may as well not do anything at all."
"Really? I thought anything was better than nothing," Lana huffed. She went back to her self-prescribed sit-ups while her crewmate stood over her with crossed arms and stolid features.
"You're not wrong, but your resolve is lacking," he persisted.
Lana was too out of breath to respond.
"What's your goal?" he pressed.
"My goal?"
She groaned and settled against the deck to catch her breath while she contemplated her answer.
"Nothing special, I'd just like to get stronger," she managed.
"Too broad."
"Excuse me?"
"There's no such thing as progress without consistency. And you'll never achieve consistency with lax discipline. Discipline is driven by resolve, which is fed by desire. You need to want the thing you're striving for more than your body wants to avoid the pain it takes to attain it."
"I didn't know you were a guru too," Lana grumbled. "I guess that all makes sense. So I need a goal or I'll stay weak, that's basically what you're trying to tell me?"
"Basically."
"Ok. A goal. I can come up with a goal."
Lana went back to her sit-ups and Zoro meandered off to leave her in peace.
'I can't say it doesn't make sense,' Lana pondered as she went through her routine. 'Luffy and Zoro both have really clear goals that guide everything they do. Impossible goals... but then, that might be the reason they're both so impossibly strong. So... what's my goal?'
Lana hadn't meditated much since Alabasta. In the brutal desert, it had become ritual, a nightly habit as the trek taxed her body and the lack of resources tested her spirit. The Avariya Lana who emerged from the trials of Alabasta certainly wasn't the same one who'd entered the desert with her band of new friends.
Now, she settled back into the familiar pose behind Nami's tangerine grove.
'What do I want anyway?'
Searching the place in her heart where desire should have lived, Lana found a conspicuous void. She swallowed hard, knowing exactly why she didn't have any clearly defined wants. She'd spent her childhood behind sets of literal locked doors and the only thing she wanted then was to be free. She'd hoped to run away with someone who claimed to care about her, but that hadn't worked out. Not by a long shot.
Thinking about that day made her start trembling.
'I'm definitely not ready to deal with that. Not today.'
She moved on hastily. The five years that followed were more of the same. There wasn't a thing in the world Lana wanted but to make her escape. The desire for freedom she allowed to consume her was so primal, so vast, so basic an essentiality that it left no space for other hopes to blossom.
'Is there nothing in the world I want at all?' she wondered. 'Everyone wants something. Even I have to want something. But... what?'
The answer eluded her, fluttering through her empty heart like a blank scrap of paper as she chased it, ever a step behind.
'I won't stop meditating until I make up my mind,' she decided, stubbornness stepping in to bolster her determination. 'Zoro's wrong. I have resolve too. I'll prove it.'
_______________
In the weeks that followed, Lana stopped skipping days. The regimen of her training easily became clockwork and after only a week, a break in routine began to seem unimaginable to the lockbreaker.
The change in attitude didn't go unnoticed by the swordsman who'd inspired it.
"You never told me what your goal is."
Lana had to do a double-take. Zoro was relaxing against the mast, swords at his side as always. When she'd passed him before, his eyes had been shut and she'd assumed he was napping.
'Right. He told me that's how he prefers to meditate.'
"I didn't have one when you asked me," Lana shrugged.
"You do now."
"Yeah."
"So?"
He waited expectantly. The desire Lana had chosen to drive her felt too personal to share, but once again, she found herself tangled in a web of nebulous indebtedness to Zoro.
"I still just want to get stronger," she offered. A half-truth.
"You're telling me this new resolve of yours is still resting on something so vapid?" Zoro scoffed. He clearly knew better.
'He told me his ambition without any hesitation. And I never would have taken the time to focus my desire into an actual goal without his meddling.'
"I want to get strong enough," Lana clarified with a sigh of defeat, "That no one will ever be able to take my freedom away from me again."
"Hm. The way Corrin did."
"Exactly."
Zoro seemed satisfied. He closed his eyes again and settled back against the mast.

Danny makes the Lazarus pit his home
So after afew centuries all of dannys family is dead and in the ghost zone, he's an ancient of space and time(curtsey of clockwork) and bored as hell
He decided to go on a trip exploring all the portals and just mess around for a few years now that he doesn't have anything important to do
One day he stumbles upon a weird by-product of ectoplasm (Lazarus water is similar to ectoplasm but it has different properties due to human meddling, it's not currupted per'se but it is more dangerous for humans)
He sees weird humans in through the Lazarus water and decides to go through, and since danny is the first ghost to come across it the Lazarus pit fused to him and is kind of like him minion now and a part of himself
And so danny is now fused to the Lazarus pit but not bound to it, and all these people are interesting to he'll stay for a bit
The league of assasins find him and are confused and more than slightly terrified, their just glad it seems friendly.
.
.
.
Ra al Ghul was and Talia al Ghul were going over the latese plan when one of the guards in charge of the Lazarus pit comes running in and telling them something happened
They follow him down to the pit and see...something in the pit
It was wrapped around itself and laying at the bottom of the pit, it looked black and white and they couldn't see any defining features
Just as they were discussing about what to do, the creature moved, it unwrapped and moved forward up to the surface of the Lazarus pit, it let up the top of it's head first and showed off its glowing Lazarus eyes and flowing white hair
It creature looked at everyone in the room before it rose to where it was half submerged in the pit
It looked around before it's eyes landed on Ra al ghul, it tilted its head again before it leaned forward in the land surounding the pit and rested its arms on the edges, it opened its mouth showing hundreds of needle thin teeth and a black tongue and mouth with white lights on it, as it it were mimicking the stars
"So...your the one who uses this"
The voice sounded young but had an eco to it, the creature sounds curious rather than malicious and its body language showed it wasn't looking for a fight
"Yes, i use the Lazarus pit now i want to know what you are and what are you doing ln it"
Ra responded to the creatures earlies statement, the creature looked a little starteled but not angry
"Hmmm... thats tricky. Im not really doing anything, mostly just cheaking in, y'know. As for what i am..."
The creature paused and looked at talia, and she couldn't help but freeze, it looked like it was looking through her very soul and searching for something, before it turned back to Ra al ghul
And it smiled...one full of teeth but not promising pain
"You may call me phantom"

Waaaaaaait why IS danny required to be the youngest?
Because Clockwork is kinda-sorta in charge of time in the Dream, and he decided that Danny is the Most Baby and will never grow up. Danny is also the first time they've gotten an Actual Kid for a while. Most others source their babies from mortal adults meddling in things Man Was Not Meant To Know. Plus, Clockwork was incredibly smug about the New Baby and told everyone about it. This solidified Danny's role as the Baby of the Family, and since others, especially in the Dream are partially defined by how they all perceive each other... Well. He's the Youngest.
I kind of want to fit in something about how Danny is somehow always the youngest person in whatever group he's a member of in later chapters, but I'm not sure how yet.

Throughout the last several months I have written about chronic pain and autoimmune illnesses, etc.
I sit still and think back about the days where I would promise myself I would always be healthy. I ate healthily, I exercised, I had a positive mindset, I did everything I thought was going to keep me in good health. On my mother’s side, between her health and all of her sisters, mother, aunt, even grandmother, their health was horrible. I did NOT want to live that way. Yet here we are today. The mysterious pains and symptoms have been adamantly clear since at least since 1993ish. As time went onI focused more on my family and career. Once 2013 hit, it was all health issues down the hill from there.
Don’t get me wrong, I am still hopeful, I believe God heals and I can receive a healing miracle. Honestly every time I think I know my body, I am correct, Then comes another diagnosis, round of doctors, tests, treatments. I just hide behind a smile.
Let’s now move on to the latest discoveries, how exciting (do you hear and feel the sarcasm?)
A couple of months ago, my headaches and migraines began to intensify. Since 2012, I’ve received Botox injections for these migraines and for TMJ. It has always worked, like clockwork, every 91 days I go for treatment. I then take Topamax daily to control breakthrough headaches as well as a mood stabilizer.
Once the headaches began to migrate from the back of my neck into the back of my head, radiate down my shoulders, arms, into my hands and even my lower back, I knew this was different. I sought help from my rheumatologist. My rheumatologist diagnosed me with Impingement syndrome of the right and left shoulder, Occipital neuritis, and Sacroiliac dysfunction. During that visit, I was treated with lidocaine/ steroid shots in my neck, shoulders, the back of my head and lower back. I received minimal relief at all. My rheumatologist then ordered x-rays.
These x-rays showed:
Degenerative change at C5-C9 and C6-C7 with uncinate spurs
Lower lumbar facet joint space narrowing of the L5-S1 disc
Lucency proximal medial aspect fourth finger proximal phalanx, erosion
My rheumatologist suggested that I go to physical therapy. I thought about it, I decided against it. A friend of ours referred us to a great pain management doctor at UVA in Charlottesville, VA. I went to his office a couple of weeks ago. He thoroughly listened to my concerns and my pain. He scheduled me for a series of MRIs before proceeding any further. In the meantime, my rheumatologist called in two more muscle relaxers, which again did not alleviate the pain.
Last Wednesday, my new pain management doctor contacted me with the MRI results and explained that there were major findings as he suspected.
Findings:
C3-4: Bilateral uncovertebral hypertrophy
C4-5: Diffuse disc bulge and left greater than right uncovertebral joint hypertrophy.
Left foraminal stenosis
C5-6: Diffuse disc bulge and uncovertebral hypertrophy. Bilateral lateral recess stenosis. Mild right and moderate left foraminal stenosis.
C6-7: Diffuse disc bulge and uncovertebral hypertrophy. Bilateral foraminal stenosis.
As you can see, this is a big deal, at least to me, not to include RA attacking two of the joints in my neck.
This is not my actual x-ray, it is just an example x-ray to show spurs
Foraminal stenosis is the narrowing or tightening of the openings between the bones in your spine. These small openings are called the foramen. Foraminal stenosis is a specific type of spinal stenosis. Nerves pass through the foramen from your spinal cord out to the rest of your body.
My pain management doctor was confident that he could help me, He explained there was a procedure called “the epidural steroid injection”.
I researched the procedure, watched videos to prepare myself (I always do this). Upon arrival at the pain management office, Dr. Messinger informed me of the procedure and the medications being injected was FDA approved, the procedure was updated, he explained that there is a space in the neck actually called the epidural area, that it was not the same as an epidural being placed at the time of labor. This was a relief because I had both children naturally, my last pregnancy, I attempted an epidural, however, it would not go through and caused an air bubble in my spine (that’s another story).
We discussed the risks overall. He did explain that I would not be sedated in any way, he allowed me to take my anxiety medication before the procedure. He explained the time it would take and that he would walk me through every step.
He did just that! It was almost painless. I lay face down on the table, with my face through a round cushion, the neck area is cleaned, the proper coverings are applied, there is an x-ray machine under and above. A local anesthetic is injected, this I was barely felt, he warned that I would feel pressure as he inserted the needle into the epidural area, this was minimal pressure. He let me know exactly what to expect as he pushed through the medication. There again, minimal pressure. A band-aid was placed over the site and I was told not to immerse myself in water for at least 48-72 hours. He placed me on Zanaflex, this is a different type of muscle relaxer. Dr. Messinger explained it could take 2 weeks for the full effect and relief could last 6 months or longer. He warned about the flushing of the face for 24-48 hours, my glucose levels could rise (I am also a controlled type 2 diabetic). Then I was off. The procedure took less than 10 minutes.
Throughout the day, there was minimal discomfort. The main discomfort was I had felt for months was being alleviated. During the night, I did feel a little achy and I took the muscle relaxers as prescribed. This morning I woke up with an elevated glucose reading.
All in all, so far, I am very delighted with the results and the decision that was made.
I will continue to drive over the hour it takes to see Dr. Messinger. I am pleased with his bedside manner, his professionalism, and his overall care for patients.
If I may offer any advice at all, please do yourself a favor, know your pain. If you have a doctor dismissing you, find another. If you have medications not working, speak up, they obviously are not treating your condition. If it doesn’t feel right, it most likely is not. Be your own advocate. You DO NOT have to settle.

What Are The Causes of Uncovertebral Hypertrophy?
Uncovertebral hypertrophy can be caused by many factors. Rheumatoid arthritis can cause the lining of joints to be swollen and inflamed. Or, the joints cartilage can wear away, which is mentioned as facet joint osteoarthritis. Once the cartilage disappears, the body recompenses by extra bone growth on the joints defined as bone spurs. These bone spurs can make it appear as if the joints are larger and thicker in a few areas. Therefore, either by extra bone growth or inflammation, facet joint “enlargement,” or “hypertrophy,” can happen.
What Are The Symptoms Of Uncovertebral Hypertrophy?
The pain of facet joint hypertrophy does not appear from the inflammation itself, nonetheless slightly from the inflammation effect has on surrounding spinal nerves. The vertebrae are enclosed by openings defined as foramina, via that our spinal nerves pass on their way to and from the sensory organs and muscles.
The swelling of uncovertebral hypertrophy can press on these nerve passageways, compelling the nerves to become restricted. This is why symptoms can frequently be “mentioned,” which defines they seem in places that are far from the damage site. For example, even though you may have uncovertebral hypertrophy in your lower back, the pain and numbness can spread all the way via the leg and buttocks.
What Is Right Uncovertebral Hypertrophy?
Right uncovertebral hypertrophy is a kind of a spinal disorder. Like sclerosis, it comprises the narrowing of spine parts. This can cause meddling with the spinal cord, leading to pain. You should see a physician/chiropractor immediately if you experience it.
What Is The Treatment Of Uncovertebral Hypertrophy?
Traditional treatments, such as physical therapy and pain medication, can achieve many cases of compression of nerve compression because of bone spurs. You can consult the best doctor to find the best kind of nonsurgical treatment for uncovertebral hypertrophy depending on your medical history and condition. If chronic pain continues after several months of traditional treatment, a doctor may recommend surgery as an option.
Cervical Facet Hypertrophy
(https://www.panoramaortho.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Dr._Knight-Cervical_Facet_Hypertrophy.pdf)
Degeneration and enlargement of facet joint.
Each vertebra has two facet joints, one on each side. They are like the “knuckles” of the spine. They are small joints that have cartilage lining like other joints in your body. These wear down over time, with obesity, and with trauma (ex: MVA).
Sometimes you have facet disease without any other cause just due to your genetics.
Facet joints glide and allow movement to provide flexibility, stability, and support to the spine.
Enlargement of facet joints can cause pressure on the surrounding spinal nerves and can cause radiating nerve type pains.
Symptoms of Facet Disease
Stiffness, discomfort when tilting neck backward, joint swelling, decreased mobility, tenderness near inflamed facet joints, muscle spasms and/or weakness. May cause neck pain that wraps around the neck and/or radiates to the top of shoulders.
Symptoms usually present themselves more with reading, sitting at the computer, driving, and/or jobs where you have to look up or down for prolonged periods.
Usually, Facet Disease of the cervical spine will present with neck pain only.
However, if the facets are enlarged enough, they can compress the surrounding nerve roots and cause radiating nerve pain.
Therefore, figuring out facet disease can involve a process of elimination. An injection can help to do this. If your pain goes away with a facet injection, then we know this is where your pain is coming from. Sometimes you can have both facet disease and nerve compression. So, sometimes you need an injection to the facets as well as to the nerves.
I plan to keep everyone updated on my journey, stay tuned.

Monthly Manga Review Index: September 2017
I’ll resist that hoariest of September cliches — the “back to school” lede — and cut to the chase: this month’s review index is bursting at the seams with new manga, from She and Her Cat to Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight, Queen’s Quality, and I Hear the Sunspot, as well as robust selection of older titles. Here at the Manga Critic, I was more productive than I was in August, posting reviews of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Elegant Yokai Apartment Life, After Hours and My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness, and the Hergé à Québec exhibition at the Musée de la civilisation. I also added two new sites to the Monthly Manga Review Index: Anime Nation, which posts good (if infrequent) manga reviews, and Boston Bastard Brigade, a pop-culture blog with Masshole swag. (I say this as someone born and raised in Boston, and who now lives on the North Shore — in other words, a fellow Masshole.)
Wondering what to read next? If the list below doesn’t help you find a great new title, Brigid Alverson’s got you covered with her picks for October’s best manga.
REVIEW OF THE MONTH
All-Comic contributor Siddarth Gupta is rapidly becoming one of my favorite manga critics. His reviews are thorough, thoughtful, and stylish, transcending a simple good/bad assessment to get to the heart of the work. In September, for example, he posted a lengthy article comparing Atsushi Okubo’s Fire Force with Okubo’s monster hit Soul Eater, in the process helping non-fans like me better appreciate why Okubo is so popular with teen readers:
While there is a lot to praise in Fire Force’s first volume, fans of Soul Eater may find it a slow burn. Atsushi Okubo’s storytelling and artwork are defined by a gothic-punk style, and deviant, morbid sensibility. Despite the saturation of ghoul fighting battle manga, Soul Eater popped with its pop aesthetic. Okubo’s character designs were fashionable and distinctive, and it was one of the few school-centered series where characters wore different sets of clothing instead of the same uniform. Every character had a unique look and design that unmistakably reflected their personalities, transcending their archetypes with unforgettable characterizations. In Soul Eater, Okubo seemed unbound to convention, and put all manner of crazy concepts, characters, and ideas into a world where both the sun and moon had creepy, smiling faces. But while hints of Okubo’s underground tastes are evident in Fire Force, it doesn’t recapture the same attitude and aesthetic that made its predecessor stand out.
And while Gupta’s review hasn’t inspired me to pick up Fire Force, he has inspired me to give Soul Eater a second look.
