Lovin the au for bill, the angst is lovely.

I like to hc that bill only went to the eye doc cause otherwise he would be thrown into prison.

Since, from what i heard, in flatland (the book bills world is based off) its illegal to talk about the 3d world. So instead of tryin to explain to bill what the implications of talkin about the stars were, his parents decided to take him to the eye doc to stop it.

Again love the art! I really hope to see more!!!!

oh yeah, i think that definitely contributes!!! i do think the ostracization he received was less about his weird eye, and more about the social implications of seeing into a third dimension ^^

YES!!!! i actually designed bills glasses the way i did to resemble canon fords!!!!! with the thick upper half and the visible screws!!!! even though i never draw fords glasses like that lol

I’ve been blessed with astigmatism and nearsightedness, albeit not horrible. It’s fun to squint at lights during nighttime to see the shinies. How would Bill react to normal vs astigmatism comparison pics?

i feel like bill definitely had a moment right before getting dragged to the optometrist where they showed him a comparison picture of with vs without astigmatism and asked which was more like how he saw

and he was like "PSSH, YOU CAN'T TRICK ME. I KNOW EVERYONE SEES LIGHTS AS BIG, SHINY BLOBS."

funny you should mention!! the original idea for the mabels muse au was kinda like that!!

originally i had planned that bill goes about weirdmageddon as normal, totally betraying mabel in the process. and what ends up setting everything right is the fact that he grew to actually like her as a friend, and seeing her so hurt by his betrayal was enough to make him undo everything. but back then the au was lterally a joke so i recognized that was very ooc lol. i do think he might start to have SOME regrets in the theraprism, tho

On your glasses bill, in one of your doodles he says that he looks ridiculous. This begs the question, could bill wear a contact lens? do you think the fact that his eye doubles as his mouth makes that less possible? are there other reasons he couldn't wear contacts?

first of all, thank you!!!!! ^^

second, i honestly didnt even consider the eye-mouth thing as a reason he wouldnt use contacts, but now that you mention it, that probably IS the main reason!!! on top of the fact that i cant imagine hed want to deal with the upkeep of contacts. plus, he might even be a little iffy about having something ON his eye at all times. his eye is a weak spot for him, both literally and emotionally. having a sheet of glass in front of it might LOOK ridiculous, but at least now people will be less inclined to try and punch it or bite it with a t-rex arm or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mabel has glasses so she knows, and YOU have glasses so YOU know which means by placing that sticker Mabel made the conscious decision to give Bill Sticky Spots™ that even MONTHS of dish soap treatment couldn't dissolve. She's gotten her revenge, but at what cost,,,

sjkfhjklsf oh i know. mabel can be BRUTAL when she wants to be <33 have we all forgotten about that time she casually made soos eat a pinecone (in alex hirschs words, one of mabels most heartless moments). or her screaming 'DEATH' about blendin???? she has moments of absolute heartlessness when she doesnt stop to think something through!!!! she might feel a ltitle bad about the sticker-lens-thing later but also, its bill. he deserves it and worse

it drives me CRAZY when theres even just one speck of dust on my lenses. i cannot even IMAGINE dealing with sticker residue!!!!! im sure the theraprism staff helped him get it off though <3
