hotch sitting down in gideon's office to watch a chaplin film with him in a proyector while they are at work is so precious to me

i just love to see the little moments between the characters when they have a little peace because they haven't been assigned a case yet

i really love how jj can get literally anyone to fold for her

"hotch, 63 people might be missing here...." she says as she stands right next to him with her big bug eyes and sad smile

S2ep22 is so scary omg. Ones where the victims are homeless or sex workers are so sad to me because they are the most realistic. If there really are horrifically evil killers out there, they're targetting the homeless. All these homeless folks going missing and literally no one is looking for them except these one off people who notice. The cop in legacy brings in 63 missings that no one cares to look for!! Same in to hell and back!!

Its just a very sad reality. These people could go missing in the hundreds and no one would notice. Even with all his conviction the bau doesn't believe this guy, except JJ. idk i just think its incredibly sad

Like with all these episodes of suburban blond ladies getting kidnapped or stranger danger kidnappings of kids. This type of thing is what's really out there

hotch completely folding immediately for jj in 2x22 when she flashes him her big blue bug eyes and is like "but hotch...there could be 63 victims here" and hes just like ..welp by golly there sure could be, forget everything i just said, lets get goin and then leaves on an unofficial invite 💀💀

i really like this episode, in large part because of this line and how that feeling continues throughout the episode. i appreciate cm's attitude towards it in general, as the concept of the "less dead" is something that i feel very strongly about. that's not to say cm never plays into it, or into Missing White Woman Syndrome. Even in this episode, the victim we're focusing on, Maggie, is an attractive White woman with nice hair and teeth (possibly a little justified as she's a sex worker and i believe not unhoused? but it's still worth commenting on that the victim we follow in the episode about victims who are considered disposable has traits that make her more "palatable" to the audience).

I hope I'm making sense lol. There are definitely people better than me to talk about these concepts and associated tropes and how cm both plays into and averts them, but it's on my mind a lot and I really like episodes like this one where an effort is clearly being made to not only avoid but to comment and criticize them.
