And in today’s instalment of shit I finally got around to doing that I’ve been putting off for 5+ years: sewing race and other cool patches to my awesome @trashmessengerbags #spacejunk travel bag/box. For the record I never actually went to the #Edmonton #CMWC but did go to the others. I’m just missing #Dublin 2007 and #Tokyo 2009. As you may or may not know, the mess bag that had those patches got teeft at #Chicago 2012 (I’ll see you in hell Cupcake). If anyone has a spare Dublin or Tokyo CMWC patch, post it and I gotchu $$. Special thanks to @the_captain001 and @emorydavidge for supplying the #Sydney 2006 and #Toronto 2008 patches, and @dtlamoves, @axolok, and @ciclismologo in #LA and @tallblondebastard up north for the #ULockMob and assorted other dope patches. Thanks as well to Andy for making such cool bags (there’s padded backpack straps on the back so you can carry no problemo. El fin de semana pasado tuve la oportunidad de ver la 1er mochila del Cycle Messenger World Championship #CMWC en Philly Bike Expo , cortesía de Jeff Scully, en el stand de #Ortlieb_Waterproof.

La mochila fue hecha por ORTLIEB en 1993 en Alemania. Cuando miro esta mochila, veo lo impresionante que es la cultura de los mensajeros. También muestra cómo se conserva la historia.

Ustedes mensajeros y partidarios de la cultura de la mensajería allá afuera. Conserven su historia, guardando spoke cards, folletos de alleycats, fotos, mochilas de mensajero viejas, parches, stickers, etc.

Last weekend I had opportunity to see 1st Cycle Messenger World Championship Bag at Philly Bike Expo. Courtesy of Jeff Scully at Ortlieb Waterproof. The bag was made by Ortlieb Waterproof in 1993 in Germany. When I look at this bag I see how awesome messenger culture is. It also shows how history is preserved. You messengers and supporters of Messenger culture out there. Preserve your history, spoke cards, alleycat flyers, photos, old messenger bags, etc.
