Project 2 - Discovery:

As we traveled to Coombs to start research on our branded series, I took notice on what tends to grab attention to customers the most. I noticed a lot of bright, bold colours on a lot of packaging which can stand out from the rest of the crowd. Seeing as I did a food product as my last project, I figured to go for a beverage.

Market Research:

My chosen product will be around sparkling juice. Some notable sparkling juice products are Cocococo, IZZE, Rita, Switch, Vinut and Blue Monkey. These are non-alcoholic beverages that are carbonated, giving them a fizzy or effervescent quality.

They’re popular as a healthier alternative to sugary carbonated drinks or alcoholic beverages. As in 2023, the global sparkling juice market size was worth $0.09 billion and is projected to touch $0.18 billion by 2032.

Product/Brand Selection:

My selected sparkling juice product is Blue Monkey’s Tropical Drinks. Founded in 2009, they are a locally based, family-owned, and operated Canadian beverage and snack company.
